Nah not accepting this, thats retarded to get Dqed for that. He forgot it was banned, and easily could have changed espeed to a different move and re did the match. Its semis of MPL, getting a win this way isnt entertaining for anyone
As I said earlier on PS, it would be equally shitty for Dak to play out the match and then lose. His opponent brought an illegal move. In any standard tournament, he would have been immediately disqualified for that. It's a shitty situation for everyone and honestly I feel bad for both players, but this is the most fair way to do it.
They're the rules for a reason, and if they're broken, then you get penalised. Heck, in this case I'll bring zard x into mono and say I didn't know. Seriously for someone to be 7-1 in MPL who consistently played STABmons, not knowing a move is illegal is just stupid. What's worse is that you guys are completely disregarding tournament rules and are being immature at it.
I'm writing my shoutouts now but I disagree with you on how we were being immature about tournament rules. Yeah, I was salty + I forgot, I asked for a redo and got denied. Cool. Animus Majulous - The immaculate UU monotype prodigy. I knew you as the dude who used a cool flying team back in the day and played CAP, but since being with you you're a chill person and your UU teams were cool.
Azelea- AAA legend under Yaksok who had some cool matches and teams along the way, besides the choke or misclick 1 or 2 games
Bushtush - Legend who had some good matches along the way as well, also heat teams

Well, that's quite an unfortunate way for things to end. But I'm not upset with Jak or anyone on my team. I have my head held high because we gave it our all every week and we were a threat from the get go to take it all and everybody knew it. This year was such a blast and I had so much fun with my team. It's always a fun time of the year in general to me, I enjoy the banter with other teams and getting to meet cool new people and get to bond over a big tour like this with people that I've already known for quite a long time.
There's probably more people to shoutout and I'm sorry if you're not there; I honestly love this community and it's an honor to me that I'm a manager of one of the teams in this event. Everyone performed so well and even though there's drama (inevitably) with this event, I always love participating in it and having fun with friends.
Animus Majulous I was so honored to have you on my team a second year in a row. You're an amazing player, you learn tiers so quickly and I feel confident putting you anywhere. It's pretty ironic, but you were one of the best performers in both Hidden Type and UU and I never heard you complain about either. You're a legend man, not even a globally renowned "bad" meta for any MPL can stop you. It's been great to talk to you more too, and I know you're busy with school but don't become a stranger.

I know you were upset about some misclicks and matchups, but I was really pleased with how you did in AAA. I think you had said you were leaving PS after the MPL, but please message me on Skype or something. Same thing I said for Animus goes to you (and no shocker it's gonna to to all of you xd) don't become a stranger. You're such a nice guy.

I was seriously gonna take you for 15K too if I had thought I couldn't get a Dubs player I wanted for less than the Assman/Manager price tag. It just speaks volumes to how good of a friend you are, since I'm pretty sure even though you don't play much anymore, you would've played for me if I asked. Disbelief If anyone gives you the "LOL FRNEN COST 8X MORE" shtick tell them to come talk to me n_n Anyways we've been friends for awhile, you clutched out that win Week 1 even though I know you weren't too happy with your play, but you got that nice FLAMES win (literally, you used fire) against Chef the last week of the reg season. Best 4K pickup imo. I know we'll be seeing more of each other but like I've told everyone else, stay in touch you're cool to talk to.

Honestly how you didn't get bid on is beyond me that was a huge oversight and I felt like such a huge pleb not knowing of you before (and most the time I think I know this community well u_u). You guys were so good anyways that I thought I'd just be getting in your way. I wouldn't do anything different in the draft, I know I drafted the very best team.

You're one of the best ORAS players and it's a shame that RNG didn't let that shine through. You did so much initial organization with getting everyone together and helping plan what people would play. Just as a FYI, if we were in finals, I wasn't going to do what you asked because I firmly believe you gave us such a good shot to win EVERY week. Don't get so down on yourself; you played very well this MPL regardless of what a record might show. And, as with everyone else, keep in touch. We'll see each other so it should be easy.

Well...That was a very anti-climatic way to end the "Epic Semi-Final Tie-Breaker".Props to Kinglers though,We brought it back in the normal series and they brought it back in Tie-Breaker.Although I'm not sure how I feel about that DQ,it still is a website based on Pokemon so I can't really be too salty about that.
Anyway about my MPL season,I'm not gonna lie,If I could get drafted for any team in MPL3,I'd definitely go for Omega's team again because unlike last season, our convo's in the Smogon and Skype group were fun as hell.Everyone maintained a positive attitude and was always ready to test teams.I still remember,in the very first post Omega said "Before I get into the lineup, I wanted to just preface my expectations for the whole Premiere League. First things first, and it might sound lame, I want you to have fun. Yes, winning is great, but if you're not enjoying the experience, this whole thing can really be droll." And we did that, we were always having fun in the group and making jokes.It's a shame how almost every one of our week's were us getting haxed or us haxing,the only good week was against ampharos in week 8 I think.I'm not really happy with my W/L (4-3) but hey,I got drafted for 4k,I guess I can use that excuse now.
Goodluck to Kinglers and Diancies although I'm personally rooting for the Diancies to win.

