So I've this nice Piplup and it's defences are so-so with a prefect Special attack and speed. Should i make it sweeperesque or defensive.

"You still get the x2 to all gained EVs, but you can't spread to other party members anymore."
This was a reply from one player to another. Is this true, I was told that the smile was just there to show that he at one point had pokerus. And that once he lost it, the x2 ev gaining was over. So which is it...

It still has pokerus, it's just no longer "infectious". You have the EV gain bonus still, you just can't spread it to the rest of your pokes with that particular pokemon.

although, with the box trick, there's no reason to not have at least one infectious pokemon if you've had the 'rus previously.

Just to be sure, is there at least 1% chance that cloning in GTS can erase your data?
I cloned few stuff there and nothing happenned, but I'm afraid if something can.

I'm quite sure that the GTS cloning glitch is harmless. I mean, the whole process revolves around actually corrupting (!) your Save Data and using the backup save to get the clone. If you do it right, you actually screw your save file. But nothing bad happens... So why would do it wrong actually screw you for good?

okay i'm breeding pokemon in emerald and then importing them to pearl. my next project was going to be a ryhperior with some elemental punches. if i breed a ryhdon with rock head and then import it into d/p and evolve it, the trait should change to solid rock correct? (cloning is just so much easier in emerald...)

I've been looking on serebii's eggmove compatibility thing for a while now and I can't seem to find out how to get knockoff and rapid spin on armalldo. Is the combo even legal? Please, only awnser this Question If you know how to pass down egg moves as I don't want a n00b telling me "Teh female know RS and the male knows knock off, you got you a rapid spin and knockoff one"

No, it isn't possible. And heh, Armaldo is weak to Stealth Rock and non-immune to Spikes anyway, you're better with just Knock Off.

Do the berries you plant disappears after a while? i didnt play D/P in 1month and now theyre all gone:( maybe its because of the GTS cloning glitch i tried out some days ago but i doubt... help!

Also my old question: what is the difference between japanese-american version of the game other than the language? is it a difference between American and EU version?

Can level 100 Pokemon gain EVs through battling in D/P? Or are level 100s pretty much screwed when it comes to EV modification aside from EV reducing berries and vitamins (as it was in ADV)?

Yeah, its was a lot of posts ago, but actually there IS a way to EV train pokes at lvl 100. Just EV-train it as you normally would. To get the stats to change, though, you must put the pokemon in the PC box. And take it out. And put it in. And take it out. And put it in. And take it out. And put it in.
You have to put it in and take it out for EVERY FOUR EVS. Thats 1 time for each stat point, or 126 times. This is because the game recalculates the stats when you take it out of the box, but only 1 point at a time.
I wouldn't do this, though. I would just rebreed and EV train the new pokemon.

Andeby: The berries do dissapear. However, there is a chance that the fallen berries will regrow into trees again.

there's a discussion in the analysis for Starmie about whether to use Timid or Modest on the Specs set. i want to know what OU pokes would you not be able to OHKO with Timid, that you would have been able to OHKO with Modest?

Between the Japanese and the American versions of the game are several small differences in how moves work. For example, in Japanese D/P, if your Pokemon had a Choice Band, used Pursuit, and the opponent switched, you could pick your next move, but in the American version you can't do that. When Japanese and American versions are linked up and battle, the American settings override.
