FFS, it's only in Japan, don't shit your pants or anything. North America has been getting stuff earlier than Japan for awhile, this won't affect us.
 
I can't think of another update today on Sakurai's blog than Sonic. I mean is so obvious!...

No, i saw it too. If Japan get delayed...America...well, you know the rest :/.

Edit: True Yoshi King...but even the most optimistic view would be January.

...Sorry, I said that would never happen again, but that's one of my favorite Sonic songs ever, and kicks the crap out of an overdone Green Hills Zone tune. Brings me back to the days of playing Sonic Adventure 2 all over again.

And I've got to say, if that's Jason Griffith (which it may or may not be. The voice sounds like Ryan Drummond), his voice is SPOT ON. I think this has actually been the first time Griffith has really impressed me with his Sonic voice.

Oh, and Sonic looks like he's extremely fun to play. But now I have a dilemma on who to main as: Sonic or the Trainer.

Hmm....
 
Dojo update, and it is the Sonic one we all guessed. Aside from Sonic, we see Torchic and Kyogre from pokeballs, more co-op play, how stickers/trophies are used, and probably more but I'm really not paying too much attention.

EDIT: Sonic movie doesn't work on en_us website, the Japan one does. Looks like his ^Air A is the same as Falco's current one, he could turn out to be a really good character.

If you look at the page it now says the release date is TBD. Looks like shitting myself was fully warranted.


Oh and the sonic video looks pretty cool.

Shit not one minute before you posted this I was gonna say "Oh look...". My apologies for being snobbish.

Fuuuuuck I swear if Brawl is delayed until after Christmas I'll be pissed. Kinda. Actually I won't mind so much but goddamnit I want to play the game so badly.
 
That Sonic video is too awesome to describe with words. I loved that they included "Live & Learn" from Sonic Adventure 2! I'm really looking forward to whatever Sonic stage will be, the music that will be included, and some Sonic Assist Trophies!

Knuckles and Tails, hell even Amy, would make sweet ATs. If only to see them make an appearance in the game.

Not only that, but doesn't piss all over his character either. This is the first time since Sonic went 3-D that I've seen him act "badass" and the first time I've truly seen him with his cocky attitude that I loved when I was a kid back from the Genesis days. Now days, he acts more like a generic anime hero. That finger wag with the cheeky grin at the end of Sonic Joins Brawl made me smile from ear to ear.

I'm glad to have Sonic back.
 
Another thing I'm looking forward too is a classic Sonic stage in adventure/story mode, with loops and stuff like that (we can see something like that in the video). That would be really awesome.

Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik/Eggman I think are the other main Sonic characters that should at least make an appearance in the game.
 
Haha, I can imagine a horizontal Icicle Mountain stage for Sonic, complete with rings and loops :O

In other words, Sonics B or >B move looks a lot like Jigglypuff's Rollout move.

Why not just use the Green Hill Zone boss stage as a level? It looks like it's kind of designed like a Smash stage anyhow.

Just add Eggman occasionally coming about and swinging his checkerball of death as a gimmick and you're set.

ah, just noticed the TBA.... as long as it's not after christmas.... I'm stuck at college for a good while after the 5th so It doesn't effect me that much :P. Then again I want this game to be as good as possible, as these games come out like every 6 years, so even a delay into January won't bother me that much
 
SONIC IN BRAWL

Holy hell. I was so expecting another hum-drum update today like another assist trophty or something, but what do I wake up to see? Sonic the Hedgehog! Hell yes! NSider was shut down for a good reason these past couple months.

Anyway, video is amazing (Live and Learn is the BEST song I have ever heard from a video game soundtrack), bonus smash video revealing a couple new pokemon is awesome too, as well as co-op mode and many other things.

...I daresay that this is going to be the most kick-ass game since the original Mario Bros.
