New Ability

Queenly Majesty: Its majesty pressures the opposing Pokémon, making it unable to attack using priority moves.
New Move:

Trop Kick: The user lands an intense kick of tropical origins on the target, This also lowers the target's Attack stat. 100% accuracy [Grass] 70 BP, Physical.

That's....not bad at all. Fairly bulky, 120 Atk isn't bad at all.

High Jump kick to hit Steel types, U-Turn to pivot (and you're fairly slow, but SlowTurn is good too), Trop Kick as good STAB, and...Rapid Spin can be nice in the last slot.

I'm surprised it's that strong physically. I was imagining around 95 in physical attack.
But I also imagined 95 in speed.

72 is in the middle of nowhere. Not fast outside TR, not slow enough for inside TR neither.

I think its main selling point is the Queenly Majesty ability.

Queenly Majesty allows this thing to avoid priority Brave Bird, Ice Shard, Sucker Punch and Mach Punch (the latter two are not super effective on this Grass type, but still hurts).

Not bad stat distribution; at least is faster than other base 70s i.e. Bisharp. Trop(ical) Kick, Facade, HJK + filler seems the way to run Tsareena in UU. Queenly Majesty isn't enough to make it OU material.
It is quite bulky (numerically) as an attacker, though. I'm quite impressed.

It gets Rapid Spin, U-Turn, Reflect, Light Screen, Synthesis, and Aromatherapy. That's a ton of good utility combined with coverage between: Trop Kick, Play Rough, and High-Jump Kick. It would really appreciate something like Knock Off or Stone Edge, but honestly, I think it will have niche uses in OU and A TON of uses in VGC!

i like than,120 base attack is good, and with physical grass STAB,this thing can cause some trouble

Talonflame still outspeeds Tsareena by quite a lot, so while it won't be able to hit it with Brave Bird (or rather, Acrobatics, given the Gale Wings nerf), it can still hit her with a Fire attack.

Just curious, why does the Gale Wings nerf mean that Brave Bird will be less common? The nerf affects Acrobatics too. Am I missing something?

Wait, I wonder, does Amaajou/Tsareena's Queenly Majesty affect every priority move or just targeted attacks? I imagine she will be a huge problem in Battle Tower facility if it does.

I'm disappointed by its low Speed, but its a lot bulkier than I expected. Still, Trop Kick only has 70 BP and it has no better options. :/

70 is not terrible, plus it always lowers attack, which thanks to her decent bulk is not bad at all. Would leaf blade be nicer? maybe. But gonna enjoy trop kick.

I honestly expected at least Petal Blizzard. I'm still gonna use it though. Its ability is way too good and it has a lot of good phys. options + self recovery.

Quick question; do we know if Queenly Majesty blocks all priority moves, even stuff like Protect and Counter? Or, does it just protect against moves like Aqua Jet?

Yeah I forgot about Petal Blizzard. That would have been nice, but I think Gamefreak didn't want to make the mistake of having a pokemons signiture move be totally outclassed by another move. This generation seems to be having a lot of pokemon fitting that.

I missed it got Synthesis. Thats great. I am thinking a set like:

Trop Kick
Play Rough
Synthesis
High Jump Kick

I kinda wish I could know the breeding chains, so that I can know if I can even get any of these move combos know, or if I need to wait to pre-bank, which would kinda suck for me getting attached to these pokemon in my initial run of the game

Does this Pokemon have utility as a Bulky Spinner at all? I wish it got Knock Off or Blaze Kick or something. Holding out for really good move tutors at a later point.

I knew my girl Tsareena would come through as a majestic queenly beast!

Ok, so we have decent bulk, a middling Speed stat that will prove advantageous against other bulky Mons more than anything, awesome Attack, and access to:

- High Jump Kick
- Acrobatics
- U-Turn
- Play Rough
- Low Sweep
- Rapid Spin
- Aromatherapy
- Synthesis
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Aromatic Mist (not the best, but decent for Doubles)
- Z-Splash

I. Love. It.

The 72/98/98 bulk of Tsareena is higher than the 70/100/90 bulk of Dhelmise, which does not get Synthesis.

So if you want a bulky Grass spinner with Recovery, Tsareena is the better choice, but if you want a bulky Grass spinner that also acts as a spinblocker and has better STABs, use Dhelmise.

With Trop kick she is basically bulkier on the physical side thanks to 100% attack lowering, and then she just heals off the damage. a Psudo wall on the physical side after a trop kick or 2

She does get a lot of choices. Its hard to choose what 2 moves to bring with Trop kick and Synthesis. Aromatherapy also can be used over Synthesis if one wants a slightly more supporty set.

So what EVs are we theorizing on this Tsar right now? It looks like Synthesis is a must have on Tsareena which gives it a reliable recovery that it's competitor Dhelmise lacks.

I don't know. I mean, Max Speed Adamant /Jolly would be great for dealing with Bisharp and Breloom, but heavy HP investment is so tempting because of its bulk. I think that heavy/max Attack is a safe bet either way, though.
