Necrozma [QC 1/3]

[OVERVIEW]

  • Necrozma has good offensive stats that allow it to deal a respectable amount of damage to a large majority of the metagame - successfully knocking out common threats such as Charizard-Mega-X and Tapu Fini.
  • It has has reasonable bulk, and its ability, Prism Armor, greatly increases its effectiveness as a wall. Even without its ability, Necrozma has the ability to tank Charizard-Mega-X's Outrage, Lopunny-Mega's Giga Impact, Garchomp's Z-Earthquake, and Zeraora's Charge-boosted Plasma Fists with little investment.
  • With strong STAB options that allow it to deal major damage to neutral Pokémon, and a wide range of coverage moves, Necrozma has the capability to super-effectively hit a large portion of the metagame. However, Necrozma's utility as a sweeper is limited by the lack of stellar offensive stats, which causes it to be reliant on having the correct coverage moves in order to win certain matchups. It also has good status moves, which make it a viable stall Pokémon.
  • With the proper investment, Necrozma is best run as a slow offensive set, or a slow defensive set. Fast sets are not as effective, due to the necessity of a Choice Scarf and large speed investment, reducing its offensive and defensive capabilities.

Moves
========
  • Prismatic Laser is the main move of choice, easily OHKOing major threats in the metagame, such as Charizard-Mega-X, Kommo-o, and Tapu Fini. It also knocks out pretty much anything it hits super-effectively, as well as a vast majority of those it does not.
  • Photon Geyser is helpful when Necrozma isn't able to OHKO an opponent. It also helps in breaking Substitutes that would otherwise force Necrozma to waste a turn recharging. Photon Geyser's secondary effect allows it to ignore enemy abilities, helping in matchups against most Sturdy Pokémon (Sawk, FEAR, Crustle, etc). It can be replaced to improve Necrozma's coverage, but leaves it vulnerable to Pokémon it cannot OHKO.
  • Signal Beam is one of Necrozma's primary coverage moves, allowing it to hit Psychic and Dark types that aren't affected by Photon Geyser and Prismatic Laser. Signal Beam can OHKO Hoopa-Unbound if Necrozma survives the first hit, while netting a 2HKO on physically-defensive variants of Mew.
  • Heat Wave allows Necrozma to hit Pokémon such as Celesteela, Kartana, Genesect, and Ferrothorn, and its secondary burn chance is capable of crippling physical attackers such as Mawile-Mega and Metagross-Mega.
  • Hyper Voice is another move that can be run, but has limited use and reduces Necrozma's coverage. Hyper Voice's only advantage is against Substitute-spammers like Lopunny-Mega and Whimsicott.
  • Psyshock allows Necrozma to get past specially-bulky Pokémon like Calm Mind Tapu Fini, Chansey, and Tapu Lele that otherwise wall Necrozma. However, this is recommended only if a teammate that can handle Dark-type Pokémon is run.
  • Hidden Power Ice is another coverage move that Necrozma can run. Its primarily usage lies in the guaranteed KO of Pokémon 4x weak to Ice moves that otherwise force Substitute predictions, such as Garchomp, Landorus-Therian, and Zygarde.
Set Details
========
  • The 232 HP EVs allow Necrozma to survive Fake Out + Giga Impact from Lopunny, Aerilate-boosted Giga Impact from Pinsir-Mega, and Fake Out into Z-Plasma Fists from Zeraora. However, Charge-boosted Z-Plasma Fists Zeraora can still knock it out.
  • 32 EVs in SpD allow Necrozma to tank Choice Specs Hydro Cannon from Greninja and Z-Draco Meteor from Timid Naganadel, and 8 excess EVs are added here to maximize bulk (if Hyper Voice is run).
  • Prism Armor is a good ability for Necrozma, allowing it to weather Dark Pulses from Greninja without much of a problem, and also allows Necrozma to survive a Bug Buzz from Choice Scarf Genesect.
  • 236 EVs with a Modest nature allow Necrozma to 2HKO both common variants of Lopunny-Mega with Hyper Voice, and since Necrozma can tank a Giga Impact and Fake Out, it is almost assured a win against Giga Impact variants of Lopunny-Mega. 244 SpA EVs are not run, since 236 is the highest SpA that Modest Necrozma can run while being guaranteed to not bring Lopunny-Mega to 200-BP Flail range after using Substitute and being hit by a Hyper Voice.
  • 236 SpA EVs are also sufficient to let Necrozma OHKO non-Calm Mind variants of Tapu Fini.
Usage Tips
========
