On that note: what should I aim for with Cresselia to make it somewhat unique? I'm definitely going with Heal ball, so I'm mainly asking for nature / IVs. Are there any completely flawless Cresselia on Smogon (ie. 31/xx/31/31/31/31), if so what natures?
And what is the best Pokemon to use for soft-resetting/capturing Cresselia?
I've seen flawless Bold, Modest, and Timid.
So a Calm nature could be something to aim for?
What about Trick Room spread and the natures for that?
You know what we need on Smogon? Some kind of Pokedex that lists all of the versions/soft-resets of each Pokemon and who has them. Would be insanely helpful, IMO. :D
By the looks of it, most natures have been done flawless for Cress. If you want something unique, maybe try going for a flawless hidden power spread? Something like Modest 31/0/31/30/31/30 or Quiet 31/0/31/30/31/0 would be unique enough.

Well, based on that list (if it is up-to-date):
- there is no completely flawless Bold or Calm Cresselia in a Heal Ball
- there is only 1 flawless Modest Cresselia in a Heal Ball (the one Nelson Tangela offered me earlier)
- there is no completely flawless TR Relaxed Cresselia (with 0 Speed) in a Heal Ball (the closest Relaxed one is Gothic Togekiss' with 2 Speed)
- there IS a completely flawless TR Sassy Cresselia in a Heal Ball (Tatertot's with a Speed of 1, which is the same as 0)
- there is no completely flawless Timid Cresselia in a Heal Ball
That does actually give me some options (as long as it is up-to-date). Now to decide which one!
Based on that, any suggestions?
Only because he's silly and overtly categorical.
Bold would be a neat choice for those who aren't doing semi/hard TR teams.

0-3 IV with a -speed nature is all the same @ lvl 50.
If you want something "unique" I would go Calm, it seems to be the least popular nature to SR for.

Would a Bold Trick Room spread be viable at all or is it just a bad gimmick? On the Smogon dex, under Cresselia's BattleSpot section there is a Bold moveset with one of the possible options being Trick Room, so I was just curious.
Oh, my bad. I thought it was just a Speed IV of 1 that was the same as 0, shows how much I know about competitive battling, lol.
I think I'll take a Calm nature Synchronizer with me in case I want to do a Calm Cresselia after the Bold one. :)
yea definitely, if the other two mons you bring could benefit. seems like youd use it on the turn youre gonna sac cress, like the opposite of a tailwind

Do we have any information for if/when the PGL Pikachu will be available? How long did the other PGL Pokemon take to be available?
Gives you a way to actually hit Bisharp and Heatran for damage. Aegislash still laughs at you though.
I own a Bold HP Ground one and always thought that it would be better with an offensive nature when I used it.
Trick Room on that Cresellia is basically just team support, rather than for itself, so that set would still run 31 speed IVs with the Bold nature, if you're going to go for a 0 Spe IV then obviously go Relaxed....
The Pikachu will likely come out when the rankings are announced (same as the Aurora for the Battle of Hoenn), so not this weekend, but the next I would say..
edit: that's if the Pikachu even makes it into the top 3 of the usage statistics for the tournament, lol. from what everyone is saying, Pikachu was no where near popular enough to look like it will make it. We'll probably just get a Light Ball / Pokemiles I think

Ugh, yeah. I didn't see as many Pikachu as some of the other electric Pokemon and even then about 1/4 of the ones I saw were Cosplay! >_<

Okay, so the Nameless Cavern just popped up but when I go in and try to interact with the ring it is telling me:
"A mysterious ring is floating in the air"
and then nothing happens... why? O.o

Haven't caught ANY Pokemon from Soaring yet, haven't messed with the time/date settings in the past 24 hours, and 98% of the time this game card is used exclusively on this 2DS. :/

FYI, the same thing happened on the Pathless Plain. :/
Then you've messed with the time or something. All locations that have a Hoopa ring will have a message when you enter if you can catch something there. The Cavern, Plain, and Forest each have three messages tying into which of the trio that pops out of them is available. Today (Thursday) should give you the message of a quiet gaze at the Pathless Plain, which ties into Virizion, for example.
Weird. I haven't messed with the time that I know of in the past 24 hours... ah well, will see if they appear alter on.
edit: Unless backing up and restoring different saves affects that, which would probably be whats causing it. >_<
