Thank God for OHKO Clause. Anything Goes will be pretty shaken up, though.

Oh, and since the Gen I transfers are Banked, does that mean they can be accessed in XY and ORAS too? And how are they going to handle all the new data (Natures, EVs/IVs, Shininess, etc.)?

Here's a shot of that same model (I think) but from the back.

We are still in gen 6, right?

We don't really know. I'll be watching the vid a few times later on to see if there are any other clues. Two games does match with "the Pentagon Theory"... But we do not know if this "New" Adventure is going back to Kalos or not... Or if it's a New gen...

The model totally looks like the beak and color lines of Fletchling I think. I could be wrong though...

EDIT: Oh, yup. The head swoop is more visible now. Not Fletchling.

Judging from the feet and beak, it definitely looks like a bird, but the green parts on it look like leaves. Grass/Flying starter perhaps?
I don't think they're actually green. They're incomplete wireframes. My second screenshot shows kind of a red and white color scheme, again, like a lot of woodpeckers.

It's definitely NOT Fletchling because of the swoop on the back of its head.

TMs. The originals are going to get new moveset options come Sun and Moon.

How does IV building work in Gen I, again?

Att, Def, Special and Speed all have 0-15 DV. HP is calculated from these 4 values.
EVs can be maxed in each stat.
Gen II mechanics:
  • Gender is decided by looking at attack values (form 1:1 genders it's 0-7 is female, 8-15 is male)
  • Shininess is 8 different values in Attack and 10 in the other three

I'm gonne assume once transferred. IVs will be either *2 or *2+1. Gender is decided through Gen II's mechanics, as will shininess. EVs will probably all be cleared or cut down so you have the equivalent of 510 spread around all your stats.
Dunno about natures and abilities. Could be that natures will automatically be one of the 5 neutral ones, and ability randomly picked from it's non-HA abilities.

Hm, say, would these Gen I moves maybe be made be learnable by Pokemon in Sun & Moon via Egg Moves?

So, these are the shots of our new bird friend...

So, what the heck is this supposed to be? I think it looks like a woodpecker or something.

It's the grass/fire legendary I predicted, obviously.

Kidding but holy shit I woke up early on my day off for Pokemon news. Nothing has changed since I was a kid evidently.

I am very excited to transfer RBY Pokemon to sun and moon. Wish we got more info about sun and moon though, ugh. Holiday season? It's gonna be a really long wait.

What worries me is all the non-fixed glitches they said they'll keep in.
Screw TMs, Mews will be as cheap as regular catches soon.

I played Red on emulator recently with the clear intent of abusing just about anything I could, and it's very easy to do. You can even generate glitchmon which will turn into Lugia in Gen II.

Did anyone else notice the "it all comes together" at the end of the trailer or was it just me? It's about time they linked those damn regions together

Yeah, the new Pokemon definitely looks like a woodpecker:

Red crest, bluish beak, black/dark grey body coloring.

Also looks like there might be a focus on emergency operations? There's an ambulance and a fire truck (with a Blastoise on a crane in the back, awesome).

SO, following the concept art it looks like they want to include more modern-day stuff (CARS, FINALLY) in the games. I think it'd be kind of nice in a way to have more cities obviously built for a metropolitan life in the Pokemon world that aren't just stops along a trainer's journey. Having cars present probably means having roads and infrastructure in towns to support automobile transportation, so they may be trying to make more cities like Castelia and Lumiose that aren't just top-downcities where all the doorways face south.

I thought at first that the little bird was just a Fletchling, but I'm probably wrong.

The rest of it is just concept art, no 3D or finalized game assets.

Those are a lot more cars than we're previously used to seeing in Pokemon.

I wonder what this means for Gold, Silver, and Crystal VC! Since Gen 2 has the same DV system as Gen 1, it seems like it would be a shame to create this transfer system and not release GSC!

That's a really good point. I can totally see that coming out in the future, maybe as an addon to what is clearly Gen VII that we're looking at.

The standing characters in the shot near the Horsea statue are of a COMPLETELY different animation style than XY; much more humanly proportions. Just pointing out. And the obvious differences between the PokeCenters and whatnot. Maybe this is Gen 7? Or a GSC like link-to-Kalos thing.
