So far my team would be:Sharpedo,Arcanine,Sceptile,Mismagius,Steelix, and Lunatone. That sp.def boost would really help everyone on this team, i think.
Yeah, I think that would help.

If Lunatone can Reflect (not sure), you could give her that and then Light screen on Mismagius if there's a spot.

Marix: Regular poison takes away the same amount of HP each turn. Toxic poison doubles in the amount of HP that is taken away each turn, if that's what you mean.

133tSneasel: I use a modest Milotic and it works well for me. Bold does help it take physical hits, but I find that I can take them just fine with a good EV investment.

Does anyone know a way to look up which pokes have certain attack combos? IE like serebii's attack deck but able to search for multiple attacks simultaneously?

Edit: And really I'm just wanting to post to see my awesome hew avatar. I'm happy. <3

Actually, if I remember Toxic doesn't actually double. It does something more like "1/16, 2/16, 3/16, 4/16, 5/16" as turns go by. I /think/.

Serebii actually put something like that up recently.

Shoddy banned me for this crap. I tried to argue against it.

Weavile with 383 Speed using Pursuit
Azelf with 304 Speed w/ Scarf using U-turn.

Azelf should have went first and hit Weavile with U-turn before getting killed by Pursuit.

Theirs just say Weavile used Pursuit right off the bat and killed it.
I tried it in D/P with my own CS Azelf with the same thing on wifi, the other guy's Weavile is only 383 Speed max, I hit U-turn first, when I try to switch out, Weavile hits Pursuit and killed me.

Can someone confirm this for me?

Azelf definitely does not enjoy how Pursuit works against faster U-Turners.

That should be proof enough, IMO. It's Mekkah's first post in the Azelf analysis.

EDIT EDIT EDIT!

If you look here, you'll see that under "pre-evolution moves", there's a specific group of moves that look like they come as egg moves to Azuril only. How do I get these moves? IDK, it's a weird question. Azumarill has so many moves that require stuff like Egg Move breeding, and Emerald Tutoring. ;_;

Azelf is SCARFed, meaning he is FASTER than Weavile.

EDIT: I did test this on D/P, Weavile can have 0 Spd and the same thing will still happen.

Azelf used U-turn!
(X% of Damage done to Weavile)
Weavile used Pursuit!
(100% Damage done to Azelf)
Azelf Fainted!

Azelf is SCARFed, meaning he is FASTER than Weavile.

Which is the exact problem.

Azelf uses U-Turn.

U-Turn hits Weavile for Super Effective Damage!

Azelf switches out.

Weavile uses pursuit.

Azelf is taken to town, by Super Effective 80 + STAB Pursuit damage.

The way you're hoping it would work is if Azelf was SLOWER. In which case it would go as such:

Weavile used Pursuit.

Azelf takes 40 BP + Stab Pursuit damage.

Azelf uses U-turn.

Weavile takes Super Effective Damage!

Azelf switches out.

EDIT: Just to clarify, this is the order things proceed, hence why your faster Azelf is getting murdered.

EDIT 2: U-Turn used by any Pokemon faster then its enemy functions exactly as a normal switch out, only they leave with a smack in the face.

From what I read from his post, Azelf was faster and chose U-turn, but somehow Weavile went first with a boosted power Pursuit and killed Azelf before it could move, which doesn't sound right at all.

And as for the Azurill-only egg moves, they're just that. Marill can't hatch with them. Only Azurill. It's like how Roselia doesn't have Extrasensory as an egg move, while Budew does.

If that's the case, then I apologise, and it is a valid complaint. There is no reason Azelf didn't smack Weavile in the face before leaving.

So will Azurill hatch with those moves automatically, or do I have to have the father know those moves?
The egg moves have to be known by the dad, but the baby moves like Charm are learned by Azurill as it levels up without evolving, just like how Pichu learns Nasty Plot but Pikachu doesn't.

I had the same problem a while back, with Beedrill vs Tyranitar. I don't know if it's just a Shoddy thing, but it seems to be something to do with the way Pursuit goes before the switch. For example:

Weavile used Pursuit
Ash switched out Charizard

^Note how the Pursuit message is displayed before the switch message. The game (or Shoddy at least) seems to register U-Turn as a switch and processes it in the same way. So Pursuit is used before U-Turn.

Weavile used Pursuit
Azelf used U-Turn

Honestly, that's how I see it. But I don't know if it's just a Shoddy thing, I haven't tested it in game.

I've managed to piece this together. In the game, U-turn hits AND THEN Pursuit nails the guy on his way out, unless of course the U-Turn was fatal. In Shoddy, a full-powered Pursuit will go BEFORE a U-Turn, regardless of Speed.

You're welcome. Just wondering, when will my Dodrio will show its faces on your thread?
Definitely soon! Lol, faces. :P I'm deciding on whether or not to add SD > Acupressure, though. It'll probably just come with the TM. But anyway, I have another question...

Azurill's egg move list lists ONLY those specific "pre-evolution" egg moves. I'm assuming that it means that moves like Charm, Tickle, and Sing are not compatable with moves like Aqua Jet and Superpower, meaning that Aqua Jet on the "Sleeper Hit" set is illegal. Correct? I'm going to be testing it out, but I might as well check here first.

Dude, Acupressure is one of the points of the thing! If you really must kill Acupressure, go ahead, though. I say Pursuit has to go though. Maybe for Rest to mess up status-inducing walls.

Checked Serebii and yes, a Singing Azumarill with Aqua Jet would indeed be a steaming pile of cheat. Even more so than Hypnosis and Brave Bird on Crobat (Breve Bat? lol). At least a hacked father could pass both to a baby Zubat.

Thanks very much!
Yeah, it's going over Pursuit. ;) I think. IDK. The disadvantage to redistributing it is that Return's power gets tanked when I trade it to anyone. Oh, well. :P Thanks for the awesome redistributable Poke, though. ^^

I'm going to test this in my game, but then I might PM chaos, or something just to nitpick. :P

You think you've got it bad there, I had to re-happy the thing after I got it cloned!

I have two questions:

1: this has nothing to do with DP but I was wondering. Can you put the Time Flute on a Pokemon (in Colloseum), trade it to Emerald and duplicate it, then trade it back? That would be awesome lol.

2: when evolving a Pokemon that could get a different ability in DP, is it set per Pokemon or is it random? Like, I'd Pal Park five of the SAME Yanma's with Compoundeyes, level 33 and holding a Rare Candy, evolve it and I would have a 50% chance of it becoming Speed Boost?
