SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Demo Discussion

Can someone check if Thunderbolt's power has returned to 95?

Nuzzle is 100 BP as a Z move so if TBolt is base 95 (175 Z move) then we'll know that z move adds 80 BP to the move

Irrelevant post but seeing wigtrio on that island reminds me of this

Also condolences to Pidgeot on losing the best hair award

"In one part of the demo, you can sometimes find a NPC who is startled by a Pokémon."
I'm in the same spot from the Alolan Dugtrio video, but the NPC isn't there for me, at least. Is there a certain condition that needs to be fulfilled, or na?

It's probably just some RNG factor, so whether or not it shows up is random chance. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to hide in a bunker while the spoiler flood begins.

So Ash-Greninja just has pumped up offenses and a bit of speed that are rendered kinda moot by the lack of Protean? A bit of a shame, but then again it's not like the frog needed to be MORE OP.

Someone already calc'd it earlier in the thread, but A-Greninja actually hits almost (slightly lower) the same on non STAB moves, but it's Water and Dark type attacks hit significantly harder.

So the maintenance on the NA eshop seems to be over but I can't find the sun moon demo anywhere on it. Any idea when it's going to be released on the NA eshop?

GAH, it's been quite a while since I've posted on Smogon, but this datamining info is too interesting for me not to get involved in this discussion!

(No spoilers in this post by the way)

Frankly, what I'm most surprised about is that Game Freak allowed this to happen. Everything from the Hoopa to the Mega Latios/Latias leaks should have proven to them that we are very curious fans with ways to find hidden data. I just thought they would have learned their lesson by this point and taken anything too revealing out.

A simple rule of thumb is that if you don't want people to datamine your game, don't include stuff that's interesting enough to datamine.

So According to GameXplain, People were able to capture a Pikachu and equip the wild one with a Z stone. When used with Nuzzle, Gigavolt Havoc became 100 Base Power and was Physical.

This confirms that the attack stat used for damage calculation correlates to the move being powered up. therefore, Z moves can have a wide range of damage from 100-200+.

It's so weird. I kept hearing praise for how well they scrubbed the demo clean, and then just. "Ah shit, hang on for dear life, leaks incoming!"

What the hell went wrong?
