Sandstorm shits on a reversal sweeper, and any type of residual damage destroys your plan, which is exactly what things like hippo will take advantage of.

Heracross is good, but not good enough with choice. With choice, he's a little big who's fists are like atom bombs, 2hko'ing Forretress, Skarmory, and almost 2hko's hippo, or a little bug that moves like a cheetah and shits on other attackers.

Without a choice thing, it needs SD, not a yucky gimmick, or else it's no better than any other fighter that has Close Combat and is beaten by it's primary counter, gliscor.

I really like using SDcross as a late game sweeper. Scarfcross doesn't really have as much power as I would like it to, and I like being able to switch between attacks for the sweep.
 
I'd be more inclined to Scarf as well, since you can then outspeed a good many of the Pokemon out there and smack them with STABed Megahorn or Close Combat. Reversal is another good option imo, but SS and Hail really ruin your day, as well as the newer priority moves like Vaccum Wave and Bullet Punch. CB is also nice, but it's older and Heracross can't outspeed some of its threats then.
 
I really like Rest-Talk Heracross. Beef up its HP, give it a little spead to beat neutral 'tar a bunch in its defenses and rest in attack then you've got a very bulky physical hitter. Otherwise, I love the Jolly Swords Dancer with a Burn Orb. Really fun.
 
CBcross. Scarfcross is too easily walled and needs to switch in on WoW/Toxic(Spikes) to be able to kill tanks. Skarm walls Scarf, but is 2hkoed by CB, good enough for me. If want a scarfed poke, I'll use Garchomp, who is faster and has a better attack score.
 
Eww Scarfcross is most voted

Me, SePh and a few others I do not remember believe that CBCross is by far superior to Scarf. CB lets you 2HKO Skarmory, Hippowdon, and not get owned by Suicune, while all Scarf does is outspeed Salamence and not really do much else. Plus, if you're paralyzed, Scarfcross is useless unlike CBCross
 
Shouldn't it be Toxic / Flame Orb 'Cross rather than Life Orb 'Cross? You get 1.5 attack rather than 1.3, and protection from T-Wave
 
I prefer SD Cross. Better for an all-out sweep. You could use with a salac berry, and come in on WoWs and Toxic Spikes (make sure that it's the first time that Hera is seen) and then gogogogogogo.
 
yeah what about MoP's Sub + salac + swords dance + swarm + megahorn set from advance?

like 30 hp iv = hp divisible by 4 so not a reversal set = use in ss

I use CBCross.They won't know if your Scarfed or Banded for awhile, and they will probaly not risk it being Scarfed in the begining.
