Species = Wartortle, but Pokémon's Name = Whatever it's nicknamed? (Could be a censored word being used as the nickname.)

Otherwise I can't see anything wrong with it. May be that someone hacked illegal move reminder moves onto it or something.
(That or Eviolite/Wartortle are banned from rated battles, but that's not really something for a hack check thread.)

Language: ENG
Species: Latios
OT: HIRO
ID No.: 07404
IVs: 29 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Ability: Levitate
Pokemon's name: Latios
Gender: Male
Level: 100
Pokeball: Master Ball
Shiny?: Yes
Pentagon?: No
Moves: Draco Meteor / Psyshock / Surf / Defog (all moves maxed PP)
Nature: Timid
Region of origin: Hoenn
Characteristic: Alert to sounds
Ribbons: None
Item: Life Orb

This was received via a Wonder Trade. It's an exact match of Smogon's standard OU Latios set, right down to the 29 HP IV (Life Orb recoil) and the order of the moves. Needless to say I'm rather suspicious, but I don't see anything to prove it one way or the other.

Does it have the pentagon? If so, obvious hack.

Edit: Defog is a Gen IV-only move
It does not have the pentagon. Also, to be specific, the game lists the region as "Seems to have traveled across both space and time in order to reach the Kalos region from the Hoenn region" (received this in my Y version). I don't really know much about this; does that mean it could have been brought forward from Gen IV? Still seems like it's most likely hacked though. Cheers for the advice.

Terrible hack, IV+Nature combo doesn't exist for that type of encounter. Can people stop asking about their flawless shinies from GTS/WT?

OT: Tim
TID: 01213

Known and confirmed hacker who is pretty much everywhere. Don't know if he has an account. The hacks are often distributed on Wondertrade. A lot of people on Smogon and Showdown distribute his hacks without being aware. You can literally google "Tim 01213 pokemon" and find quite a few of them. The first link should suffice well enough, as no Keldeo are able to have trainer-specific OT/TIDs [source]. Not to mention the description literally says "It's a hacked Keldeo."

The ludicolo is a hack. No apricorn balls for lotad.

The zekrom is one of those 'too good to be true' can't prove it's a hack but no one would ever think otherwise because it's a shiny flawless zekrom.

And the Meganium is a hack. The event couldn't be shiny, and had no guaranteed ivs.

As for the rest, I can't say anything because they seem to be ok but considering everything else you got...that means very little

That's possible and slightly more believable of a shiny legend in ORAS...crap nature and only the guaranteed 3 ivs...but the fact that it has the same ID no as the hacked ludicolo (even though it's a different OT) is kind of strange

Oh shoot! I actually copy pasted all the lines of Ludicolo and forgot to change ID No. Axel's ID No. is actually 05729.

Then I think the Landorus actually is legit.

Edit: Can Latios be shiny and gave the pentagon? Guessing WT is dissapointing me with more hacks, just want to make sure. The IVs seem to be not that good, and random nature.

There's rarely any reason to believe that something from WT is legit, but there's no shiny lock on the Latis in Gen 6, meaning they can be shiny.

Besides the fact that flawless, shiny Pokemon from WT are more likely than not hacks (as pointed out numerous times in the thread), read the last post made by .com in this link:

It's up to you to provide proof that this is legit; you can't because it is from Wonder Trade.

It is difficult to say for sure wether it is a hack or not. A quick google search of the OT gave me this German site. There it is a shiny pentgon Bagon with the same OT and TID. Would be nice if someone who knows german could translate it, since I don't understand any of it. If that Bagon is hacked, this one is a hack. If the Bagon seems fine, then this Talonflame could be fine. But if you trade it and someone manages to get solid evidence that this is a hack, you will be in trouble. Finding proof that this Talonflame is legit is almost impossible, but that German link is the only way I could see that could be of any help. If the person listing the Pokemon there knows the person that bred the Bagon, you have a hope. Otherwise, you won't really get anywhere with that.

Edit: I think it says there that the Bisharp is a hack, so proving the Bagon is legit is honestly almost impossible. If you really want that Talonflame in your thread, you will need evidence. This link is the only thing that could give you something, so good luck proving it to be legit.

Edit 2: A policy where you only can trade stuff obtained from people on the site sounds smart. Is there any chance this could happen?

It looks ok. The only match I could find was here; Ot: ren ID: 55802. This isn't by any means conclusive that it's not edited though, as the bagon in the example could have been as well. Without being able to verify a hatcher or anything like that, you won't be able to 100% verify whether it is or isn't edited. It's generally not a great idea to trade things obtained from wondertrade for exactly that reason...you genuinely have no idea whether you're trading hacks or not.

It's your decision either way, but generally you should only trade things you can verify.

you ninja'd me while i was typing -_- the only conlclusion reached on the website was that the bagon looked legit, but couldn't be traded there because it didn't originate from a user there (we should try this...)

Edit: btw the bagon on that site was also obtained through WT

You could probably breed your own Talonflame within 20 mins, I can provide a spitback if you'd like since I have several spare.

Thank you all for your help. It seems pretty 50/50 if this is a hack or not, so I think I'll play it safe and not trade it.

you ninja'd me while i was typing -_- the only conlclusion reached on the website was that the bagon looked legit, but couldn't be traded there because it didn't originate from a user there (we should try this...)

Edit: btw the bagon on that site was also obtained through WT
Hello there, bisaboard is very strict about hacks and clones (sort of like Smogon + reddit rolled into one with an exception of being German). The OT and Pokemon in question were not allowed to trade there because they were suspicious and didn't originate from an OT on the forums there. The Bisharp they got checked was hacked (due to the Moon Ball obviously) DV is the equivalent of IV's in German and all they said was that it was legal for the Bagon, it has the "correct" memories and it's legal - so much like bisaboard, the Pokemon in question here is legal - but you don't know the origin and the origin is suspicious so it shouldn't be traded. Yeah it's a late reply and I'm sorry I missed it, but someone asked for a translation.

In regards to things being traded here that don't originate from here, we already basically do that to begin with we just don't outright say it. That's why we ask people to make sure of the origin and assume WT/GTS is filled with hacks, but people ask anyway - lol and no that policy sounds terrible because it gates new, potentially legitimate people from other places. It's a whole lot easier to just slap people in the head for trying to trade hacks than it is to shut out the entire... internet. I'm good at slapping people in the head, also throwing.

IVs: 31/31/31/31/31/31
Shiny?: Yes
Other comments (optional): Got it though Wonder Trade
Hacked, it looks fishy.

On a more serious note, the german link Ksh and flarg posted says the Bagon is from "Entfernter Ort", which google translate tells me is the German version of "Faraway Place". Last I checked that means Bagon was hatched in Hoenn while this Talonflame was hatched in Kalos.

Hey there! I just received this Pokemon in a trade and while it looks legit (they told me that they caught it themselves in one of their older games) I'm naturally a bit suspicious so I'd appreciate some feedback on whether it looks hacked or not. uvu Thank you in advance!

According to Bulbapedia, the only NA release of Mew in Gen III have their OT fixed (Aura or MYSTRY)
NA didn't have the Old Sea Chart event item released, so Emerald players cannot capture their own Mew. (Japan had theirs released)
Darn, I'd suspected as much. I guess they must have hacked in the Old Sea Chart. Thank you for answering!