  • Necrozma is best suited for matchups against Pokémon that do not have exceptionally strong STAB moves, or Sturdy-reliant Pokémon (Avalugg, Donphan, Golem, etc).
  • Necrozma has good chances against almost anything that doesn’t outspeed and OHKO. Notable exceptions to this are Gyarados-Mega (which can survive a Signal Beam even in Mega form) and Firium Victini (which can tank an attack and KO with Inferno Overdrive into V-Create).
  • Whenever Necrozma is up against a Lopunny-Mega, the best course of action is to use Hyper Voice. The only exception here is if the opposing Lopunny-Mega uses a non-recharge damaging move (High Jump Kick, Ice Punch, Return, etc) on the first turn. In this case, Photon Geyser should be used to OHKO Lopunny-Mega, otherwise Necrozma will be knocked out on the next turn. It should be noted that always using Photon Geyser allows Necrozma to beat most Lopunny-Mega, but is guaranteed a loss against SubFlail variants.
  • Necrozma also has the capability to defeat Greninja, but must properly predict the set that Greninja is running. Against standard Choiced / Z Protean variants, Necrozma should Signal Beam (which can OHKO Dark and Water-Dark Greninja, and 2HKO most other commonly used types). Against the less-common SubTorrent Greninja, the correct option is to use Hyper Voice on the turn Greninja uses Substitute.
  • Prismatic Laser is the default move against less specially bulky Pokémon, since a 150 BP STAB move hits extremely hard. However, if Necrozma fails to OHKO with Prismatic Laser, it is forced to lose a turn to recharge. Enemies that use Substitute, like Landorus-Therian and Garchomp, take advantage of this, so only use Prismatic Laser if the opponent does not use Substitute and will be knocked out. If Necrozma is up against Pokémon with critical weaknesses to the Ice type, Necrozma can use Hidden Power Ice to avoid playing guessing games.
  • Against bulkier opponents, coverage comes into play - Necrozma fares well in situations where it can deal super-effective damage to an opponent. However, against enemies like Gyarados-Mega and Victini, coverage is not enough, so beware of them.
  • Necrozma is also well-equipped to handle many fast nukes, such as Zeraora, Pinsir-Mega, and Lopunny. However, it can still be knocked out by stronger nukes, like Charizard-Mega-Y and Gardevoir-Mega.
Team Options
========
  • Landorus-Therian is a useful teammate; it handles Gyarados-Mega, Chansey, Aegislash, and many other common checks to Necrozma. In return, Necrozma takes care of special threats to Landorus-Therian; notably handling Greninja and Timid Naganadel.
  • Charizard-Mega-X is also appreciated, since it covers many of the specially-bulky Pokémon that wall Necrozma, like Chansey and Meloetta. Necrozma, meanwhile, can defeat Pokémon like Mega-Altaria, Donphan, Mega-Venusaur and Greninja, which usually trouble Charizard-Mega-X.
  • Pokémon like Gyarados-Mega also prove good teammates due to its wallbreaking capabilities (defeating Sableye-Mega, Slowbro-Mega, Aggron, etc), while appreciating Necrozma's assistance against Pokémon like Tapu Fini and Venusaur-Mega. Meanwhile, teammates like Dragonite prove helpful against threats such as Magnezone, Heatran, and Aegislash.
  • Bulk Up Zeraora also proves a good teammate by covering Steel and Dark types like Magnezone and Gyarados-Mega, along with beating speed traps such as Smeargle. In return, Necrozma defeats Pokémon like Donphan, Altaria-Mega, Charizard-Mega-X, and Kommo-o that trouble it.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============
  • Leppa Berry sets can also be run for PP stalling. They are largely inferior to Berry sets, though, primarily due to not countering anything not already countered by the Berry sets except Jumpluff.
  • Psychium-Z sets also exist, but lack the coverage of the standard Choice Specs sets, and are therefore not as widely used, despite hitting harder.
  • A third option is the Choice Band set, but Necrozma lacks the physical movepool to make proper use of it. In such sets, Photon Geyser, X-Scissor, Shadow Claw, Night Slash, and Outrage are the moves generally run.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Dark types**: Dark-type Pokémon are immune to all damage from stall Necrozma, but must be careful of Signal Beam from Specs Necrozma. Pokémon like Gyarados-Mega completely wall Necrozma with Dragon Dance, while Tyranitar-Mega and Incineroar defeat Specs Necrozma.

