Pet Mod SylveMons (Discussion Phase)

Time to give my opinions.

Seed Bomb - honestly don’t like this. Just, doesn’t really stand out for me... It seems cheap...

Sonic Boom / Dragon Rage / Psywave - Benefits stall and that’s about it. Makes sense, but I hate stall so, there’s bias there.

Poppy - I kinda like this. Yawn as an item is pretty interesting.

Voodoo Doll - ehhhh, never liked the concept of voodoo full stop, but the effect is pretty cool.

Ring Target - Nice buff to a crap item. Gonna be nice on things like Lando-T so they can spam EQ. Also, Koko now wrecks everything with Thunderclap / Wild Charge + Ring Target.

Terrains - Misty Terrain needed a buff. Agree with that.

Weathers - So, a buff and a nerf to hail. Doesn’t seem like it’ll change much. Although Avalugg is gonna be absolutely absurd as a physical wall under hail now.

Vespiquen - It needed a buff. This might not be perfect but it’ll do for now.

Lugia - oh boy. This thing is going to be dangerous... I’m kinda worried about this; it has 2 weaknesses compared to the original’s 5. Sure, it loses an immunity to ground, but still...

Deerling Line - Submitted something like this in Moving On Up back when it was alive. I like it

Rotom-Fan - Although I get this is a competitive buff, wouldn’t it make sense for all of the appliances to be Electric/Steel if the fan is... Either way, it’s a nice buff.

Lil set I did for Emolga:

Emolga @ Light Ball
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Seed Bomb
- Spore
- Substitute / Swords Dance
- Mach Punch
Technician Loom is probably better, but here's SubSeed Loom on steroids anyway.
celesteela.gif

Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def

Untauntable Leech Seed...

Do the words "completely passive" mean anything anymore?
zapdos.gif

Zapdos @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roost
OO: Volt Switch/U-Turn
This is like Pelipper but better in almost every way if you don't mind giving up Scald or Hurricane. Now that's a good birb.
solrock.gif

Solrock @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stone Edge
- Will-O-Wisp
- Morning Sun
- Stealth Rock
Moltres and Sunflora are cool setters, yeah, but I'm really intrigued by this thing. I mean, Rock/Psychic isn't the best typing, but not being weak to rocks and having a neutralized Water weakness is great for a Sun setter, it has Will-O-Wisp to cripple opposing Attackers, can set up Rocks like Torkoal, and even has Morning Sun for 66% recovery automatically, If you're creating a Sun team, please don't forget about this thing.
regirock.gif

Regirock @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic
If you don't mind not having Recrystalize, Regirock is a titanium-plated Gigalith essentially. Like, this thing will not die by conventional means, I can almost guarantee that.
cryogonal.gif

Cryogonal @ Light Clay
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Freeze-Dry
- Aurora Veil
- Explosion
- Rapid Spin
It's not as fast as Ninetales, but Cryogonal differentiates itself as a Veil setter thanks to it's access to Explosion and Rapid Spin. You can spin away hazards, set up Veil, and as soon as you feel like your sweeper is ready to sweep, you blow up and get them in for free! This thing also gets Defog, but I forget if Defog clears your own Aurora Veil (I don't think it does). If you want more of a wall build of it, go with 248 HP / 192 Def / 68 Spe (outspeed +Spe base 70s) replace Explosion with Recover.
regice.gif

Regice @ Life Clay
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aurora Veil
- Blizzard
- Thunderbolt / Seismic Toss
- Recrystalize
Oh, oh my.... this, this is really good, jeez. With Hail's buff patching up the Defense, the huge Special Defense, boosted Recrystalize, and Aurora Veil... dang....
xurkitree.gif

Xurkitree @ Waterium Z
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder
- Energy Ball
- Rain Dance
- Tail Glow
So, this thing looks broken, right?...Now you might be wondering what the heck in Z-Rain Dance is doing here instead of Z-Sleep Powder. Well, Electric Terrain prevents stuff from falling asleep... which kinda invalidates Z-Sleep Powder, so Z-Rain Dance is the best thing you have and that's why this thing is easily the least threatening suspect. Without Z-Sleep Powder, ESurge Xurkitree has an extremely hard time getting its full setup off, though the reward if you do get both a Z-Rain Dance and Tail Glow off, the reward is extremely high. Also, some random things like Togedemaru might be able to at least take a hit and KO Xurk due to forgoing Beast Boost.
ampharos.gif
ampharos-mega.gif

Ampharos @ Ampharosite
Ability: Electric Surge -> Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt / Ion Absorb
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Agility
or
Ampharos @ Ampharosite
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Thunderbolt
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Volt Switch
Fabio needed a buff. A boost to its already high powered STAB? Yeah that works. Also, normal Ampharos is a pretty decent defensive Electric Terrain setter with Heal Bell and Volt Switch.
aromatisse.gif