Got back from Camping last night, and just checked out the forum today.
I enjoyed playing, and hope to play again in the next MPL. I don't feel like I built much of a relationship with anyone other than Omega, who I'd already spoken to some previously due to us be regulars in a couple similar rooms.
In my short time in the community I feel I've learned a fair bit about it. Like with any community there's good to come out of it, and there's bad. Whether or not one is more prominent is entirely subjective, and I've said before, I'm just here for matchas. I think with that mindset I'll have a better experience in the community. Regardless of what I say though it'd be pretty hard to join a new community, without making at least a few friends. Typing out all these shout outs is time consuming as fuck, so forgive me for this.
Shout out to my team. It's the first time I've gotten involved in anything with the monotype community, and along with the help of you all we got into playoffs. I'm a little disappointed, as I know I could have done a lot better a few of these weeks, but I know I can learn from the mistakes. Also special shout out to Omega/Beta for drafting me. :)

I remember signing up for MPL. At the time, I was just getting back into PS (basically I can now get on for about 15-30 minutes a few times a week) because I figured out how to manage time in the college life, and I wanted to do something to spend time with Sae. But, I mean, I had no real expectations of getting drafted. In my perspective a team should draft the players that give the best chance to win, and I hadn’t played pokemon at all in a while so I was extremely surprised when it was not Anttya who drafted me, (It would be just to unite me and Sae, and I was pretty sure I’d be a good water-boy and benchwarmer) but Omega.
I played in the first MPL, and basically all I played was hidden type. Obviously there was no hidden type this time, so again, I expected to be benched nearly every week. Last year, I played for Omega as well, and our team didn’t perform that well. But he drafted me again, and this time…
We had a great team. We have great ORAS players, doubles players, and some monotype legends (at least in my book). But guess what. Omega let me play every other week, and I managed to only lose one battle. I’m proud of myself as a player for spending time to win in a ‘not main’ tier, but I’m even more proud of the rest of my Memers.

Bushtush – If I’m considered good at Mono UU, this guy is the LEGEND of mono UU (and of basically every other mono tier). Bush, you did great. Yeah, you’re getting a lot of shit thrown at you because you tried to fight for Jak’s loss, but that shows something about you. Yes, many people do not approve of what you did. But you fought for what you believed was right and had great intentions, and it shows that you were an INCREDIBLE teammate to play with. You stick up for us for better or for worse. I loved testing with you and I hope we can keep in touch.
Disbelief – Where Azelea and Ridley helped a lot with getting people sorted into playing the right tiers and helping Omega out with that, you were the one that was very open in pms. You would help organize testing days, you’d answer all my questions as best as you could, and you’d direct me to other people too. There was nothing more I could ask for in a team mater.
BlackJak - I'm so sad you're leaving, but we all wish you the best. You're such a fantastic player. You speak your mind, are honest, and you do the best for your team. It was rough. But lemme tell you something. You DID NOT let us down. Heck, without you and Bush we wouldn't have made it this far. You're another of our LEGEND players. (really is a legend now). I hope we can keep talking, I enjoyed our pms and your leadership in our group chat.
Jyph – I mean, Jyph, you killed it out there. Your BW skills are of the next level. But that is not what makes you a good player. You stay cool, calm, and collected during battles, and outside battles, you are a really nice guy. Just like Zarif, you were open in pms, and I could immediately tell you were a great guy.
Prosaic – You had unfortunate hax/shit thrown at you, confidence issues, and school (I understand the Asian feel my friend). But that is not what I remember about you. Right at the beginning, when I got drafted, I tried to relearn mono, and you were the one who helped me out. Keep your confidence high and don’t let others get to you. Remember, its not others you are playing, its you. Its not others who are living your life, its you.
Ridley. – A lot of people have already talked about the hax, but it is what it is, and you took it all like a pro. It would have been cool if you had ended with a positive record, but you played great. It’s a game and you handled it professionally. I didn’t talk with you much in pms, but what you did in our chat was amazing. The first week, you helped everybody get to where they needed to be in our roster and always stayed a leader (thanks for benching me that week btw ;)).
SocialSocialSocial – Another God, this time at doubles. I see you in the CAP room sometimes now, and I’m pretty sure if I play you in this upcoming CAP dubs tour I’ll have a bad time (a very bad time). He puts the W second after the experience, but keeps the atmosphere competitive so we all play our best. He motivates us to succeed. He helps us to test. 11/10 would play on your team again if you draft me next year. I had some of the best time on PS I’ve ever had during this MPL because not only did we have a good chance to win, but we had a team who was willing to talk, communicate, and perform at a high level. And most of all, we were all super cool and nice and I got along with everybody. There was nothing else I could ask for.

Omega-Xis- The OG of MPL. Like, there are not enough words to describe how good of a manager Omega has been. He’s always there for his players. He makes sure everyone plays. He puts the W second after the experience, but keeps the atmosphere competitive so we all play our best. He motivates us to succeed. He helps us to test. 11/10 would play on your team again if you draft me next year. I had some of the best time on PS I’ve ever had during this MPL because not only did we have a good chance to win, but we had a team who was willing to talk, communicate, and perform at a high level. And most of all, we were all super cool and nice and I got along with everybody. There was nothing else I could ask for.

Not going to do individual shoutouts because thats not really my forte, and I wouldn't really be able to say much more than what was already said. That being said, shoutout to all of the memers for making this mpl a great experience! I had a great time and hopefully the next set of games will breathe some life into this meta that is oh so stale. Can't wait until next year!
