Pokémon GO

Finally completed my Kanto dex today, apart from the region exlusives. Finally managed to hatch an Aerodactyl from an egg.

Johto is next.

I recall on these lands it has been recurring joke. GO may have revived it again though. But seriously, part of me desires TPCi to sue them for such insult....

On another note, maybe since last forced update, I think iOS crashes way too much this time. Viewing gym past 3rd person, crash. Viewing another gym, crash. Viewing dex, crash. Heck, Niantic logo, crash. Holy mother of Arceus, can't you stop crashing and eat my internet quota?!

What I note is that it loads so slowly when a player in gym has a lot of bought costumes and causes the crashes, I think. Is this now viable tactic to clutter one's character outfit so other players crash in their appli?

I'll have to look for newer home for my cuties later....

that's why you have no internet quota.. crash away :D, seriously though, only stupid crash is battling gyms, 3/4 through defeating a freaking blissey as well, then the annoying screen you get when it doesn't load properly.

No, I don't think so. I think it has to do with how repetitive and unrewarding the game is. Not to mention the fact that a lot of people who started playing GO weren't even regular Pokemon fans. So most of the playerbase literally followed the hype. Now it's over, they're gone too.

Hmm, good strategy. Pretty pathetic indeed. I am working on having a living dex, and it crashes 1/5 times upon opening it... Heck, after 5 minutes not even all the sprites are loaded.

Has there already been found away to influence the moves you get upon evolving? I'm getting pretty sick and tired of putting so freaking much effort into looking for Pokemon with good IVs, along with saving up all those candies. When I evolve and get that shitty moveset again, I feel like all my time is wasted. That way it's not rewarding at all anymore and makes me (almost) want to give up on it all together.

I
only thing pathetic is is this idiot stoping people using a gym.. clears it out and leaves it empty.. ALL DAY

I actually do this in my campus. I dislike it when gym gets stagnant in my campus so either I clear out rival gyms or I put cute mon on friendly gym. Not all day though, just as long as newbies can enjoy gym spoils too.

I see no problem and would actually endorse this, unless it is bot scripted as I've heard once where it's just pathetic.

... except that we don't want to cheat here. I'd rather we treat cheaters in GO like how WiFi section would treat core game hackers with dubious Pokemon.
Seriously though, please don't encourage cheating apps that will risk banning please.
You all are the blight that destroys the game for the newer players. I already have difficulty thinking how to make the game hospitable for newer player, which can't be done as long as you cheaters exist.

And holy, my Firefox froze for few secs thanks to this post, seriously.

yes but it effects what I can claim for the day, which when you are talking around 8 gyms could make the difference between an incubator or not.

That'll depend on the local metagame. I live in a city with quite number of gyms. Some stagnated, some open. I managed to get some of my 'mon staying long, and so planned to keep the ones that can stay open, stay open, so newbies can also enjoy the spoils. I'd make that gym my last destination for the day if I can for the day's 10 coins extra.

Thinking about it though, that means your rival team and everyone else is also having the same difficulty with coins and incubators (well, save the one who pays, lucky them). Everyone has the same limitation. On the other hand, I have to constantly make 100 coins a day to stay in the centre of metagame thanks to the conducive situation.

they don't though, this is just one isolated gym, a lot of gyms are spread out, for me to get 8-10 gyms I need to cover a lot of distance on foot, (2 hours...) so these "bonus" ones help fill the gaps and save me a lot of effort. a few local gyms are stagnant due to team dominating the area, but those far out ones are library's and shops or high footfall areas.

In an average day (one where I'm not walking the dog, too), I put in around two miles to work three gyms (potential to add in an easy #4, but I'd rather not cross the train tracks if I can help it). One of the gyms is pretty steady for holding defenders, and the other two change hands at the drop of a hat but are close enough to each other that you can usually clear out/place in both of them without getting kicked out before you can grab your shop bonus.

Be fair, some people like you said would spend real money, I'm helping them save it by showing getting and keeping 10 gyms, or 100 coins a day is possible.

