Not 100% sure of this, but its something to do with the ditto keeping the attacks of the pokemon it has transformed into AFTER the battle has finished. Meaning you can sketch them with smeargle, transform into smeargle and then pass them to the offspring.

At least I think thats how it works, might give it a whirl later.
 
Since I have the Jap version, I could easily make almost any illegal set "legal"

It's like this
Ditto transformed into something with desired moveset
KO Ditto; it will keep the moveset of the transformed poke
Put it in the daycare
Voila!

Not in official tournaments and stuff, but sweeping the Battle Tower with Belly Drum + Aqua Jet is nice
 
I just learned that Haze+Mirror coat was illegal on Milotic/Mantine/Blastiose

Damnit... My milotic is hacked then X_x
 
If you are building a team on Wi-Fi, there are no "illegal movesets". That term just refers to people picking 2 moves that a Pokémon physically can't have at once (Surf/Nasty Plot Raichu, Nasty Plot/Tri Attack Togekiss).

Other than that, Lock-on + Sheer Cold = Dick move.

Shoddy doesn't restrict movesets, but that's not because they want you to use illegal sets. It's because breeding is so hard and complicated now that it may be impossible to tell (i.e. the Counter/Mirror Coat Gastrodon discovery).
 
...Couldn't you get a Baton Pass/Swords Dance or Agility Shedninja with this-

Mom Nicada/Ninjask + Father (Ledian) with Swords Dance/Agility/Baton Pass-

then evolve the baby with those moves into Ninjask and Shedninja?

reguarding Jibakus post, If that is actually possibly due to the japenise glitch, why do we even have illegal movesets? It's just something the developers forgot to fix right? kinda like the emerald glitch right?
 
Another illegal combo that is actaully listed in the analysis as an option (last I checked) is Hypnosis/Baton Pass Rapidash. Baton Pass is an XD move and Hypnosis is an egg move.

So that some gay noob on Shoddy doesn't beat you in Ladder Matches because he is abusing stuff like NP+Tri Attack Togekiss or Belly Jet Azumarill.
 
Another illegal combo I recall is Froslass or Glalie with Spikes + Disable. Shame as well too since Disable actually gives them a chance to setup spikes.