Aromatisse @ Life Orb / Black Sludge
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Moonblast
- Sludge Bomb / Hidden Power [Fire]
- Nasty Plot
- Wish / Hidden Power [Fire]
Trick Room + buffed Misty Surge + Nasty Plot = Some some sweeping capabilities, surely, right? And of course, there are defensive sets, though it might like Aroma Veil more for that.
espeon.gif

Espeon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock / Psychic
- Dazzling Gleam
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
It looks like a worse Tapu Lele, and to be honest it pretty much is, BUT THAT SPEED THO. That's actually a pretty good reason to use this, seeing as you can disintegrate base 96-109 Speed mons will 0 fear, which includes the crowded 100 Speed tier and Pokemon like Kartana, the Swords of Justice, Blacephalon, and Togedemaru.
leavanny.gif
roserade.gif

Leavanny @ Focus Sash
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Seed Bomb
- Sticky Web
- Knock Off
- X-Scissor / Magic Coat
and
Roserade @ Black Sludge
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Spikes
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Both of these Pokemon possess the ability to set up hazards and Grassy Terrain at the same time, which makes for some very useful utility I'd say.
rotom-fan.gif

Rotom-Fan @ Leftovers / Iapapa Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 200 Def / 60 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
- Will-O-Wisp / Pain Split
- Defog / Pain Split
This thing is actually really cool. Electric/Steel + Levitate is a fantastic defensive typing, with only 2 weaknesses in Fire and Fighting (same as Ferrothorn with no 4x weakness!), 2 immunites, and a whopping 11 resistances. With all of this good, I hope that you'll become this Rotom's #1 Fan!

I would talk about the Sawsbuck's, but there's 4 of them and I'm tired, just know that they are really cool.

Also, Submissions are now open!

leavanny.gif

Leavanny @ Focus Sash
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Seed Bomb
- Sticky Web
- Knock Off
- X-Scissor / Magic Coat
Wouldn't Leavanny always rather use Twineedle over X-Scissor tho? (Or Bug Bite too, but Darkis a better type than Bug and allows for some coverage)

lycanroc.gif

New Type: Rock / Normal
New Moves: Double-Edge, Extreme Speed, Morning Sun, Counter, Body Slam, Encore, Giga Impact, Me First, Retaliate, Slash, Head Smash
New Abilities: Adaptability (HA, -Steadfast), Rock Head (-Keen Eye)
Rationale: It's hard to explain why a mon should be normal, but among all of them, they have usually a pastel-like color pallete, which Lycanroc also has. Not to meantion, most ordinary animal-based mons are Normal-Types, and Lycanroc does get that Normal vibe from it.
Competitive Value: Really good coverage and has a pretty essential stab in Extreme Speed. Morrning Sun is there because it's literally called "Midday". Recovery allows it to spam Double Edge better. Return + Stone Edge + Drill Run makes for a pretty good offensive set. With Encore there as well, and a pretty decent Speed tier, it can have some fun outside of attacking.

lycanroc-dusk.gif

New Type: Rock / Fire
New Moves: Flare Blitz, WoW, Flame Bullet, Flame Charge, Morning Sun, Moonlight, Blaze Kick, Fire Lash, Sunny Day
New Abilities: Adaptability (HA)
Rationale: "Bathed in the setting sun of evening, Lycanroc has undergone a special kind of evolution. An intense fighting spirit underlies its calmness. This strange form is the result of its evolving at dusk. It's very rare in Alola." - USUM dex. Being a mon who depends on the harsh sunlight of the dusk to evolve, and having the typical orange-ish pallete that gives off a fiery vibe, Dusk Lycanroc fits perfectly under Rock / Fire
Competitive Value: Rock / Fire is a pretty decent coverage. With that, and the help from Tough Claws, it can do quite a decent damage. It's a shame this type wasn't used offensively before, but now you have a chance to.

lycanroc-midnight.gif

New Type: Rock / Dark
New Moves: Beat Up, Knock Off, Pursuit, Memento, Night Slash, Parting Shot, Power Trip, Switcheroo, Shadow Claw, Moonlight, Drill Run and Accelerock (It's the only Lycanroc form that doesn't get them)
New Abilities: Adaptability (-Current HA)
Rationale: "It has no problem ignoring orders it doesn't like. It doesn't seem to mind getting hurt at all—as long as it can finish off its opponent. They live alone without forming packs. They will only listen to orders from Trainers who can draw out their true power." Other than being based on a kind of Werewolf, as well as being a nocturnal species, and evolving only during night, it also has the "Nasty, rebellious and mischievous" look that a lot of Dark-Type mons have.
Competitive Value: With now having Pursuit, Knock Off, Parting Shot, Memento, Moonlight and Drill Run on it's arsenal, and a previously really restricted type combo, Midnight has it's nieches. Sucker Punch gaining stab makes it a better Set-Up sweeper than before, specially with Sash Obstinacy.

cofagrigus.gif
(This is a weird Lycanroc, I know)
New Type: Ghost / Steel
New Moves: Flash Cannon, Metal Burst, Heavy Slam, Ancient Power (It's a mummy), Shadow Punch (For obvious reasons)
New Abilities: Filter (HA)
Rationale: It's a sarcofagus, seems to be made of Gold and the closest we have to that is Steel.
Competitive Value: Much better Defensive typing, which really makes the difference. While it doesn't lose any weaknesses that it didn't have before, it gains a load of new resistances and one immunity, at the cost only of gaining a weakness to Fire. Metal Burst makes it pretty dangerous as well.

