Custom avatars on Pokémon Showdown!
In this thread I will list all custom avatars I could find on the Pokémon Showdown! simulator. With a little help of a few people that pointed out avatars I missed. This is only for avatars that have been / are being used on Pokémon Showdown!.

What is a custom avatar?
A custom avatar is an avatar only a specific user or room has access to. They are made specifically for this user and only they have access to it.

How do I get a custom avatar?
To get a custom avatar you require to be a global driver (%) on the Pokémon Showdown! simulator or by being a contributor (think of tier contributions, spriting, development team, etc.) Each and every custom avatar has to be individually uploaded to the server by PS Admins. This is also a reason why not everyone can have a custom avatar. For more information you can read this.

How do I change my avatar?
There is a few ways you can change your avatar. You can do it by clicking your name in the chat or in the top right corner of the screen. Then you click on the current avatar and a whole list of public avatars will pop up. You can click on the one you like the most to use it.

Alternatively you can use the /avatar [ID] command. Using this command requires you to know the name or the ID of the avatar. Certain avatars are only accessible by the use of this command. Those are hidden avatars and are considered an easter egg. I will list the avatars below as well as in the list with the custom avatars!

It was also from nearly a year ago, lots of new avi's are in by now. Anyway, I like a lot of these. Not counting my own, some of my favorites are probably Breadherodan, SolarisFox, and Porto, although I also like waddict, shaymin (the Masquerain one), and userofshadows.

I'm basing these sprites off of intimidation factor. A good sprite to me has to strike fear to the opponent (grr). It has to make that opponent think that your a powerful trainer because you have a tough-looking sprite. So...here are my top four custom sprites.​

4. Antemortem​
3. Trickster (his current sprite)
2. Business Tortoise
1. Haunter Sprite 2 : because Shiny Rayquaza

P.S. Don't lose a lose a stage of your attack stat while looking at these sprites in battle.
