Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKII

-There are pokemon we haven't seen yet, as well as Alolan forms (we might be at 100+ pokemon easily)
The fact they saw unrevealed Pokemon this early in the game is really reassuring. If you don't recall, the first unrevealed Pokemon we could catch in XY was Binacle on Route 8 and even then, some people missed it because it required Rock Smash, so the first one for some people was Hawlucha on Route 10.

Edit: Also, I'm sad the Dexnav is gone since I'm a shiny hunter, but I wasn't surprised to see go. It just felt like one of those one game features that probably won't return. Though, as long as they have added some equally good new way to hunt for shinies, I'll be just fine.

Counting Megas, we had how many pokemon in that game that were new around 100 right? Yea, I have a feeling this dex is going to be in the 120s

Zoomed in picture of Gladion on corocoro, looks like 3 discs, and not the singular object I (and a few others) thought.

Dunno if it has been mentioned here before or if someone made their own list, but here's a list of the 272 Pokemon seen in Sun/Moon stuff so far.

Someone did note that 21/272 Pokemon were from Sinnoh, which some are taking as an indication that remakes are coming since they had few kanto pokemon in RS, few Johto Pokemon in DPPlat, and few Hoenn Pokemon in XY, apparently.

Oh that's a much better picture... I would say that those are probably the memories then. It looks like maybe blue, green, and yellow while the arrow pointing down to Silvadi is highlighting the different coloration. So that would mean they are individual items, or does it appear to be one item? Still a little hard to tell.

Doing a bit of counting, but so far, if we discount the (pre-)evolution of previous gen Pokemon, then they actually only have... 11 Pokemon native to Sinnoh in that list. Then again, Sinnoh did not have many new (meaning unrelated to previous gens) Pokemon introduced, and a lot of them are legendary Pokemon. But even Kalos, which has the fewest new Pokemon introduced among the past generations, has more representation in that list.

The lack of Sinnoh Pokemon is just another evidence for a DPPt remakes, I suppose. The cosmic theme this gen, the remake release pattern so far, all the Azoth/God/Arceus connection, etc. If they are releasing the remakes within the same amount of time as they released ORAS after XY, next year we'll be discussing Eternal Diamond and Infinite Pearl here. :)

BTW, I remember some people wondering in the last few pages if Gladion will even have a Silvadi or if it will remain a Type: Null. The Corocoro page says something about "foe Pokemon" and "the strongest rival" in that page, so it is highly likely hat you will face Gladion and his Silvadi in-game like a boss battle. Just a bit of clarification here. I wonder what the circumstances of obtaining Type: Null and Silvadi will be for the player character.

What list?

I dunno. Being a dinosaur, they could very well be feathers. But anyways... let's wait until the official announcement to see who's right.

http://www.pokemon-sunmoon.com/en-us/pokemon/jangmo-o/

"Because Jangmo-o uses the scales on its head for both offense and defense, it never turns its back to its enemies. Many Trainers see this behavior and take it as proof that Jangmo-o is a valiant Pokémon."

It's even the "Scaly Pokémon".

And all its description hint as to why it's becoming Dragon/Fighting. (for people not understanding the Fighting part)

Looking through this a bit more closely (also thank you for pointing this list out, its great), there are incredibly few entire lines which we haven't seen anything of. Thats because I'm an idiot.
We see Blastoise in concept artwork, but after that Onix is the first in the list which we haven't seen any member of (there is a Steelix-like boat), then there is maybe Horsea who we haven't seen anything of (apart from the Statue), and after that you jump to Chinchou (who we have only seen in concept art). We see Wobbuffet in concept artwork, no sign of Wynaut. From there we jump all the way to Spheal who is also only shown in the concept artwork. We see a Wailord and Huntail boat, but nothing of their prevos. Cranidos is missing from this list, but his bro Bastiodon is there so I would assume exclusives/all fossils available. The next mon is Lumineon (which probably 0 people care about anyway), then it jumps all the way to Gothitelle, which has a Gothorita T Shirt but nothing else. Haxorus was shown in the battle Royale with Tyranitar, so its hard to say if its native or not. The Gen 6 section is missing a number of Pokemon I think, but that may just be a fault of the author.
Actually, there are a few mistakes in this list (or I am not reading it properly). I am not reading it properly. I am now creating my own list based off of this to show which mons we haven't seen at all.

OKAY:

Try this one (Note I am still editing it). There are some large gaps here and there, but its a direct comparison of the mons we have seen and the ones we haven't. Thank you to the reddit user, apaulieg with the original list (I fucked up reading his spreadsheet bad). This might be a little more readable/Easier to compare what we have/haven't seen.

My total comes to 288 Pokemon that we assume will be in the game currently, with 489 Pokemon we haven't seen at all.

I don't know, just asking. Was it mentioned bank mons cannot be hyper trained or anything? Because we are still SR'ing pokemon to not take a risk.
No. Nothing has been mentioned on the matter.

They just said pokemon can be hyper trained.
If this was for some stupid reason to exclude older pokemon then it would ruin the entire point of it.

Why do I get YuGiOh vibe from this guy's pose now?

... it does look like the discs for Silvadi's "ears" or they can be slotted there. Hmm....

Anyway, now I wonder... if it indeed evolves instead of changing forme, how large would it be again? I recall Null is 1.9m tall, while lord Arceus is 3.2m. When it evolves, will it gain height too or just breaks the helm as the only physical change?

You never know. It's not the first time Gamefreak made evolutions with minor aesthetic changes but sudden change in size. Like Slowpoke, which gains height evolving into Slowbro even though it is supposed to be the same Slowpoke, just with a Shellder on its tail. For Type: Null, even though it's supposed to just break the seal of its mask as its evolution, I won't be surprised if Silvadi suddenly gains a few inches.
