@rice: I use Specsed Fire Blast / HP Fighting / Air Slash / Sleep Talk with Modest Max Sp.Atk/Max Spd myself.

If its health is odd, with no sandstorm or anything, then it'll survive two switch ins with 1 health left.
 
I need a difinitive answer for this (like someone has actually tested it or something)... If I breed a Ditto from a Europeon version of a game w/ an american poke, will the everstone trick work? wasn't sure if it just had to be the same language or what...
 
If they are both from an English-language game, it should work. The game does not differentiate between region (on the Pokemon data) except for whether it's JAP, ENG, FRA, ITA, GER, SPA (Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish).

This is just "AFAIK" though. I've never tested it, but those are the only ways to set region in, say, Pokesav.

jimbo422 - I've read that its not supposed to matter. All my ADV carts are EU, and my DS carts US. My anecdotal opinion is that ditto from EU ADV don't work on the US DS carts. I have wondered if we've missed something - that perhaps Emerald Ditto are different to RSFRLG Ditto, and that has made for inconsistent results*, but I have nothing to support this. If you do some testing, it would be nice to know which ADV you used.

There's a GTS glitch which is rather unreliable and involves turning off the power at the correct instant, and then there's the AR method which is 100% reliable if you don't do something horribly dumb.

People who don't clone themselves:
1. Have no AR
2. Can't work the GTS method reliably.

you forgot 1 reason: most people are too lazy to try to work the GTS glitch, like me. lol

I read the Linoone analysis, and the preferred nature is Gluttony, but is it random if the nature changes when it's Pal-Parked over? (Kinda like Magic Guard Softboiled Clefable)
 
@ Venom: I wasn't planning on using it on Skarmory. Just stuff like Forretress and Scizor.

I was breeding Magnemites, and I got a Timid one with HP Fire 68. Its speed IV is 30, so it has a chance to outspeed Adamant Metagross. That's why I was asking. Should I keep it, or breed a better one? BTW, Its special attack and HP IVs are also 30. Defenses are crap though...

Its movepool is: TBolt, HP Fire, Magnet Rise (?), Substitute
