I think it's possible with Timid, but it isn't guaranteed.

How are IV's factored into stats specifically? I thought they were only determining on Hidden Power, but I think I'm wrong. I.E. My newly breed chimchar has 31 SATT/31 ATT/31 Speed, but 12 HP and like 2x/2x def/spdef

I don't know quite what you're asking there, but if those x's mean its defenses are in the 20's, I'd like that pyromonkey. As in it's nice, not as in I'm asking for it. Unless... :naughty:
Well do the IV's play any other role then how fast they gain EVs and the hidden power type/damage?
And just so you know, I breed using a hacked ditto. Though the other parent is a legit naive infernape. And I also use pokesav to reset faster as well as hatch faster. Other then that, if you would like it, just let me know.
IV's don't have any effect on EVs, they affect the stats of a Pokemon. For example, a modest Mewtwo with a 31 IV and 252 EV's in Sp.Atk at Lv 100 have a Sp.Atk of 449. If it had a 0 IV but otherwise the same, it would have (checks Serebii's IV calculator, it can work backwards like this) 413. You got the hidden power bit right.

I would get a legit ditto if I could chain properly. I always mess it up because I'm too eager.
What does chaining properly have to do with getting six 31's?
I meant getting a ditto that was say, 31 in sp attk. or 31 in speed, etc, etc. I gave up chaining them awhile ago and just went on GTS to find a ditto that had 31 spatt/31 att and instead got a 6 31 ditto :X
I have a Jolly Ditto with 31's in Sp.Atk and Speed. You could borrow it, clone it and return the original to me. You've stated you have Pokesav. You can clone using that, can't you? Without corrupting my Ditto?
If we can setup a time and date to meet up, I'll gladly clone it and then start breeding it.

What would you want from Diamond? I don't trade hacks unless specifically asked for one. Though I'd also be happy to breed you an ideal chimchar (using a legit parent) if you'd like, just name the natures/IV's you'd prefer. I also have each of the starting pokemon that I can breed for you, though those would take more time as I didn't really reset for natures for those. Pokesav helps immensely on multiple/fast breeding. And I can breed you most pokemon, the only thing I have is a hacked ditto to breed and a hacked battle team for fighting perfect stat/iv battles. Though if you want a pokemon bred from pearl, I can't do that since I don't have anybody that has pearl near me and I hardly trade :(
And to stay on topic, the math involved in teh IV calculations, I have heard that as long as you say in say the 20-30 range, the damage difference is miniscule. But is it large enough to determine between a OHKO vs a 2HKO?
There's nothing from Diamond I want that I can't scab off of my little sister. Have you managed to get any event guys legit? I can't get Mew, Celebi or Deoxys.
Nope =/ I don't trust GTS and NY is way too far for me to travel to :( The Toy's R Us here didn't even offer the manaphy event. QQ.
Does anybody know if we'll EVER get a US darkrai? Seems UK/Japan gets all the fun events.
Also stop whining about events:P Norway only get Mew...(and i dont even live close to a place where they have events, yay me...)
