UU Simple Questions Thread

It appears that Showdown's servers are down. Or rather I can't connect. Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, will this impact the Hoopa Halloween tournament?
We might delay the sign ups by 30 minutes. This will depend on the time PS gets back up. King UU will open up the info thread and keep you updated if anything changes.

I do, I recently 'updated' Omfuga 's Sp.Def m-aero spread and moveset to my personal liking, the other one was outdated a bit.

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 248 HP / 68 Def / 140 SpD / 52 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Pursuit
- Toxic
- Roost

the EVs are good for something, I swear. all I remember is the speed EVs are so you underspeed m-bee (even adamant) and crobat, so you can pursuit them safely. moves are the same, defensive EVs are for checking some random mon idk anymore.

I don't really see why underspeeding them is any good, as none of them would actually stay and Uturn lol, but you don't really want to outspeed them either, as you want the bulk. On the other hand, Pursuit seems really useless, as it is doing 40% to 172 HP/0 Def Crobat on the switchout. You really want to run Earthquake, though, as it is your only way to sort of deal with Steel-types, as Taunt/Toxic already deals with everything else except for Crobat, which walls you, but you wall it too, so no reason to bother.

Quick drops and rises can't happen during a normal tier shift month, right? Just wondering about when Cut Rotom could move.

That's because quick drops and rises are unnecesary during a normal tier shift month. Quick drops and rises have bigger requirements to happen, so if something qualifies for a quick rise/drop they'd definitely qualify for a normal rise/drop.

is there any Reuniclus EV spread that works better with Life Orb? or should I go max HP max Def Bold, just like Leftovers Reuniclus?

Out of curiosity has there ever been any official word as to why Scolipede has or will not receive a suspect test? I promise I won't make a discussion on whether it should or not it should be.

Even if Baton Pass was banned on it, SD+Speed Boost is just totally insane. It has the physical bulk to take on priority and great coverage options to destroy about anything. Also, spikes lead is incredibly good.

Hii, question. What are some reliable Pokemon to counter Zapdos? I usually just end up outstaying them with my current team, and that's just tedious. Thanks in advanced \o/

If it doesn't have HP grass, Rhyperior, or maybe Mamoswine. Also if it doesn't carry Heat Wave, Mega Abomasnow is a perfect stop. Really, it matters on the moves Zappy has to whatever can take him on.

I've found Mega Sceptile to be a decent stop if it doesn't have hp ice, since it just eats thunderbolts, gets the boost, and can fire right back with a boosted dpulse.

Considering a set of Thunderbolt + Heat Wave + Hidden Power Grass, then pretty much any non-flying Dragon-type, such as Hydreigon, Dragalge, Goodra, etc. If it's packing HP Ice, then Mamoswine, Swampert, Quagsire, Rhyperior, etc. Aside from this, almost any special wall that isn't weak to its STAB is able to wall it. Florges, Umbreon, Blissey, Snorlax and many others are good at this job.

As a bonus, I really see Dragalge as a great check, if not counter, as it takes less than half from LO HP Ice and can come into its STAB without fear, while immediately threatening the opposing team with the combination of Draco + Sludge Wave backed up by Adaptability.

How commonly does non-scarf Hydreigon run Timid Max Speed? What are the important speed tiers missed out if a neutral speed nature is used instead of a +Speed nature on base 100s?

All variants of Hydreigon are max/max with a +speed nature. Otherwise you lose the opportunity of outspeeding +speed Haxorus 97, Arcanine, Kyurem, Darmanitan, Houndoom, Sharpedo 95, Krookodile 92, Lucario, Meloetta, Porygon-Z, Roserade, Venomoth 90, Hitmonlee 87, Rotom forms 86, adamant Mega Sharpedo 105, Entei 100 and only speed tie with +speed base 85s (Heracross, Nidoking, Toxicroak).

As for your second question, the ones i have bolded and Hydreigon are what you miss out. Lastly you tie with other base 100s that don't have +speed nature which is pretty much only Entei due to extreme speed and flare blitz being event exclusive moves. Other base 100 speed pokemon shouldn't be lacking +speed nature unlike in OU where people use modest Charizard and Gardevoir.

You can also check the speed tiers thread to find your answers rather than waiting for somobody to reply.
