Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-383312687
Drain Punch Darkrai, alongside Dream Eater. Gotta stay healthy.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-383313063
Heracross using Megahorn on Shedinja. Twice. Also, Rock Tomb on a webs team. Gotta go fast.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-383313690
Fiery Dance and Fire Blast on the same Volcarona seems a bit excessive, don't you think?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-383311794
Lugia does its best CritDra impression, only to lose when Psycho Boost misses. Also, Aerodactyl's Eject Button is triggered, ironically, by Magma Storm.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-383317857
Someone brought a (mostly) standard team to BH. That, unsurprisingly, did not go well.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-383320622
This one needs no explanation.

Turn 3 + 4: Volcanion is up against Happiny. It then proceeds to WATER PULSE it.

Turn 8 + 9: Zebstrika (which is already a bit weird) goes for Overheat, and we find out is was not contrary. Followed by Flame Charge.

Try and spot what's wrong here.

Turn 3
Hypno used Hypnosis!
The opposing Empoleon fell asleep!

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-383799326

Left:
  • Swampert Mega Evolves first turn
  • Darkrai uses Toxic on Mega Lucario
Right:
  • Has a Scizor AND a Mega Scizor
  • Mega Scizor has Air Slash and Acrobatics (it's also holding an item)
  • Brick Break/Levitate Mega Gengar
  • Mega Char Y has Body Slam and Ancient Power
  • Mega Char X also has Ancient Power

Shuckle stall war. Just watch the chat.

EDIT: I found something on the ladder that really confused me. There was a Shedinja that did not have 1 HP. I know it sounds really crazy but I used Toxic on it and it took off 6% like Toxic usually does. It then Shell Smashed, restored its defenses with its White Herb, then killed all of my Blisseys with Drain Punch. So here's the question: WHAT WAS THAT SHEDINJA???

(Also my Blisseys did not transform into it with Imposter if that helps)

It was an illusion, obviously. The most likely scenario was Slaking or Regigigas impersonating it. The silly thing is probably you, for not Fake Outing the Illusion.

Oh OK. I've actually never seen Illusion in all of my time playing BH (I kind of forgot it was a thing). Gotta hand to the person who came up with that.

Turn 6 wasn't obvious enough for Charizard X to realize that it was an Unaware Quagsire; it still boosted in front of Sire. There's more in this one.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-383838021
Sucker Punch Gengar (#DarkIsNotGhost #Offstat) really helped left here, though TechniLoom would've picked off Alakazam at 33% with Mach Punch (if it was not a Poison Heal variant).

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-383838070
This needs a list.
  • (R) Smeargle uses Belly Drum and passes its boosts to Mewtwo. The X variant, please...
  • (L) Meanwhile, Gallade uses Brick Break when it can learn Close Combat and Drain Punch.
  • (L&R) The Mewtwo receiving the Attack boosts turned out to be the Y variant, even using Shadow Ball on Gallade before falling to Night Slash. (Knock Off at least removes items, but the crit helped Gallade)
  • (R) Dragon Claw Fairyceus, why? (at least it hits Poison-types, but it's redundant with Judgment)
  • (R) Xerneas revenges Weavile with Close Combat when Moonblast would have been enough without lowering its defenses. Worse:
Weavile is hurt by the opposing Xerneas's Rocky Helmet!
(Next turn)
The opposing Xerneas used Geomancy!
The opposing Xerneas is absorbing power!
  • (L) Instead of saccing Togekiss for a last-minute Sash Dragonite sweep, it loses the Sash while trying to preserve the weakened fairy. The team crumbles to Rayquaza afterwards.

Monobird vs a mediocre team.

(R) It's difficult to tell if this Kyogre is Scarfed or not. However, it does use Thunder on Wooper, who is, in fact, a Ground-type.
(L) Wooper.
(L) Dynamic Punch Wooper. We get it, it has no arms. Also possible choice-lock, because what else explains trying to punch a Thundurus.
(L) FEAR Magnemite with Zap Cannon, which actually hits on its one use.
(R) Bulk Up Dialga, which, while paralyzed, is still quite threatening on this occasion.
(L) Bidoof.
(L) Power Herb Skull Bash/Last Resort Bidoof...for all of 5% and 6%, respectively. Dragon Claw, neutral after the Skull Bash boost, is still a clean 2HKO.
(L) Sand Veil Double Team/Mud-Slap/Sandstorm Stunfisk, which actually forces Dialga out. It drops only after Lugia somehow lands a Toxic.
(R) Outrage/Close Combat Xerneas.
(L) Togetic.
(L) Ominous Wind/Ancient Power Togetic. Yes, it gets the boost. Three of them, in fact.
(R) Dialga using Dragon Claw on said Togetic, who is, in fact, a Fairy-type.
(R) Timer ragequit.

KARP

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-384470218

I do not know what this battle is apart from downright stupid.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-384462854

I do not know what this is either.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-384438195

I've given up trying to understand this one.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384596155

★bluesthepilot: "In my ideal nation, there would exist no one as weak as you!"
Then they forfeit.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384590563

I would say this was stupid, but it was more than that. Right uses a crap team, and wins.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384551339

I'll give a lot of money to anyone who watches this whole replay.

And that's it. Today was a great day for stupid battles lol.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384835338
Palpitoad, Yanma, Ambipom, Magician Delphox, Fraxure... at least White Herb MRay is useful. Kind of.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384836642
Johto starters and legendary beasts on right, with Suicune using Scald while PDon is out.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384833630
Special Zard-X, non-mega Pidgeot with Secret Power, and a rather comical Swalot vs. Ferrothorn matchup, which the Swalot actually manages to win.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384833468
Return Leftovers Greninja (at least it was Protean), Earth Power Aerodactyl, and Hoopa-U using Hyperspace Fury on Azumarill and then surviving the Play Rough.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384832632
I really don't know what to say about this one. I will say, though, that using Psychic moves on Jirachi will get you nowhere.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-384836007
Flamethrower+Blaze Kick Burn Drive Genesect vs. FEAR Pineco.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384832292
Somebody tell lefty that this is not Monotype. Or DPP.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384833410
Lone Bidoof gets a win, albeit against a very bad team.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-384835818
How to stop BP: BH edition.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384832800
Another player needs to learn that AG is not Monotype. He also needs to learn that you can't paralyze Electric mons anymore. Left, for his part, has Eruption+Blast Burn Typhlosion and Double Team+Dig+Iron Tail Raichu.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384841929
AG is not OU, either.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-384840435
Now an actual Monotype battle, where Chansey walls an Electric team with no physical attackers, dodging several Focus Blasts in the process. And even the ones that did hit didn't do much.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384840404
Non-mega Ampharos, Pressure Bisharp, and Water Gun Mega Blastoise.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384841981
Hitmons vs. shitmons. The shitmons got very lucky.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-384845036
Sableye sets up on a bad Heracross.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-384846298
Despite getting paralyzed, Carracosta sweeps a bad team, which included all three members of the Pichu family.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-384850849
★Pkmnkop: Really Niger
★Mewforty: Yup
★Mewforty: I wish the had troll face emoji con
★Mewforty: Well I only have two with sturdy other are focus band

The first and last quotes should tell you everything
I certainly hope they meant Focus Sash... Knowing the quality of the ladder at that level, however, I doubt it.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-384865293
★abipolarpenguin:how did you duplicate the mewtwos
Left's team only features a Scrafty that, judging by what's seen here, only has Detect. Not even Protect (which is outclassed in BH by Spiky Shield), Detect.

also, good to see someone else using the best gimmick ever AKA Beat Up Mega Tyranitar + 5 Mega Mewtwo Xs
