Smogon Simple Questions Thread

If I signed up for a tournament, and I don't appear in round 1, does that mean I didn't make the first 62.5% or whatever, or did I do something wrong?

You probably weren't randomly chosen from the 62.5%. If the tour has a list of subs, check for yourself there, and if you still can't find your name contact the host.
 
How do some users have a gif as their profile picture, Everytime I try it says I need it to be under 100kb but I see other users with good quality gifs that aren't 100kb as their profile picture?

Badge holders are allowed to have a gif over 100kb as their profile pic. To know more about badges and how to earn them, click here.

If a pokemon receives a very small amount of usage (around 1% iirc) it can "quickdrop" to a lower tier in between tiering months. This will probably happen to some of the new megas.

If you have a bunch of Pokemon to show off, though. You can make your own thread in the Wi-Fi section. But make sure that you've read and understood the rules of the Wi-Fi section (and Smogon as a whole) first, though. Razor leaf defaults to special in Generations 4-6 on Showdown!'s damage calculator. This is an oversight, right? Where should I report this?

Noticed that you already posted in the bug reports thread. But for reference, I think it would be just as fine to post about something like that in this thread: http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/gen-7-damage-calculator.3593546 . Not saying that the post should be moved or anything like that, of course. Just thought the thread would be worth bringing up.