Pokemon: Grumpig

Name: Howl
Existing Move?: Y
Category: Misc
Type: Dark
BP: Same
PP: Same
Effect: Lowers enemy attack by 1, and raises users by 1
Priority: 0
Misc.: None. Sound based for what its worth. If it fails to lower attack, it fails to boost user's.
Z-Move: Unchanged
Niche: Howl sucks. By being both Growl and a +1 attack, it means setting up in the face of a 'counter' can be a lot easier to pull off.
Potential Pokemon With This Move: Current distribution is low, but Arcanine and Entei will sure enjoy this huge buff.

Name: Liquid Limestone
Existing Move?: N
Category: Special
Type: Rock
BP: 110
Accuracy: 75
PP: 5
Effect: Hits hard with a liquid limestone. In rain or sand, cannot miss. 10% chance to lower enemy atk one stage.
Priority: 0
Misc.: None
Z-Move: Unchanged
Niche: A REAL special rock move. Not that many rock types want special rock moves, but it certainly wouldn't hurt.
Potential Pokemon With This Move: Most rock types not named Diancie would get. For a rain Smashing Omastar, it rounds out well with Hydro Pump. A nice STAB for Nihilego alongside Acid Burn, and I guess some ground types and a few miscellaneous could get as well. It'd be hard hitting from Nidos and Camerupt. Others might have access, but who? Ampharos? Not sure it really needs a rock move. Hydreigon? I'm unsure. It could become like Fireblast/Thunder/Blizzard and have a decent distribution that doesn't always make sense.

Name: Encroach
Existing Ability?: N
Effect: During Shadow Sky, provides +30% damage to Ghost, Dark and Bug moves
Niche: Shadow Sky needs users, and bug... I guess it needs a buff.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: While Dark and ghost types do fit, a name like Encroach inspires creepy crawly bugs. It would certainly give the weather a niche if you saw a bug type going in to stop an enemy dark type from walling your ghost or dark abusers.

Name: Iron Fist
Existing Ability?: Y
Effect: On top of a 20% damage boost, punch moves always strike Fairy types Super Effectively
Niche: Iron Fist is outclassed fully by Tough Claws. All IF moves are boosted by TC as well. While the moves are more limited, all hitting fairy means that Fire Punch is 4x effective vs. Tapu Bulu and Magerna, Thunder Punch 4x vs Tapu Fini, Ice Punch 4x vs Mega Altaria and Tapu Bulu, and the Fight Moves are enjoying 1 less resistance. It's called IRON fist so it should break cute fairies. Immunities from other types take priority so unless you have foresight, you can't SE Mimikyu with Fight moves. 4x fight moves vs. Magerna and Mawile, a priority fight move as well no less.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: It's disbursement is okay. Pangoro likes how its Dual STAB is far less resistable.

Name: Poison Touch/Battery
Existing Ability: Yes
Effect: Becomes poison/Electric Steelworker
Niche: Not sure it's a nerf over the original. But Seismotoad could score surprise revenge on grassers with great power. If only it had Gunk Shot.
Potential Pokémon with Ability: It's distribution is low, but not bad. Maybe Remove Alola Grimer/Muk to give the regular dark-less version a reason to feel useful. It'll get interesting mileage on Seismotoad. Dragalge probably gets better mileage from Adaptability although Acid Melt will hit like a truck. The Poison/Fight frog has better things to do with the always awesome Dry Skin.

As for Battery, certainly needs more options than Charjabug, probably its evolution. But what else? Magnezone? Rotoms?....... Zapdos? Maybe Porygon line?

Name: Mineralize/Ferrate/Fertilize/Liquidate
Existing Abilities: No
Effect: -ate/ize for Rock, Steel, Grass and Water
Niche: Same as other ate abilities.
Potential Pokémon: Mostly this is meant to let the musketeers stand out, though Terrakion with Return and Quick Attack is the biggest winner. Keldeo gets Z-Normal Hyper Beam, assuming Z-Hyper Beam actually gets the type change. The defensive musketeers could use it, though it would likely entice a more physical spread from them.

