Alright I think this claim is a bit suspicious and is worth looking at more:
You can find Krakatoa here. Note that this was Aura Guardian's role name in a previous Yeti game. The role wasn't a hooker back then.

But then Look here. Krakatoa is a built-in mole PM which is in fact a hooker with precisely the flavor Walrein says he got last night. Indeed, as I recall, that very same role was used on Walrein in MagMafia as well in an attempt to demonstrate it's flavor.

In other words, I think it's just as likely that AG is a mole role as that he is a villager, because all of these coincidences strike me as being pretty unlikely.

Not going to vote him or support a lynch on him today because Hooker is a power role and Krakatoa could conceivably be in this game. But I don't think I trust him enough to claim either, and I'd encourage others to be skeptical as well.
 
i don't think him having had the role before really counts for or against him, given that we know that he (or conceivably his teammate, if he's scum) definitely has volcanic hooker flavor. Whether or not it's a village Krakatoa or some other, more malevolent volcano remains to be seen.

nice, start a wagon on me while im asleep and only a few hours before deadline. I'm fine with random lynching but not me obviously. We don't really have anything to go off of other than this aura guardian claim, even though the flavor is wishy-washy, i'm not willing to lynch someone who claims village hooker without a counterclaim. If we're NOCing it, I'd be fine putting pressure back on Lightwolf since he didnt really say anything before when there were votes on him.

Yeti is it possible to get an extension, its pretty annoying to wake up to a bandwagon on me and only have a few hours to stop it.
 
From your perspective that's true Walrein, but from anyone else's you've had this flavor used on you by this precise fake role before. In other words, the fact that it was used on you makes your testimony about it a little less believable than it otherwise would've been.

That being said in the realm of AG being not village possibilities, it is way more likely to be a mole role than a Walrein scum team plan.

Also I don't like zorbees' post. No opinions on the bandwagoners? Nothing other than 'let's rand lunch someone who isn't me'?

to the extent that lynching someone randomly (because that's who random.org told me to vote, because it's funny/a joke) is about as helpful as a no lynch unless we hit mafia

i would rather vote a person where theres an actual basis to vote them on or at least a vote that somehow facilitates progress in organizing the village
 
if it makes you feel better sam i can 100% guarantee you that i didn't remember that fake being used on me before, given that the game in question was legitimately like 4 years ago

The player list was RNGED and dropped onto the sheet so it's entirely possible to have been randomly assigned a role you played as previously. Or to have gotten a role you've never been. I wouldn't read anything into a role name/player connection.

I can extend the deadline if people want to 8pm when I will get home?
 
i said i would like pressure back on lightwolf, i dont really have opinions on the bandwagoners because like i havent played mafia with blazade or maleovex, and jalmont is always hard for me to read, particularly in a noc situation. galewing is maybe the most suspicious of the bandwagoners for that reason i guess but idk i dont have much experience with him either

honestly, NOCing it wont work unless yeti gives an extension, i dont really know what we're trying to do with this.

im starting to change my mind, statistically i feel like randoming is probably the right plan but we're never all going to agree on who to random and i feel like theres a high probability of it failing if we dont have the time to fully NOC.
 
Trying to play this like a NOC is very much a mistake given that we have a gift in outside communication. If people aren't talking to each other already privately then well...

If people were down I'd be totally up for playing this with some weird strategy like everyone mass claims and people collectively decide on actions, but obviously that's probably not a win-maximizing decision.

I will just say I don't like how AG immediately claimed and then PM'd me asking for a role claim/name.

This is correct. The mafias don't use previous role names. The VILLAGE does. But obviously they can fake claim.

Also Krakatoa has been in several games. I've been c/ping the KABOOM flavor Snype wrote in its first game for years lmao. I think it was a village twin with Mt Vesuvius in that game? But I don't remember perfectly. And obviously cncnd if it's in this one or what faction. IF IT HAS ONE.

We're low on time, and SOMEONE had to step up and get us organized as fast as possible, given how much time everyone wasted during the trolling session.

FINALLY: AT LEAST CLAIM YOUR ROLE NAME, SO I HAVE SOMETHING TO HOLD YOU TO. GIVEN HOW ROLE NAMES ARE EASILY ABLE TO HAVE DIFFERENT ABILITIES THAN IN PREVIOUS GAMES, THIS ONLY GIVES ME SOMETHING TO HOLD YOU TO. THIS GOES ESPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO MY CLAIM REQUESTS, OR HAVE REFUSED ALL CLAIMING.
 
Lol yeah they first appeared on the village in MAGMAfia the original. Vesuvius died first then

Paperblade / Krakatoa / Tracker Twin&Alliance Check / Magmians / Drowned in Snype's urine N6

Rough death. But again Krakatoa has had so many roles who's to say if I would have reused one or assigned a new, if it's in the game.
 
Actually maybe we should have started the discussion by saying what sort of roles we would want to lead/would find trustworthy. personally i would rather work off that than this role name business, although maybe it's too late for that lol. anyways, we have no way of knowing if the mafias are role names from past games (which, why wouldn't they be?)

the problem with hooker is that it swings both ways (it's also primarily more a mafia role imo). i guess we can go with role names but how does that help us exactly?
 
With 2 mafia and almost certainly role heavy I'd put us on exactly one village hooker. I'd rather prioritize role proof than role type at the moment.

Role name speculation in this game's flavor is pretty garbage though
 
All right, I just checked all the claims I got, and was ... surprised.

Walrein claimed "The Black X-Man". I did a forum search for that (in quotes), and found... ONE post with that. It was a FAKE CLAIM (as a DESCRIPTION for Storm) by Ditto in a previous game. I also searched for "Storm" but yeti has NEVER posted the character name "Storm" in Circus.

Walrein, explain yourself, please.