Remember, some of these Pokémon like Heracross are region exclusive, so not only can you not finish your pokedex, but you cannot catch some of the good ones based in where you live... you have to consider that this game is very difficult and that's why people hack, hacks are saving the game from many people just quitting. Many people above my post mentioned quitting but maybe this hack makes the game realistic.

. I live in the SF area, so gyms are full of 3K blissey, tyranitar, gyarados, and dragonite. You know with the amount of candy and rarity of these Pokémon that they didn't just happen to run into these Pokémon to get candy naturally to evolve, boost, and collect stardust fairly.

I consider my methods keeping up with what everyone else is doing.

As for bans, I've been doing it hacked for 3.5 months, no bans. Also I'm not telling people they have to do it, just giving them options.

I see my post on the TuTuHelper app was removed, people can YouTube and google it.

Can you imagine trying to level up after level 33? I am at level 33 where it requires 1 million experience to hit level 34! Coins can purchase lucky eggs... thank god I won't have to spend real money.
I'm also Lv33 currently. I am yet to find regional exclusives and that mythical Laplace, but I accept that fate isn't one with me. Yet I can still stay quite relevant with my cute Vaporeon team and still willing to battle for freedom in gyms. Yes, I can destroy max gyms when I want to, even if it is Blissey or the pseudolegends. My Vaporeon always get excited to destroy them.

Besides, once one is lv31, where wild Pokémon reach their maximum encounter level, trainer level don't matter much anymore, except for keeping up with the CP threshold. I take it easy and level up only to keep up my lovely Vaporeons who need higher level, everyone else can do it without that.

Hacks save some people? I see they force people to follow them or be dead unable to keep up, after the effect of widening the gap between the pure players and the cheaters who gains unfair advantage. I really can't agree with this. While there are a lot of pure players, here we got these sinners ruining the flow of the game too. This is not an option, lawlessness is never one to me. Some of my routine is to oppose them each time I go to campus too early.

I shall oppose them and help so that new trainers don't need to resort to cheating that put them at risk of lawlessness. Consider it a holy mission from Arceus, I'll keep the purity of tradition.

the issue I see are those rare pokemon turning up on top of gyms in areas where they do not spawn, Blissey turning up around here in gyms is annoying as Chansey is super rare and the counters to blissey are also rare spawns.. so one Blissey can become a Nightmare. there is however my local mt moon biome occasionally spurting out a fighting type onto the stops on the road... did also find a Donphan tonight :D. only 6 miles away are a bunch of 4 gyms, 2 of which,. at one point, were topped by 2 2900+ T-tars.... where the hell are all these Larvitars?

Is it just me or is it impossible to get Espeon/Umbreon upon evolving Eevee (other than the one-use name trick)? I'm trying to get myself an Espeon with a better moveset, and I just evolved ~20 Eevee without getting a single Espeon or Umbreon. I could also be very unlucky, hence the question.

It needs to be walked with buddy system for 10km first.

So if I understand you right I have to make every of my Eevee my buddy, walk with it for at least 10km, and only then it has a chance to evolve into Espeon or Umbreon? Also, source?
No, just the one you wants to evolve into Esp/Umbreon. Walk it for 10km and then evolve it while it's still your buddy. Then it's guaranteed.
Not walking it or not enough distance gives you the random three Gen1 ones.
Un-buddying after 10km and evolving it gets the random three (kinda like raising affection and then not teaching Eevee a Fairy move to cancel Sylveon).
Silph Road has documented it well and that's how I got my Umbreons too; still walking more of them to build gym training team.

Whoa didn't know this, thank you. So when I walked my Eevee for 10km and evolve it, will it be random whether it becomes Espeon or Umbreon?

gym tips are meaningless you still need to be in a position to hold 10.. I know of 13 maybe 14 in my area.. 2 are in a muddy park... 1 is up a road I have never been 2.. and another one is on as far as the entrance to the park with 4 gyms (1 is the entrance, and the other is a level 9 tower I have something in) and another is always a blue tower within 1 day of being taken... I can't hold and maintain 10 gyms without holding extras on tram routes (1 through finding a space in one...). plus we get idiots with Blisseys and counter movesets sat at the bottom that ruin prestiging... great fun fighting Ice beam Slowbros and Dazzling gleam Blissey with lower CP counters..
