I thought AccelRock was a decent name until I heard this. Thanks for making me probably extremely disappointed when we hear about it.
I apologize if I missed it in this thread, but there's some tidbits here:

1) Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are not just different versions, but different dimensions.
2) Lugarugan Midday Form is said to be "too fast to follow", maybe hinting that it has a high Speed, but then again, Escavalier flies around at "high speed" despite 20 base Speed, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I need a second source to believe this. Because the use of dimension on Pokemon could mean a lot of things for lore-keepers :P

Double STAB priority Kabutops! Aqua Jet + AccelRock :O :O Or Carracosta, I suppose... I'm desperately trying to think of everything that has double STAB priority without abilities, can't think of much besides MLopunny and Dewgong. Gosh, I hope it's not (or at least not going to remain) a signature move.
I suppose since Night form's shown move was "counter", then if there's an even distribution (we know that the change isn't purely visual if there's movepool differences) then either Night form has its own signature move to be revealed later, or AccelRock simply isn't a signature move.

Lucario also has Vacuum Wave and Bullet Punch but oddly not Mach Punch (Why does a fast punch move have such a scarce distribution?)
in case anyone was curious, i switched Quick Attack's type to rock and changed Abomasnow's typing to include Rock and ran this vs OU Bulky Talon. (Aboma has base 92 attack)
So Day Wolf definitely has an opportunity to be a check to Talonflame, just needs to Outspeed and have at least 90 base attack or so.

I can see Day Wolf doing one or the other, but I can't see it doing both unfortunately
I don't know about that. Funcom does that all the time. Their game "The Secret World" is practically just a collection of those kinds of references and word play

These are in spinoffs so not sure how much they count, but they're all enemies that can be encountered and fought but are still canonically not pokemon. Dark Rust and Dark Matter even speak with the player, implying they can think for themselves.

I knew the origin. But that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that this trademark exists.
In that case, could we add stuff like Primal Dialga considering we can never get that Dialga form as a playable character.
I just want to say if Rock priority gets any decent distribution, we will NEED a nerf on SR ASAP. Any pokemon 4x weak to it is dead on arrival, and those 2x weak will also be in an uncomfortable position. I dont even want to think about adding spikes in on top of that....ouch.
Which is why i had said check. At 90 it is a clean 2hko on +1 bulky Talon, with 110 having a 6% chance to pick up the KO. Meanwhile Burn will make it a 2HKO in the best case scenario for both base attacks.
If i gets Adaptability or, even better, Technician, then Burning the DayWolf would be the only way to keep Talon from being OHKO'd by Rock Priority Move since it has an 80% or 100% chance to OHKO depending on the ability at 90 base attack.
So theoretically it can check Talonflame pretty good. We will need to see the stats and ability to determine how well it can.
Speaking of, for a possible name i would suggest Rock Rush for the alliteration... And only for the alliteration.
So that means SRocks, spikes, Tspikes and then Priority Rock type move I guess that means Volcarona gets an Alolan form called Volcagonner, Ability (RIP= rest in pebbles.)
Jokes aside I hope that the information we get tomorrow is about the Lugarugan types and abilities because usually CoroCoro does show it like with mymikyu but this time it didn't.
I am not really sure what I think about those wolves yet, but I read that you guys are expecting news to drop tomorrow. Is that right? What kind of news? Like a new video or something?
We're getting official news at 9 am EST, s usual for the past few months.
