What is a good EV Spread for a Modest Milotic? I want it to be defensive and kill Garchomp, Salamence, Dragonite, and Gyarados. It has HP: Electric 64.

Here is what I have personally;

224HP/184Def/32Sp.Atk/68Speed

224HP hits 384 for leftovers recovery. 32Sp.Atk hits 268 so it can OHKO Garchomp in case it has a few more HP EVs. 68Speed lets it reach 208 which outruns the standard agiligross and some Tyranitar, and then the rest into Defense.

Of course, if you're not worried about outrunning those things, you can toss the Speed EVs into Def. All of these EVs are based off of the IVs on my own Milotic, which is what I think you have.

I'm starting again on my Pearl version. Can someone suggest a team for me to beat the Elite Four with? I can do trades with my cousin who has Diamond and I can also transfer from LeafGreen. I want good Pokemon that can battle competitively, but are easy to find and train too.

A whole team of 6, sorry, since I'm going to be battling my friends and stuff.
From the top of my head, you have Bug E4, Ground E4, Fire E4, Psychic E4, Champion

Infernape (Bug, parts of Champ)
Floatzel (Ground, Fire, Psychic, parts of champ)
Staraptor (HM Slave, Bug, parts of Champion)
Roserade (Ground, parts of Champ)
Ambipom (general)
HM Slave/Garchomp (Fire, Psychic, parts of Champ)

Would be a good ingame team.

Competitive teams tend to differ from In-game teams, if only because you can beat the game with just a pair of sweepers, but you need walls to compete (effectively) competitively. I suppose in theory, you could build a 5 poke team and have one HM whore to cover the HMs you don't want to be using as attacks (ie, everything save surf/waterfall and debatably strength/fly for in game use)

So you could run something along the lines of
Infernape
Starraptor w/ fly
Gyarados w/ Waterfall/Strength
Salamence (or any other random OU poke)
Metagross (or any other random OU poke)
Bibarel w/ cut/surf/rocksmash/rock climb

That gives you a fairly minimal transition from in game team to competitive, although you'll probably not want to use that team. Well definitely not bibarel. :P

What happens if you lose to Dialga/Palkia? Does it work like Uxie and Azelf? Is it set? Does it vanish? Can I get a quick answer, my sister's getting owned by Dialga right now and is considering using her Master Ball and forgot to save before fighting it.

I've a little problem: I traded a trace porygon (hatched in emerald) to evolve into porygon 2, but evolving it changed its ability into download! Now the question is: does trace always change into download when evolving or is just a question of luck? I need an adaptability porygon z not a download one.

Trace can change into Download if it's a Porygon imported from the 3rd generation. If it's caught in Diamond or Pearl, then its ability won't randomly change.

Thanks Allosteric, just another question: evolving the imported porygon 2 into porygon z is there any chance that it changes again its ability (from download to adaptability)? trace-->download-->adaptability?

Disregard my asking for a quick answer, she lost to it, trekked all the way up that mountain again, it was still there. However, she forgot to save AGAIN, so I don't know if it got its stats recalculated and she accidentally killed it then turned off. I'd still like to know just what happens though.

If I use a Cresselia with a set like
Charge Beam
Moonlight
Ice Beam

What's a good third attacking move: Grass Knot, Shadow Ball, or Psychic? What generally works best?

Forget Moonlight, unless you play in an environment where Tyranitar, Hippowdon, and Abomasnow are all banned and PP is infinite. Use Rest/Sleep Talk.

But Grass knot would be a good option for the last moveslot should you still want to use Moonlight. It hurts Tyranitar and Rhyperior. Psychic will hit Hera, and Shadow Ball... I guess Dusknoir and crap like that.

I think I'm going to go with Grass Knot, Charge Beam, and Ice Beam along with moonlight for best coverage. Charge beam gets Gyrados, Grass Knot Tyannitar, and Ice Beam slays Garchomp. Another question, are two icebeamers overkill? as I'm also planning to use Milotic on my team and since that knows Ice Beam, maybe I should give Cress Shadow Ball....

It depends on the rest of your team and how prepared it is to deal with Mence, chomp, and co.

so can i "trade" pokemon breed in my emerald and fr versions to d/p with the same ivs/evs?

sorry if this is a nooby question

*pokes your username*

The Pokemon you send to D/P will NOT change WHATSOEVER. (Caps for emphasis, not shouting. xD) All your IV's/EV's, its held item, and even PokeRus remain the same.

What would you look for in any Rayquaza (I just got Naive 13 - 14 / 5 / 10 - 11 / 28 / 10 - 11 / 30 - 31, don't really know whether to reset or not)?
