Is Blaziken supposed to scare Blissey or not? Whenever I get Blaziken in, the opponent always T-Waves or Seismic Tosses that turn instead of switching when I try to force a switch and use Agility.
Well, Blaziken is supposed to use its status as a physical/mixed attacker to scare off Blissey, so you're either getting outpredicted or have bad opponents.

if double powder is recommended on several bug/grass pokes, why is Yawn, coupled with Thunder Wave, not reccommended on Uxie?

i figure u'd T-Wave, then Yawn the switch, the either U-Turn or set up SR, so why not?

Random question, but would Magic Guard be a good ability on Blissey, possibly better than Natural Cure? Granted, Sleep, Freeze, and Paralysis are harder to take care of, but at the same time, you don't have to run from Toxic or Burn and Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sandstream, and what not won't wear you down (I think...).

No, I'm not gonna hack a Blissey. I'm just curious.

Is this a good 'Mence?

Naughty Nature @ Life Orb

252 ATK... what else?

Dragon Claw
Fire Blast
EQ
DD

How much speed and HP do I need? Also, is Naughty OK, I want good special attack and defense, and ice beam OHKOs anyway.

This was ignored. I've already started a Mence like this, but before I waste money on TMs, is it good?

Magic Guard is most likely the best ability in the game, IMO. I'm surprised people don't hack it on their guys instead of wonder guard :P

Speaking of Wonder Guard (or at least Spiritomb, lawls):

Do Scrappy or Foresighted fighting moves hit Dark/Ghosts for SE damage? I think removing ghost's immunity makes it neutral, and Dark is of course weak to fighting.

Scrappy and Foresight make it so you can use Normal and Fighting moves against Ghost types for normal damage, so a Fighting move against a Foresight'ed Spiritomb would be SE because its Dark typing is weak to Fighting

really imo wonder guard blissey is better...

Besides hacking, how do you get Wonder Guard on other Pokes? I heard Wonder Guard can't be Skill Swapped. Also: Are the Base Stats of all Pokemon from 3rd Gen the same in 4th Gen?

Porygon2/Gardevoir can Trace it. I had the extraordinary luck of facing a Shedinja the other day. I switched in Porygon2, and lol, gg.

Base stats are the same.

How does Toxic work? If I'm right, it can kill in 5 turns, but what's the formula for this (in case something else factors in, such as healing, switching, or Sandstorm). For example, is it 1/16th, 2/16ths, 4/16 ths... etc? Or what?

I'm sorry, that's the greatest thing I've heard all week. :'D

Kami: iirc it's 1/16, 2/16, 3/16, etc. Shoot me if I'm wrong.

I want to know if I'm checking Emerald-bred Rhyhorn's ability correctly or not. I RC Rhyhorn up to 41 in Emerald. Then I Pal Park it to Pearl and level it up once, evolving it. If it switches ability, I should see it changed as Rhydon, right?

I'm asking because all four Rhyhorns that I've transfered and evolved in this manner have kept their ability. Is it just random luck that this is happening? Is the chance of changing ability 50%?

*ahem*

I really like Glaceon...Is it usable ina competitive Hail team? If so, what role would it play?
I currently have these pokemon on my repetoire....
Subseed Abomasnow
Stallrein
Toxi-Spinke Tentacruel

Glaceon can work. She's a fragile sweeper, but with Snow Cloak on your side, she can take a hit or two. I would run Blizzard/HP Fighting with either Wish/Substitute/Fake Tears/Encore to force switches, to help defend yourself.

Glaceon works, but she's not the best choice for a hail team. I use hail so I'd like to say I know what I'm talking about xD

Defender HP: 374 Damage: 138 - 162
Damage: 36.90% - 43.32%
Without Choice band.

Defender HP: 374 Damage: 205 - 242
Damage: 54.81% - 64.71%
With Choice Band. No.

Would that work on a hail team? Btw, what makes a good second hail user for the team in case aboma dies and they have T-tar?
If I ran
252hp/252spatk/4spd(Supposed Analysis Standard)
Blizzard
Hp Fighting
Fake Tears
Wish
