Let's talk about moves Pokémon should or shouldn't have. This is not necessarily limited to "they should have this so they can be a god in competitive battling", but can include "they should have Splash because they're awesome" or something.

Empoleon should definitely learn Roost. It would make the BL King of Walling act like a Special Skarmory. It wouldn't get the benefits of course (like Flygon).

Gyarados uses Earthquake effectively, but I never knew how a flying dragon could cause them while... flying. And thus not touching the ground.

Don't let this get out of hand.
 
Cool thread idea, but I can see it gettin' flamed :/

I always wondered how a Tyranitar (A lump of rock) could create Ice or Thunder :/
 
Why the hell doesn't Zangoose learn Cut? Just look at it's movepool...scratch, slash, but no cut.

Giratina should learn Roost, afterall it can learn Fly.

And Gyarados doesn't really fly in the anime, so I can see why it could cause Earthquakes, since it's always being destructive.

And if Empoleon learned Roost it'd be kinda messed up since it's supposed to remove the flying type for a turn. Empoleon has no flying type.

But then again, Flygon gets Roost. Is that a flying type? Nah.
 
Entei and Flareon really want Flare Blitz.

Gyarados is almost always flying, why doesnt it get a decent flying move? Thank god though, it doesnt get Brave Brid.

Going back to GSC (ingame) Abra should have never gotten any of the Elemental Punches (TM Then). You could take the whole game with just that.
 
How the hell a shark can create earthquakes(i'm talking about Sharpedo of course)and something like Raichu can't?
Why can't Exploud have Focus Punch?He has arms,right?

Not to mention Scizor.

Empoleon is a penguin, and penguins can't fly. I can see the logic in that. And if Flareon should get Flare Blitz, Jolteon should get Volt Tackle. Also, Metagross gets Rock Slide, Rock Polish, Rock Tomb, but it doesn't get Stone Edge :(
 
Dialga/Cresselia With Slash... i mean seriously... i aslo hate any pokemon who can learn splash as a egg moveXD what a waste!

altaria, flygon, salamence, and dragonite learn it too. maybe they just slam themselves into the ground really hard.


also i dont see how many fighting types get stone edge, but metagross doesnt either. where do they get the sharp rock edges to cut with?

Ambipom... he can learn Fake Out, Pursuit, all these things that are suppose to be quick, so why can't he learn Quick Attack?

More Pokemon needs Compoundeyes, Butterfree owns doing it, but we need someone else too. Deoxys using Me First will be awesome too.

Nature wise, How can there be a Calm Gyarados, Quiet Exploud, Jolly Darkrai (he's totally emo), etc.

Because if he learned quick-attack, then Ambipom can 2-hit KO weavile. >_> Seriously... Ambipom does not need quick attack... lol.
 
Hate to mini-mod, but haven't we had tons of these already?
