Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKII

New video was uploaded on english youtube channel. It didn't reveal anything new just that ub2 expansion is called ub2 absorption in english

Nothing much, but nice to see the Ultra Beasts in action.
So were the Ultra Beasts going to attack Hala before Tapu Koko intervened?
As for the name change, I'm wondering if UB-02 Absorption has a, well, absorption gimmick (which would make sense with its design thinking about it).

So the screenshots and video have me wondering about what roles the UBs and island guardians are gonna have in the games. At the moment, I do think the ultra beasts are an antagonistic force (alternatively they're "not evil, just misunderstood"), wreaking havoc. The guardians try to fight them off, possibly failing. That's when you have to get Solgaleo and Lunala to try to do something.

I know we've all somewhat written off the early rumors about synchro-evolution, but with the UBs looking so much like in game characters does anyone see them as a potential synchro like mechanic?

UB-02-Expansion looks like...? (Gladion, as has been bough up before, is even more of a stretch than Colress appearing in the game.)

...and now that I wasn't expecting a trailer, they release one, lol.

I'm glad we got it and am not even mad it didn't show anything new for some reason. Though, that also means I still don't know what to think about the UB's since we still know so little about them.

And I sure hope it stays that way. News are nice and all but I do not want main plot points spoiled before the games are even released. Imo we've had enough info about the UBs: they're mysterious, threatning and seem to be a main antagonistic force. I'd rather find out what they actually are, where they come from and what their true objective is whilst playing the game. So yeah, I'd appreciate if they were really lowkey about it, like they've been so far.

According to the English video, UB-02E's official name is UB-02 Absorption*. Guess the Hong Kong name wasn't far fetched.

*: Did I write it correctly?.

EDIT: By the way, did anyone notice UB-02 is fighting Hala?

So there's a broken bridge in Moon that is suspiciously absent from Sun. Looks like version differences extend to scenery and landmarks again, much like in Black and White. I guess it's not that surprising considering how many other major differences they've already revealed.

With the midday wolf and freaking sexy buff Cell's final form man, I think GameFreak is planting in our minds to get Pokemon Sun.

What? So they promised us news but then turned out to be 3.5 hours late?
Come on, Pokemon USA staff, take us seriously! Respect us!

Why the hell is Expansion renamed to Absorption? Expansion is already in English!
Because of boob expansion? Or what?

Maybe there is an UB03-DLC? :P
It took me a moment to realize you weren't following up and referencing a common anime trope. ('Sides, that one is probably UB01)

Lol guys... the German name for UB02 Absorption is UB02 Expander. Seems like only English has randomly changed the name.
It was first shown on the Hong Kong website, so maybe not? Although it wouldn't be the first time. (People who know what an Ananas is know what i mean.)

Looking at those screenshots with Tapu Koko, Hala, and the respective Ultra Beasts, it seems that Hala has befriended the Guardian Deity, considering that it fights alongside the Kahuna without the control of a Poké Ball. Are the Island Kahunas powerful enough to befriend at least the "weaker" Legendaries, such as Tapu Koko and the other three?

I hope so. It'd be nice to see the Kahunas take an active role in the game and actually do things. I was so disappointed that the gym leaders in XY were just...there. Compared to the BW leaders, they were a step back. It'd be nice to actually see the Kahunas doing things like actively helping the player and whatnot.

It could be that they are tied to the position of Island Kahuna, either by respecting the position or picking the Kahuna.

The Island Guardians may have had a history with the Ultra Beasts... Maybe they, along with Solgaleo/Lunala, sealed them away? (Getting into MTG territory there.)
