I wanted to design a team around Light Screen and Reflect Because they can defend your Pokemon so well that they can usually setup without much worry.
Espeon @ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Psychic
- Yawn
Espeon was chosen because it can use both of those moves and pull them off well. It's my lead Poke and as soon as I start I use both Light Screen and Reflect, and Yawn when I can. Light Screen and Reflect are quite obvious, Yawn is to put other Mons to sleep to make it even easier to setup, and Psychic is just so I have an attack and I use it when I have the chance to. Oh, and Light Clay increases the Duration of LS and Reflect which is also great.
Azumarill @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Brick Break
Azumarill was chosen as my first setup Pokemon. Sitrus Berry + Belly Drum is a great combo which sets up fast and I can go for the early sweep. Belly Drum is to max out my attack, Aqua Jet is STAB + coverage (priority is also nice), Play Rough is also STAB/coverage, and Brick Break is kind of just there (I'm open to replace it). Huge Power Doubles attack which is nice to have with this set.
Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Roost
You can't really have a setup team without Mega-Scizor, can you? Once he mega evolves and sets up, there isn't much your opponent can usually do. Swords dance is to multiply your attack, Bullet Punch is STAB and Priority, Bug Bite is STAB and is helped by Technician, and Roost is to heal up the damage you take when setting up/sweeping.
Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
- Swords Dance
Talonflame is probably my favourite Pokemon when it is fully setup. Gale Wings gives its flying moves supreme reign over all others, which is the main reason why it was chosen. Swords Dance is to max its attack, Roost is to heal up damage, and Brave Bird + Flare Blitz are STAB and insane when setup. The Recoil is pretty annoying but Roost is always there for you. I got the EV spreads from a quick Google search and am definitely open to changing them if gives better ones.
Serperior (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Dragon Pulse
Serperior is probably one of the most underused Pokemon that I've seen recently. I chose him because of his ability, Contrary. Leaf Storm takes your SpA down by two stages but contrary causes it to go UP by two instead. After I get it to x4, I can HP fire for coverage (I really wanna replace this move), Giga Drain to heal up, and Dragon Pulse for Coverage (again, open to change). The idea here is to max SpA and sweep with your coverage (which I may be lacking).
Raikou @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 32 SpD / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Raikou is a Pokemon which was suggested to me on another RMT I made and has been working pretty well so far. Assault Vest is always nice, Thunderbolt is STAB/Coverage, Volt Switch is for a quick Switch (I guess), Shadow Ball is coverage (which usually works pretty well), and HP Ice is more coverage. He usually works OK for me but I'm always open for improvement.
AND That's my team. Thanks for taking the time to read that. Hope you like it and I would appreciate it very much if you would help me improve it. I'm open to changing pretty much anything so please leave your feedback below.