BP: 100
PP: 10

Priority: 0.
Misc.: Does not make contact.
Z-Move: 180 BP. Typing depends on user's primary typing.
Niche: You'll see later why.
Potential Pokemon With This Move: Same as before.
Name: Mega Launcher (yeah, I still have to add moar shit).
Existing Ability?: Yeah
Effect: Increases the power of Ballistic, Pulse, "Cannon" and "Blast" related moves by 50%. (List of "cannon", "blast" and extra ballistic moves: Steam Eruption, Flash Cannon, Techno Blast, Fire Blast, Moonblast, Aeroblast, Bullet Fire, Twineedle, Plume Cannon, Draco Meteor, Bullet Punch, Spike Cannon, Fleur Cannon, Meteor Shower, Hydro Cannon, Blast Burn)
Niche: I've recently realised that the buff I gave to it wasn't still enough, so I guess this one could help.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: We've already done that lol.

Name: Bulletproof.
Existing Ability?: Yeah
Effect: Protects the Pokémon from some ball, bomb, cannon and blast moves. (List of "cannon" and "blast" moves: Steam Eruption, Flash Cannon, Techno Blast, Fire Blast, Moonblast, Aeroblast, Bullet Fire, Twineedle, Plume Cannon, Draco Meteor, Bullet Punch, Spike Cannon, Fleur Cannon, Meteor Shower, Hydro Cannon)
Niche: Lets the new users of the ability to wall more things.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Everything that got it before + Rhyperior, Steelix-Mega, Forretress, Donphan, Geodude line, Stakataka maybe?.

Name: Anticipation.
Existing Ability?: Yeah
Effect: The Pokemon is inmune to super effective hits on switch-in.
Niche: Scouting is safer for the new users of the move.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Duuuhh, I'm not sure, maybe some Pokemon that can learn Future Sight like Absol or Sigilyph.
solgaleo.gif

steel.gif
fire.gif

New Moves: Flame Bullet, Incinerate, Will-O-Wisp, Swords Dance maybe.
Abilites: Same as before. Maybe Drought as a HA.
Rationale: It's based on the Sun, which is somewhat related to Fire in Pokemon. It's also the only non-Fire-type that learns Flare Blitz and one of the few that learns Flame Charge.
Competitive Value: Just look how many resistances it got lol: 1 Inmunity to Poison, 5 strong resistances to Bug, Fairy, Grass, Steel and Ice and regular resistances to Dragon, Flying, Normal and Psychic. It obviously suffers from being weak to conmon coverage options as Ground and Fighting, but it cannot be worse than it was before.

lunala.gif

ghost.gif
fairy.gif

New Moves: Double Slap, Shadow Charge.
Abilites: Same as before. Maybe Shadow Surge as a HA.
Rationale: It's associated to the moon and it learns Moonblast and Moonlight, and Moon is conmonly associated to Fairies and Dark-types in Pokemon.
Competitive Value: Great typing both Defensibly and offensibly due to just leaving it with 2 weaknesses to Ghost and Steel and hitting all the Uber tier at least neutrally.
necrozma.gif

dark.gif

New Moves: Double Slap, Sucker Punch, Dazzling Gleam, Cross Chop, Nasty Plot, Poison Jab.
Abilites: Same as before. Maybe Magic Bounce as a HA.
Rationale: Associated to eclipses, dead stars, black holes and black duarfs, which are basically resemblances to Dark-type in Pokemon. Also, aside of Brain Prism, there isn't any source that suggest that Necrozma has any kind of psychic powers or others.
Competitive Value: Mono-Dark typing isn't reaaally better than Mono-Psychic, but at least it isn't as reliant on Ground and Bug type coverage as before, due to Knock Off punishing conmon switch-ins and having other strong coverage options like Cross Chop or Poison Jab for other Dark and Fairy-types respectively. Oh, and Special sets are more reliable due to the new aditions of Nasty Plot and Dazzling Gleam, yay.

New Moves: Double Slap, Sucker Punch, Dazzling Gleam, Cross Chop, Nasty Plot, Poison Jab,
Dusk Mane gains all the moves that Solgaleo can learn.
Dawn Wings gains all the moves that Lunala can learn.
Abilites:
Same as before. Maybe Full Metal Body or Drought as a HA for DM, Shadow Shield or Shadow Shield as a HA for DW.
Rationale: Associated to eclipses, dead stars, black holes and black duarfs, which are basically resemblances to Dark-type in Pokemon. Also, aside of Brain Prism, there isn't any source that suggest that Necrozma has any kind of psychic powers or others.
Competitive Value (DM): At first you'll surely say, things like:" duuhh, it's weak to Ground and Fire an is x4 weak to Fighting" or "now it cannot check Xerneas so is bad", well, what if I said you that its new typing offers it NINE resistances and two inmunities and it isn't weak anymore to those conmon Ghost and Dark-type attacks? And what if I said you that now it has STAB on Knock Off and Sucker Punch?
Competitive Value (DW): While it isn't as good offensively as Lunala, but hell yeah it's bulky as heck with a great defensive typing and supportive movepool. It can also put some offensive pressure due to its huge SpA and decent offensive movepool. In fact, an offensive set either double dance or OTR can be usable due to its good bulk and the aformentioned tools.
Rationale (Ultra): Duuuhhhh, I just didn't want another Psychic legendary mon and it didn't make too much sense keeping it part Dark due to being literally based on giant stars and supernovae. Oh, and this also distinguishes Necrozma-DM and Necrozma-DW when they ultra burst.
Competitive Value (Ultra): More versatile than before due to its new movepool aditions and typings. (I'll add a better description later)

