Hello Shiny_Greninja

You can make a groupchat by using the command /makegroupchat you can use the command /help makegroupchat to have access to the command details.

However you need to be at least driver in a room or global voice and above to be able to create a groupchat.
Thank you very much. (now all I need is to become a driver)

Am I just not seeing it or is there no way to reduce PP (that is not applying PP Max) to moves in the teambuilder?
No, there's no way to reduce pp. The pp is set to max by default because this sim is for competitive battling and in said battling, you're going to want access to your max potential PP.

In most cases I'd agree but twice now in VGC games I'd've been better of with just the base 5PP on Detect. Since Encore ends early when you run out of PP getting out of the lock sooner gives low PP a purpose. Especially for VGC, BSD and BST were the games are very fast paced and you're very unlikely to ever use all the PP on either Protect or Detect anyway.

I'm on a mission to provide a competitive metagame for the ROM hack Pokémon Vega, which provides a completely revamped Pokédex. Initially I pitched it as an Other Metagame, but Eevee General deemed it inappropriate because OM has narrowed its focus to small (but wide-reaching) targeted changes to the standard game, rather than large sweeping changes. (They also were uncomfortable with the fact it's a ROM hack.)

It'd be a shame to waste all the work DrAkimbo has put into making a Showdown mod possible (they've provided hopefully-ready-to-go items.js, learnsets.js, moves.js, pokedex.js, scripts.js and statuses.js) so I'm hoping I can use my own server and make this work myself. Do I need to host the client, or will it all just work with only the server?

This will work with just the server, but the Pokemon's sprites won't display and you'll need to use import/export to even use the new stuff.

I have seen a video of a kid taking out a team of 100's with a lvl 1 aron(with shell bell) and a smeargle that uses sand storm on Pokemon Showdown. In the video the narrator called it a gltich. This has also been used on me on Pixelmon. My question is, is this a legal, viable strategy in Pokemon. Or are the players using a gltich in the Showdown/Pixelmon program?

That's a FEAR set and it's legal. The original version is with Rattata but now people have created similar sets with things like Aron, Magnemite, Probopass, or Cottonee.

Is there a way to get access to a large database of replay files? I'm interested in the data set that is used to construct somgon.com/stats

Ok thank you. The best defense is to have a ghost type on your team? What are other counters?

Laying hazards before aron can get into the field, taunting smeargle before it sets up sand, burning the aron, using regenerator pokemon to stall out endeavors etc.

Use something that doesn't take Sand damage, grab a Mold Breaker Pokemon, use multi hit moves, hax the shit out of it (Thunder Wave is a good move!), wait for Sandstorm to end, etc

Hello there! I had just private messaging an admin about password reset on PS. He said that it's not their department. So I had asked and it never happened, can you add the person from the correct department to this PM? I had gotten no response. So who do I need to talk to about resetting my password?

I really think the PS system should have a password reset link instead of asking the admins to reset it for you.

How do you make bots on Pokemon Showdown? And also, is there a way to make them without node.js?
You can write bots in many different languages and environments, not just Node.js. This document explains the PS! protocol and also links to a few existing bots that you can use as references.

Make a thread in the Other Admin Requests forum to get your password reset. A reset link might be added to PS! in the future.

In suspect tests, the only options available are "BAN" or "NO BAN" Supposing you're eligible to vote, can you still choose "ABSTAIN" even though it's not explicitly said? If so, does it affect the percentages or rather, are they counted? Let's say there are a 100 total votes with 59 for ban, 39 for no ban, and 2 for abstain. The minimum votes required to ban something is 60% and with only 59% of the votes going for ban, the results will not ban OR do the abstain votes get thrown out, essentially considering only the 98 votes of ban and no ban, which would then effectively put the suspect in favor of ban after reaching the requirement of 60% ban votes (59/98=60.2%).

This question is in the wrong place but as a tier leader I can answer! In my experience, abstain votes usually aren't thrown out; they're generally counted as "maintain the status quo" votes (other leaders have often told people "if you're not sure then vote no, don't abstain"). This might not apply to all metagames though; if you're curious about an individual test, post in its respective suspect thread or ask the tier leaders.
