Hello everyone, this is a team I made that got to #1 and I would like to share with you.
Simple team, with common pokemons and common sets that somehow made it to #1.
As it is a very simple team, it is very easy to play with it, so I think it is a great team for anyone that is starting in UU.

At first I had Honchkrow instead of Mega Swampert, as i lacked offensive pressure, but i realized I need to change, I will explain latter why Mega Swampert and why it is the only pokemon with and unusual set.
I decided I wanted a team that could lay both Stealth Rock and Spikes. SpDef Empoleon and PhDef Chesnaught is a amazing core that not only could lay Rocks and Spikes but could also Defog, Burn and Phaze.
Arcanine was the next choice, with good defenses and intimidade, it rounded the FWG core pretty well.
Next I wanted a pokemon that would avoid both getting Rocks on my side of the field and keep them from being removed from the other side. Answer: Sableye. Ghost + (Priority) Taunt means no Rapid Spin and no Defog.
Next I wanted a pokemon that could heal my team, Florges was the obvious choice...but it was to passive with the Wish Aromatherapy set...so I decided to make it a sweeper, and switched it to the Calm Mind set. I became surprisingly my main win condition.
Finally, my team was having problem with Rotom Heat, Infernape, Offensive Zapdos, Chandeluer, Blastoise, Suicune and other Fire/Electric/Water pokemons, so I needed a pokemon that could switch in reapetedly against all of them, not to mention a pokemon that could take knock offs, hence my unusual Mega Swampert.
Empoleon @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Roar
- Stealth Rock
- Defog
Special defensive pokemon that can burn some enemies.
Tips:
- Try to Roar when you know a defogger is coming in.
- Keep it alive against Rain teams.
- Suicune check, against Cune, always use Rocks, then Roar. Don't care about a Burn, Florges will heal you latter ;]
- Watch out for water absorbers and mixed attackers like Superpower Hydreigon.
Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Wood Hammer
- Drain Punch
Physical defensive pokemon with seeds and spikes
Tips:
- Bulletproof is actually interesting against Shadow Ball and Sludge Bomb, use it to get another lay of spikes
- Don't go laying spikes if the opponent has a defogger, use at most one layer before u get rid of it
- Wood Hammer instead of Spiky Shield to deal faster with threats like Suicune, Swampert, Kabutops and others
- Peoples don't always expect a strong attack coming from him, so a well timed Wood Hammer is very useful.
- Try to use Leech Seed against a threatening sweeper as this team can switch around till the opponents sweepers is on KO range
Arcanine @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Morning Sun
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flare Blitz
- Extreme Speed
Supposed to be First Gen legendary. Love this guy
Tips:
- Be careful with this guy, tho he is bulky, he must always be with complete health to check some pokemons
- Double switching with this guy is very useful to get the opponents attacker intimidated before he can even move
- Keep him alive if u think you will need a "Life Saver" Intimidate even if he dies doing so.
Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Knock Off
- Recover
The most annoying pokemon ever...
Tips:
- Taunt against Stall, Knock off items and burn the pokemon that could to serious harm to Florges, like Cobalion and MegAggron.
- Keep this guy alive to knock off Important items like Life Orb from Nidos (m and f) and Zapdos and eviolite from Porygon. (Nidoking specially, since it can 2HKO your entire team)
- Don't let it be tricked into a choice item!
Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Synthesis
- Aromatherapy
The Win Con
Tips:
- It can come in many times during the matches to fire a moon blast or heal your pokemon
- Keep it full health as it can only set up against some pokemon if it has 100% hp
- Don't be greedy! Just use enough calm minds to sweeps, normally just 2 is already enough
Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Roar
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
The weirdo in this team.
When you see a mega and powerful as Mega Swampert you imagine it been the Star of the team...this time is isn't...but it is the glue the team needed. Amazing Defensive typing backed up by 100/110/110 defenses, plus Scald and roar and you've got a really difficult pokemon to kill.
Tips:
- Bring it in against all the pokemon I mentioned in the beginning and start Scalding/Roaring.
- Time your Rest/Talk well, remember you've got Florges that can Heal you, so you don't always have to wait 2 turns to wake up
Final Considerations:
There really isn't much about this team, it ain't strong, it doesn't have any amazing set, but it works, and I really encourage you to try it.
This team works better against Balance and Offense, but it requires some serious smart plays to win against HO and Stall so, be careful!
