About the move Memento; when you faint and your opponent's attack and special attack get lowered, does the pokemon you bring in afterwards take the attack, or does the oppenent get the "but there was no target" message when they launch their attack?

I can't decide if this is a keeper. Is this Gible good enough?

Gible - #443 (Jolly)
HP: 22
Att: 31
Def: 23
SpA: 30
SpD: 29
Speed: 31

For an Adamant, Outrageous, RevengeScarfing Garchomp, how important is the Def stat/IV?

(If you were wondering it's because I just bred a Gible with 3-9 Defense but everything else flawless :( )

Will people on this site kill me for using fast hatch and iv checking codes while breeding >>

(I know im condemning myself by asking if you say its wrong, but the IV check code is really helpful when you don't have a computer nearby. I could stop using the hatch code if people really hated it, though.)

Not really as it doesn't affect legitimacy (as far as I know). I believe there is someone else that uses the fast hatch code in fact.

Anyone for my question?

Thanks. I forgot to say that I also want a general consensus, so I can see overall.

And for your question, I don't know about the particular mon you are breeding, but I feel that 5 flawless is generally good. Feel free to wait for more answers though.

Conquistador: I don't think defense is too important for a Scarfchomp. If it's quad-perfect, I would keep it, or at the very least keep it on the side.

imlostnthought: I personally do not mind if people use the quick hatch and IV checking codes. As long as the pokemon that you're trying to trade are still legitimate otherwise, it's fine.

Can anyone tell what an Ambipom's Technition Double hit's power equates to? Exactly, with the equasion. I think it's like 35 x 1.5 (stab) x 1.5 (stab) x 2 for each hit, idk?

I got 105 each hit with 35 base. x 2 (technitian) x 1.5 (stab)

I thought Technician only adds 50% power, which would make it:

35 x 1.5 (ability) x 1.5 (STAB) = 78 per hit, assuming fractions get rounded down before the next multiplier, which I'm pretty sure I've read on this site.

EDIT: That answer wasn't there when I started typing this!

When soft resetting for eggs, is the species of the baby set when the egg is generated (Nidorans, Illumise/Volbeat) ? I'm getting down to the final few IVs for my Nidoking, and it would suck if the right IVs were wasted on the wrong Nidoran. I would assume so, but just making sure.

Yes

Ok, here is a simple question=P. I want the three starters from gold and silver, but I don't want to buy PokemonXD for the gamecube. Does anyone know how to get them besides hacking?