Niche: Choice Band but slightly less annoying, is cool for stuff that likes the power boost like Weavile or Terrakion but doesn't want to be locked into one move.

Name: Mach 5
Existing Ability?: N
Effect: Sound-based moves get +1 Priority
Niche: Noivern is now a very reliable revenge killer with Priority Boomburst and what not :)
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Noivern.

Name: Dull Reversion
Existing Ability?: N
Effect: Removes all field effects upon switch in such as room, weather, terrain, screens, safeguard, lucky chant and all that kind of stuff. Does not remove hazards
Niche: Great, I won't lose to Trick Room, Tapu Koko, or Air Current teams now :)
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Seel, Dewgong, Exeggcute, Exeggutor, Exeggutor-Alola, Togepi, Togetic, Dunsparce, Stantler, Miltank, Skitty, Delcatty, Gulpin, Swalot, Bidoof, Bibarel, Togekiss, Dusknoir, Pidove, Tranquill, Unfezant, Oranguru, Type: Null.

Name: Heedless
Existing Ability?: N
Effect: The user ignores any speed modifier before attacking every turn. So a Heedless Zeraora would still be outsped by Mega Alakazam, but it would outrun Choice Scarf Blacephalon, Magearna after a Shift Gear, and Trick Room Stakataka.
Niche: A great offensive counterplay for Trick Room, and overall a great tool for HO teams alike.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Dodrio, Tauros, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Mightyena, Delcatty, Luxray, Zebstrika, Boufallant, Pyroar, Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Sceptile, Mega Gallade, Zeraora. (My original idea is only the fully evolved Pokémon).

Name: Surge Surfer
Existing Ability?: Yes
Effect: Holder's Speed is doubled under any Terrain.
Niche: I think we can introduce more Pokémon with abilities that interact and benefit from Terrains. This would give Alolan Raichu a chance to be a good coverge option in other Terrains, for example in Psychic Terrain, and would do the same to all its new users.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Spring Sawsbuck (instead of Chlorophyll), Zeraora (hidden ability), Entei, Raikou, Suicune (instead of Pressure), Rotom (all formes' Hidden Ability), Cottonee line (instead of Chlorophyll), Mantyke line (instead of Swift Swim [just for a reference to that surfing mini-game in USM]).

Name: Mimetism
Existing Ability?: No
Effect: Holder gains the type of the active Terrain as its secondary typing, following Camouflage mechanics.
Niche: As said above, another ability that benefits from Terrain and gives STAB to Nature Power.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Kecleon (secondary ability), Corsola (instead of Hustle), Trubbish line (instead of Weak Armor), Flabébé line (secondary ability), Carnivine (hidden ability), Octillery (instead of Moody), Cottonee line (instead of Infiltrator), Dwebble line (instead of Weak Armor), Golett line (instead of Klutz), Bonsly line (instead of Rattled), Turtwig line (secondary ability), Onix (instead of Weak Armor), Staryu line (instead of Analytic), Mothim, Sewaddle line (instead of Overcoat).

Name: Cold Blood
Existing Ability?: No
Effect: Holder is immune to Fire-type moves and recovers 25% of its max HP instead of being hit by any of them; holder recovers 1/8 of its max HP at the end of every turn under Harsh Sunlight; Ice-type moves inflict 25% more damage and holder loses 1/8 of its max HP at the end of every turn under Hail.
Niche: Another immunity to Burn could be beneficial, we only have Water Veil and Flash Fire that actually do that. This works as a Dry Skin clone, which means more Pokémon can benefit from Sun. I went with Hail for the damaging weather because reptiles don't really suffer rain or water, they suffer more cold.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Ekans line (instead of Unnerve), Seviper (secondary ability) , Snivy line (secondary ability), Scraggy line (instead of Shed Skin), Druddigon (instead of Mold Breaker or Sheer Force), Treecko line (secondary ability), Salandit line (secondary ability), Lickytung line (instead of Oblivious), Tirtouga line (instead of Swift Swim), Turtwig line (secondary ability), Torkoal (instead of Shell Armor [it doesn't really need it tho, 'cause Drought will always be preferred and it already is immune to Burn and resistant to Fire type, so it would only add damage under Hail]), Turtonator (hidden ability), Bagon line (secondary ability), Totodile line (secondary ability [Strong Jaw would be better for them tho]).