**Taunt**: Taunt users like Mew and Gyarados-Mega immediately shut down stall Necrozma if they use in the first two-three turns against stall variants. With only a 60-BP Stored Power to use, Necrozma is unable to afflict reasonable damage, or restore health. However, Specs Necrozma gains a free turn of damage if Taunted.

**Steel types**: Like Dark types, Steel types like Magnezone, Magearna, and Jirachi also wall stall Necrozma, but to a lesser extent, since Necrozma can still boost its defenses and SpA and use a 380-BP Stored Power. However, Specs Necrozma can use coverage moves like Heat Wave to power through Scizor, Kartana, and Mawile-Mega.

**Strong STAB Attackers**: Both sets of Necrozma are susceptible to strong all-out attackers like Charizard-Mega-Y and Gardevoir-Mega, which outspeed and nuke with Blast Burn and Hyper Beam respectively.

I'm just gonna reject this to WIP status right away.
The formatting is wayyyy off, out of order, and a lot of the information presented here is either completely incorrect or irrelevant for one reason or another; an example being how Specs Prismatic Laser OHKOs Zardy, despite the fact that Zardy outspeeds you and nukes with Blast Burn.

Here's a post that will give you the correct formatting of things: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...ons-read-before-posting.3588426/#post-7113521 (look for the hide labeled "importable")

Be sure to do more research into the inner workings of each matchup example you provide in order to make sure the win is legitimate, else you'll be giving the QC-ers a lot of work to do when it comes time for the actual qc checks. Take a look at other 1v1 analyses in here to see how things are done, with regards to describing things and providing examples to make your analysis a lot more flushed out.

You should also change the title of the thread to "Necrozma [WIP]" to reflect the incomplete status of the analysis. The button to do this can be found next to the "Unwatch" button near the top of the page.

A few things to do:
  1. Proofread. make sure everything makes sense before you post it, give it a read out loud and see if everything makes sense.
  2. Make sure you covered everything you bring up and explain it. This includes all moves, and certain EV allocations.
  3. Make sure your "special" and "physical" wording lines up. Example: Prismatic Laser can also OHKO many defensive Pokémon, including Zygarde-Complete, Porygon-Z, and Swampert-Mega.
  4. Much more elaboratino is needed all around. There is a lot of work to do here and QC would appreciate it if we didn't have to do it for you.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Necrozma has great offensive and defensive capabilities, as well as a good Special movepool. rather than keeping both of these points in one sentence, branch them out into two; one for its offensive capabilities and one for its defensive capabilities. Be sure to provide relevant examples of Pokemon it beats by going offensive/defensive
  • With STAB Prismatic Laser and Photon Geyser, and great coverage options like Heat Wave, Signal Beam, Dark Pulse, and Charge Beam paired with a useful Status movepool including Calm Mind, Iron Defense, Morning Sun, and Moonlight, Necrozma has an incredible useful variety of moves. Since this is the overview, we don't need to get into particular moves, just say powerful STABs and a wide variety of coverage options
  • It also has the ability to tank a large portion of the 1v1 metagame and KO back. However, its mediocre Speed and lack of reliable recovery leave it vulnerable to Pokémon like Deoxys-Speed and Zygarde-Complete. This could be the sentence about its defensive capabilities I mentioned above, be sure to move the point about Speed to its own separate sentence, though. Outlining flaws should ideally be kept separate from outlining key aspects. Also make sure to bring up what its lacking Speed and other stats give it a disadvantage against (not Deoxys Speed since that outspeeds everything :blobglare:)
  • In 1v1, people will have to click the "1v1" label for this pokemon's 1v1 analysis in order to read this; mentioning that it's 1v1 is redundant. the primary sets run are Bulky Choice Specs and stall. It fulfils both roles rather well, but is outclassed by Slowbro-Mega and Venusaur-Mega as a wall, and Greninja as a Choice Specs user. It does, however, have some niches over all three. Don't compare viability in analyses. Also, when mentioning viable item/set choices in the overview, you should ideally outline how the sets work and what group of Pokemon the set is ideal for handling (ie Specs blowing through offensive pokes while Berry sets up to handle stall).

