Strangely, I somewhat enjoyed it, if just a little. I can understand about the need of randomness to "diversify" things to keep sense of completion (although while IV is OK, random moves, not so much). Although then again, while I say there's something more than it, accounting gyms the whole game does boil down to something like managing a spreadsheet of Pokemon and item supply. This is old complain I have, but a core aspect of caring Pokemon is completely gone in the game mechanics, aside of nicknames and buddy (which is just more for extra candies anyway). And everytime I play, it is in the end just "is this Pokemon usable?", "How about my supply?", "best counter for this gym is..." and so on as if I'm managing spreadsheet instead....
At least I have my own goal, like getting perfect Vaporeon just as I did X / AS, putting an Arcanine on a monument near my grandpa's grave (family used to have big dog), and other personal matters.
... well, if you remember your account's credentials (username/email and password), you don't have to start over. But yeah, to go to the same grindfest again... I'm surprised to still stay here myself. At least I think I too need to take a break and focus more in Moon, opening Go only to claim coins.