Name: Space Warp
Existing Ability?: No
Effect: Summons Wonder Room for 5 turns upon switch-in (8 with Room Extender); under Wonder Room, the damage inflicted by Physical (Special) moves is calculated using attacker's Special Attack (Attack) and target's Special Defense (Defense); if Wonder Room is already active, it is removed from the field when holder switches in.
Niche: How many times did you want to use Head Smash Nihilego or Fire Blast as an affordable Fire-type Physical move or Gunk Shot as a Special STAB? Now you're able to do that under Wonder Room.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Bronzor line (instead of Heavy Metal), Palkia (instead of Pressure), Jirachi (hidden ability), Elgyem line (instead of Synchronize), Sigilyph (instead of Wonder Skin), Reuniclus (instead of Overcoat), Gengar (hidden ability [Gengar is inspired to Cheshire cat, a character from Alice in Wonderland]).

Misc.: Makes contact.
Z-Move: 180 BP
Niche: To give some relevance to biting moves and Strong Jaw users, and omologate all of them to Psychic Fangs.
Potential Pokemon With This Move: Old distribution is pretty good, I'd just spread more Psychic Fang and Poison Fang, giving the first to some Dark- and Rock-types, like Tyranitar, Mightyena, Absol, Houndoom, Hydreigon, Gyarados, Krokorok, Lycanroc (all formes), Aerodactyl, Tyrantrum and to some others to give them coverage, like Feraligatr, Granbull, Glailie, Luxray, Froslass, Lucario and Silvally. Z-Move: 175 BP
Niche: Same as above, I think those moves should be the physical counterparts of Flamethrower, Thunderbolt and Ice Beam, respectively, so why not give them the same BP? I think the metagame is currently too much specially-oriented, physical coverage moves (which are STABs for many Pokémons) should be encouraged more.
Potential Pokemon With This Move: Current distribution is good. Maybe we can give Shadow Punch to more Pokémons as a coverage move, but I don't know who to give it; Bisharp, Pangoro and Dark-types that can learn Elemental Punches could get it.

Z-Move: 180 BP
Niche: This could give a viable STAB to Dragon-type mons with no arms (so unable to use Dragon Claw), since Dragon Hammer is exclusive to Alolan Exeggutor.
Potential Pokemon With This Move: Pretty much every Dragon-type Pokémon with a mouth and Zygarde, except Alolan Exeggutor, Lati@s, Dratini and Dragonair, Kingdra, Altaria, Dragalge and Goomy line; some from the Monster and Dragon Egg Groups could also get it, like Tyranitar, Sceptile, Totodile line, Charmander line, Arbok, Gyarados, Seviper, Aggron and Tropius.
Name: Assault Helmet

Removable via Knock Off?: If not Silvally or Type: Null
Ignored by Klutz?: If not Silvally or Type: Null
Niche: Defensive Pokémon will love this! Think of Spiritomb or Electric-types. And this also gives relevance to Silvally and Type:Null.
luxray.gif

Pokemon: Luxray
New typing:
Electric.png
Dark.png

New Moves: Sucker Punch, Night Slash, Swords Dance, Iron Head, Zen Headbutt, Poison Jab
Niche: Can its ability be replaced by Strong Jaw, instead of Rivalry? By the way, 2 STABs are better than one, Luxray is the most fitting to introduce this typing, it already learns some Dark moves, and it can give it effective sweeping possibilities, considering Wild Charge is a 150 BP move here.

granbull.gif

Pokemon: Granbull
New typing:
Fairy.png

New Moves: Sucker Punch, Belly Drum, Iron Head, Zen Headbutt, Poison Jab, Curse
Niche: Almost same as Luxray, but with Fairy typing. I'd like to give Strong Jaw to it as well (instead of Quick Feet).

- Mesprit: Moonblast, Play Rough, Disarming Voice, Draining Kiss, Heal Bell, Recover
- Azelf: Healing Wish, Dark Pulse, Foul Play, Switcheroo, Shadow Sky, Parting Shot, Ice Beam, Recover
Niche: Reducing weaknesses could give these fascinating Trio some good usage, and those are the best type combos including Psychic type.

New Moves: Double Slap.
Abilites: Same as before. Maybe Dark Surge as a HA.
Rationale: It's associated to the moon and it learns Moonblast and Moonlight, and Moon is conmonly associated to Fairies and Dark-types in Pokemon.
Competitive Value:
I personally think Shadow Surge would fit better on Lunala since it's not a Dark-type and you gave Solgaleo a weather-summoning ability too. Unless that's what you meant originally.