Moves
========
  • Prismatic Laser is the main move of choice, easily OHKOing major threats in the metagame, such as Charizard-Mega-X, Porygon-Z, Kommo-o, Tapu Fini, Tapu Lele, and Zeraora. It also knocks out pretty much anything it hits super-effectively, as well as a vast majority of those it does not. Porygon-Z nukes you before you can nuke back, and Lele uses Calm Mind to live. Also make sure to keep examples down to 5 or less, don't need to go overboard.
  • Photon Geyser is used for two purposes: to attack Pokémon that rely on their ability as a defense (FEAR, Donphan, Aggron, and the occasional Shedinja), and to have a spammable strong STAB move. Sturdy doesn't matter in the Aggron matchup. Also make sure to mention that it's useful for breaking Substitutes from Pokemon like Landorus-T and Pinsir, since "a spammable strong STAB move" doesn't exactly outline what it's useful for, which is the entire purpose of an analysis.
  • Signal Beam is the main coverage move, netting an OHKO on Dark-type Greninja and a 2HKO on Gyarados-Mega, while hitting Hoopa-Unbound Hoopa gets OHKO'd by Signal Beam, though it also OHKOs you first, with Specs/Band and Mew for significant damage. Alternatively, Heat Wave and Earth Power can be run for coverage on pesky Steel-types that otherwise wall Necrozma. Make this its own bullet, and also mention which mons Heat Wave and Earth Power help for in particular, rather than a generic "Steel types".
  • Hyper Voice allows Necrozma to circumvent Substitute-spammers, such as Whimsicott, Jumpluff, Riolu, and SubFlail Lopunny, while Charge Beam lets Necrozma set up walls and hit Pokémon such as Celesteela and Heatran. Make this its own bullet as well, and also Heatran KOs you before you can KO it, so don't mention it. You also have no reason to use Charge Beam over Heat Wave against Celesteela. (Charge Beam in general is kinda useless, perhaps consider dropping it completely)
  • Photon Geyser can also be substituted with another coverage move, but sacrifices longevity and the ability to defeat Sturdy Pokémon. leave this in with the bullet for Photon Geyser.
Set Details
========
  • 232 EVs in HP allow Necrozma to counter Fake Out plus Giga Impact Lopunny, Aerilate-boosted Giga Impact Pinsir-Mega, and Fake Out + Z-Plasma Fists from Jolly Zeraora. Paired with 32 SpD EVs, Necrozma is guaranteed to survive a hit from even Specs Hydro Cannon Greninja. and Naganadel
  • Prism Armor is a good ability for Necrozma, allowing it to weather unboosted Crunches from Gyarados-Mega Crunch 2HKOs you while you fail to OHKO it and Dark Pulses from Greninja without much of a problem, and also allows Necrozma to survive a Bug Buzz speed-invested Choice Scarf, since Specs KOs. Be sure not to mince words. Genesect.
  • 240 EVs with a Modest nature hit Lopunny-Mega for a guaranteed 2HKO with Hyper Voice without allowing Flail to reach 200BP. And to OHKO non-Calm Mind Tapu Fini as reliably as possible.
  • Be sure to outline item selection here, as well, and bring up examples of what it needs the particular item for
Usage Tips
========
  • Necrozma is best suited for matchups against Pokémon that do not have exceptionally strong STAB moves, or ability-reliant Pokémon You lose to just about every other "ability reliant Pokemon", just say Sturdy. (Avalugg, Donphan, Golem, etc).
  • Necrozma has good chances against almost anything that doesn’t outspeed and OHKO such as?. Notable exceptions to this are Gyarados-Mega (which can survive a Signal Beam even in Mega form) and Victini (which can 2HKO Necrozma with V-Create, but must be wary of Earth Power).
  • Hyper Voice allows Necrozma to 2HKO any Lopunny while avoiding 200BP Flail, and hits through Substitute for pesky Whimsicott and Jumpluff. You already covered this in moves
  • Prismatic Laser can be spammed in matchups against Pokémon that lack significant Special bulk such as?, while Photon Geyser is more useful against Pokémon that can take a hit or two. such as?
  • Whenever using Prismatic Laser, Necrozma must be wary of Substitute, since the foe gets a free turn to setup if Necrozma recharges. What relevant Pokemon can you expect to see Substitute from?
Team Options
========
  • Necrozma is walled by Steel types if not carrying Heat Wave or Earth Power, so Donphan and Landorus are useful to counter Pokémon like Magnezone, Heatran, Magearna, and Mawile. Charizard-Mega-X is also appreciated, since it covers many of the Pokémon that wall Necrozma. move this to its own bullet. Also, what does Necrozma do for Donphan and Landorus in return? Also, which Landorus?
  • Pokémon like Dragonite and Gyarados-Mega also prove good teammates due to their wallbreaking capabilities Which walls do they break down that Necrozma struggles with?, while appreciating Necrozma's assistance against Pokémon like Tapu Fini, Venusaur-Mega, and Primarina.
  • Zeraora also proves a good teammate by covering Steel and Dark types, along with beating speed traps give names, not types or set titles. In return, Necrozma defeats most Scarf users like Darmanitan, Diggersby keep examples B rank and above, ideally, and Porygon-Z PZ kills you way too often, Timid and otherwise that trouble it.

