Yes. It makes a HUGE difference. When playing with your friends, how often did you use the tournament mode? I know that when I was playing with decently large groups we always used the regular vs mode. It was quicker and easier to use than a tournament mode for getting people to play, and didn't require you to reset stuff every so many matches. You just swapped out one or two controllers each match.
Although tbh I don't find this mode that useful, since everyone likes playing with their own controller, rather than on some shared controller(s). I don't see myself or my friends using this mode pretty much ever.
Personally I'm really liking this update. I have 2 brothers, and when people come over there is usually more than 4 guys in total.
...I just hope that there is a "random out" option. Because "loser out" is a bit unfair to the people who suck and "winner out" is just stupid..... I mean why would you want to win if you have to give up your controller?

I'm not talking about tournament. I'm talking about Loser Out / Winner Out. They were not the same as Tournament. It functioned exactly as it is described on the Dojo.

Ice climbers arrangement rocks, is way better than the DK song (which i liked as well).
Also did you noticed the battle theme of Ruby & Sapphire will be a song in the game? (screen with pkmn stadium); i hope they did a good arrangement of that song :D.

Nope, but on the 15th (Sunday?) CoroCoro magazine has planned to reveal "something" about Brawl.
Word on the street (internet street =P) is that they will be revealing the full roster.
Lets just wait and see...
After reading more into it I'm beginning to doubt that..... it might just be a dojo rehash... but as you said we'll see shortly :P .
It's pretty cool to see the menus, but I kind of wish that they were more relevant to the game.

Remember now, that is just some of the songs. There might be more!
In fact, I can almost guarantee you there will be. Didn't sakurai say that there will be (at least) four songs on each stage?
