Because tbh, in the last 24 hours I started doubting it. Like, his posts of forfeiting felt genuine but it's also easy to fake it being genuine. Then I saw that VC and it pretty much confirmed what I was fearing, for the reasons I posted back then.

If you doubted it in the last 24 hours you had loads of time to say it before deadline. But you waited till too late to voice concerns looks like you were waiting to voice doubts after the flip was already guaranteed to try distance yourself from it?
There's nothing in common between these cases.
Asek was a respected player who could get people to follow him onto me and was a major town threat that I didn't have a lot of choice in dealing with.
OM room is, to be very honest, not even on the threat spectrum. As scum, I just ignore their SR and move on since they could be relied on to be a ML without my involvement.

was also starting to reevaluate when texas got easily sidetracked and was making me think him going "stay the course" with texas wasn't just a matter of obligation

I'm being serious. This is low tier play and I'm surprised to see it from you.
Even if I'm doubting a lynch, I'm not incentivized to stop it if I still think there's a solid chance of the person being scum.
Then expressing doubt at the end. That's such a scum 101 thing that everyone knows that it lacks any significance at higher play. It was my moment of "oh fuck, okay then" but if I'm scum, then I know it's scummy. If I'm town, I also know it's scummy so I don't care. It's just WIFOM.
