FPS gaming vest

I don't know how many FPS fans are here on smogon, but I found something that might interest those who play shooter games.

It's a vest you wear while playing shooter games. Every time you get shot or stabbed, you actually get to feel some of the pain. The vest itself is made from 8 pneumatic pouches that rapidly expand and contract, giving you the sensation of being hit. I found it pretty cool, and it definitely increases the immersiveness of the gameplay. Rather than me just explaining, here's the video.

thats interresting lol, but I thought the same about rumbling devices in controllers and that sort of turned stupid after a while.
 
Perhaps its fun in some tactical FPS (Counterstrike and stuff)

But for Deathmatch FPS (Quake), it must just be annoying...

Kinda funny tho.
 
Oh man, now I can feel it when somebody gibs me with a rocket launcher in Unreal Tournament.

I don't think I will enjoy that.
 
Lol, it is a really interesting and annoying idea, I would try it once but it would probably be just plain stupid after a while. I don't really think alot of people will buy it if the pain is bad/annoying. At least they are appealing to the masochist crowd.
 
Wow that sounds like heaps of fun. You gotta make sure everyone's wearing it of course. Play some UT or quake or something fast paced. That would be awesome and would make stuff more freaky like you're standing somewhere then suddenly you're shot. I get so freaked out in CS when I run around a corner and a guy runs at the same time as if he appeared out of nowhere, imagine getting a shock irl from that.

My net's too slow to watch that so a few questions, would is have to have certain ties with games as I can script really well in CS and I can't get it to do nothing when something like getting shot happens and picking up weapons, etc. Also would more HP loss make it hurt you more and what about stuff like headshots, just hurt you more. And would stuff like knives have something poke you?

Really cool idea.
 
Lol, I tried something like this at E for All, same thing made by a different company. It's kinda cool but the novelty wears off and becomes pointless. Just like every other damn accessory I saw there, some of the stupidest things I ever saw.

Still the vest is cool for about 5 minutes.

The only gadget that sorta has a cool point is the 3D glasses, you connect them straight to your PC's video card and put em on.

All of your games pop out of the screen, its really really awesome, but they're a bit pricey.