Name: Blue Flare / Bolt Strike / High Horsepower / Mega Kick
Existing Move?: Yes
Category: Physical / Special (Blue Flare)
Type: Fire / Electric / Ground / Normal
BP: 135
PP: 8 Max
Effect: 85% Accuracy, 20% chance to burn (BF) / paralyze (BS) / flinch (HH) / lower the attack of (MK) the foe.
Priority: 0
Misc.: Kicking move (HH, MK), Contact (BS, HH, MK)
Z-Move: 190 BP Inferno Overdrive / Gigavolt Havoc / Tectonic Rage / Breakneck Blitz
Niche: Making High Horsepower and Mega Kick more appealing, having a nice punch behind them and secondary effects to either help Pokemon that don't get EQ or compete with E Q and Return.
Potential Pokemon With This Move:
Blue Flare - Kyurem-W, Magmortar (I wouldn't go overboard with legendary sigs)
Bolt Strike - Kyurem-B, Electivire
High Horsepower - Deerling line, Tauros, Bouffalant, Stantler, Rhyhorn line, Blitzle line, Gogoat
Mega Kick - More stuff from Gens 4-7 (Skiddo line, Blitzle line, Fighting-types, Deerling line, Bouffalant, Diggersby, Furfrou, Litten line, Komala, Sivally, etc.) and Doduo line, otherwise distribution is more than good.

Name: Smog
Existing Move?: Yes
Category: Special
Type: Poison
BP: 40
PP: 32 Max
Effect: 100% Accuracy. If the opponent switches out, this move's power is doubled. 40% chance to badly poison the target.
Priority: 0 (Higher priority than switching. if the opponent is switching out)
Misc.: N/A
Z-Move: 100 BP Acid Downpour
Niche: There are a few certain Fairy-types that need a little something to scare them, y'know? Plus, having more moves that can badly poison targets is cool. Plus plus, I mean, we're on Smogon....
Potential Pokemon With This Move: Old Distribution + Heatmor, Trubbish line, other Poison-types

Name: All-Terrain Blast
Existing Move?: No
Category: Special
Type: Normal
BP: 50
PP: 16 Max
Effect: 100% Accuracy, does double damage in terrains and becomes the same type of the terrain.
Priority: 0
Misc.: Affected by Bulletproof
Z-Move: Breakneck Blitz (160 BP (Weather Ball is apparently 160)), will turn into the appropriate Z-Move that matches the terrain (this is also how Weather Ball works).
Niche: You know that Mega Camerupt set that uses Nature Power when paired with Tapu Koko or Bulu in order to launch a powerful coverage move (or if your name is Yoshiblaze, with Specs Prankster Whimsicott)? This is that, but stronger for most Pokemon and can't be taunted. This allows for cool synergy between with Tapus.
Potential Pokemon With This Move: The Tapus and Pokemon that learn terrain moves, some other stuff

Name: Tormentor's Toll
Existing Move?: No
Category: Status
Type: Ghost
BP: --
PP: 16 Max
Effect: 100% Accuracy, the user heals itself by an equal amount to the opponent's Special Attack stat and lowers the opponent's Special Attack
Priority: 0
Misc.: N/A
Z-Move: Raises the user's Special Defense by one
Niche: Everybody knows how ridiculously good Strength Sap is, seeing how it singlehandedly gives Vileplume a niche in UU and RU. Now, here's the special version and all I'm going to say is GIVE IT TO BANETTE.
Potential Pokemon With This Move: B A N E T T E, other Ghost and Dark-types, but don't go overboard.
Name: Magical Aura
Existing Ability?: No
Effect: Upon switch-in, Magic Room is set-up for 5 turns (8 when the Room Extender is held). (Slight update to Magic Room itself, but due to the nature of the items Relic Charm and Rage Candy Bar being similar to the Primal Orbs, they still activate in Magic Room).
Niche: Makes Magic Room actually usable, as the opponent's items become useless while the user can hold a Z-Crystal or Mega Stone (or be a Mega) and feel nothing. The more important thing, however, is that rooms replace other rooms if Aquatic's changes to rooms wins, which means that this counteracts Time Warp.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Fennekin, Misdreavus, Gothita line, Psyduck line, Cutiefly line

Name: Sole Caliber
Existing Ability?: No
Effect: Boosts the power of kicking moves by 1.2x. (List: Jump Kick, High Jump Kick, Mega Kick, Double Kick, Blaze Kick, Trop Kick, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Rolling Kick, Triple Kick, Stomp, High Horsepower)
Niche: Kicking moves need more love, and this gives them a nifty power boost. Also, so Pokemon with a lot of kicking moves could use a better ability.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Hitmonlee, Tsareena, Doduo line, (Mega) Blaziken, Lopunny, Mienfoo line, Ponyta line | Pheromosa

Name: Hyper Mode
Existing Ability?: No
Effect: This Pokemon's moves are boosted 1.5x, but have recoil equal to 50% of the damage done. In Shadow Sky, the recoil is ignored.
Niche: It's Life Orb in an ability with a bigger risk and reward and gives Shadow Sky some more ue as well as a shout out to the shadow Pokemon games.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Poliwrath, Electrike line, Murkrow line, Houndour line, Carvanha line, other Dark types | Tailow line

Name: Dancer
Existing Ability?: Yes
Effect: Whenever a Pokemon on the field other than the user uses a dance move, this Pokemon will use it. Whenever this Pokemon uses a dance move, its Special Attack goes up by 1, including when copied.
Niche: Revelation Dance is a 90 BP Charge Beam you say? If you switch into a Quiver Dance, you get MORE boosts you say? Yeah, I'll gladly have take that.
Potential Pokemon With This Ability: Oricorio, Bellossom, Hitmontop (Isn't capoeira (what its dance is based on) both a martial art and dance though?), other dance related Pokemon.
Name: Custap Berry
Existing Item?: Yes
Effect: When at 1/4 HP or less at the start of the turn, this item is consumed and the holder moves first in their priority bracket. Also, this item is now released.
Removable via Knock Off?: Yes
Ignored by Klutz?: Yes
Fling BP: 10
Niche: Suicide leads and Snorlax as a revenge killer anybody?!
oricorio-pau.gif

Pokemon: Oricorio-Pa'u
New typing: Psychic/Flying -> Fairy/Flying
New Moves: Fiery Dance, Heat Wave, Quiver Dance (because of how Oricorio works, this applies to all of them)
Niche: I'm really only doing this fix the movepool travesties of Oricorio lacking Heat Wave and Quiver Dance while also giving it Fiery Dance (because of the dance moves it doesn't learn, it makes the most sense other than maybe Petal Dance), but even so, Pa'u Oricorio could use a typing that doesn't kinda suck. With this typing, after a Quiver Dance, all Oricorio forms can sweep pretty effecitively (especially if my buff to Dance wins).
gorebyss.gif

Pokemon: Gorebyss
New typing: Water -> Water/Psychic
New Moves: Psyshock, Dazzling Gleam, Hyper Voice, Calm Mind
Niche: With the amount of Psychic moves it already learns (one of only 5 non-Psychic-types to learn Barrier and Amnesia), this makes sense. Competitively, its Shell Smashing ways get a bit of a buff, with useful secondary STAB in Psychic that can annihilate Toxapex as well as added coverage in Dazzling Gleam to take out its new Dark weakness. Also it needs Hyper Voice to make Liquid Voice usuable, having the Little-Mermaid-reference-before-it-was-cool thing can't be the only thing.
huntail.gif

Pokemon: Huntail
New typing: Water -> Water/Dark
New Moves: Knock Off, Liquidation, Pursuit, Brick Break
Niche: Huntail as a Dark-type could be interesting, with Knock Off and Sucker Punch, Huntail can dent a lot of things after a Shell Smash.
masquerain.gif

Pokemon: Masquerain
New typing: Bug/Flying -> Bug/Water
New Moves: Surf, Whirlpool, Dive, Brine, Hail, Frost Breath, Sleep Powder
Niche: Can we please finally fix this mistake, too? Plus, now that Araquanid exists to act as a counterpart to Masquerain, wouldn't this make more sense? With this change, Masquerain is a Quiver Dance sweeper with a nice offensive typing, Intimidate to force switches, and nifty Bug, Grass, Water, Flying, and Ice coverage. And if that doesn't intrigue you, you could run a support set with the likes of Sticky Web, Stun Spore/Sleep Powder, Scald, Whirlwind, U-Turn, and Defog

I like the concept and all, but didn't Yoshi already submiy an ability with the exact same effect this slate? Or am I confusing the rooms?

Well, I buffed Hail and Misty Surge already so I don't see why not (Be careful tho, you could end up with some broken things if you buff it too much)
Done, see if you like it. Should the setting ability be associated to it immediately, just like how we did with Shadow Sky, or do you suggest to submit it later?

Submit as an ability too imo. Also, you can only submit for a maximum of 4 subs for each category, so you have one more move than you're allowed (Just make a setting ability for WR and change it's effects through there. I changed hail with Snow Warning. Or add Dragon Fang to the rest of the list with the Fang moves)

Just wanted to ask, is anything here broken / too op? (Other than Totemdemaru)

Honestly, Power Gem is a little OTT. Earthquake is a great move due to pretty high BP, 100% accuracy, and decent distribution. Power Gem would be EQ but special and stronger. It has a secondary effect, nothing’s immune and it has 32 PP. I might be overreacting but it should become really limited in distribution if it’s gonna be a Diamond Storm clone. Everything else’s looks pretty balanced though.

Aight, nerfed the BP and now only raises by one stage. Is it balanced now?