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves
========
  • Iron Defense and Calm Mind allow Necrozma to set up physical and special defenses respectively , while simultaneously building up stat boosts for Stored Power. Each move gets their own bullet, don't mix them unless one move basically requires the usage of another; in this case, Stored Power requiring the usage of Iron Defense and/or CM. Also be sure to bring up what in particular Iron Defense helps for.
  • Moonlight allows Necrozma to preserve its health. Morning Sun can also be run, since it has the same effect. What is this good for over something like, say, Recycle or Rest?
  • Stored Power amasses power boosts every time Necrozma increases its defenses, and can reach a maximum of 380 BP. What is it good for over a possible alternative STAB? And as always, provide examples of mons it helps for beating.
Set Details
========
  • Since Necrozma is stalling, it greatly appreciates all the bulk it can get. Obviously. But what does it need the bulk for? Why not run physically defensive?
  • Iron Defense boosts Def by +2, while Calm Mind boosts SpD by only +1. Because of this, Necrozma has more EVs in SpD than Def. This is not a good reason. You need to bulk for something tangible. Being specially defensive because "spdef good" tells the reader virtually nothing. Also combine with the above bullet.
  • 248 HP EVs maximise Necrozma's health, while simultaneously increasing the healing effects of Moonlight. not really? If you mean the 1 hp difference, that really doesn't matter.
  • An Aguav Berry can be used for a one-time HP gain, while Leftovers can be used for gradual recovery every turn. The Aguav Berry is better in matches against bulky attackers such as?, while Leftovers are more suited towards countering enemy stallers. such as?
Usage Tips
========
  • Necrozma is best used as a a setup staller, with good offensive capabilities. But what is the general target you'd want to send in Stored Power Necrozma against? And examples, of course.
  • It has favorable matchups against most stallers and chip attackers, and walls attackers that fail to 2HKO or 3HKO Necrozma. such as?
  • Prism Armor is a great ability for Necrozma, since non-STAB coverage moves like what, and from what? do not deal critical damage. It also allows Necrozma to withstand hits from speed-invested attackers like Scarf Genesect, or Greninja.
Team Options
========
  • Since Necrozma has no way to hit Dark types (mainly Gyarados-Mega and Greninja) and Steel-types (like Magearna and Mawile), it appreciates teammates like Zeraora, Charizard-Mega-X, and Gardevoir-Mega that can handle them. In return, Necrozma hits Pokémon like Donphan, Swampert-Mega, and Naganadel that otherwise pose major threats to the team. Perhaps branch this out a bit more/add more team options
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options
=============
Specs Laser is hitting way harder
  • A third option is the Choice Band set, but Necrozma lacks the physical movepool to make proper use of it. In such sets, Photon Geyser, X-Scissor, Shadow Claw, Night Slash, and Outrage are the moves generally run.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Dark types**: Dark-type Pokémon are immune to all damage from stall Necrozma, but must be careful of Signal Beam from Specs Necrozma. Pokémon like Gyarados-Mega bear in mind you can 2HKO Crunchless with Signal Beam while they fail to 2HKO you completely wall Necrozma with Dragon Dance, while Tyranitar-Mega and Incineroar You don't really kill Incineroar or Tyranitar at all, which means they are very good counters defeat non-Earth Power Specs Necrozma.

**Taunt**: Taunt immediately shuts down stall Necrozma if used in the first two-three turns. With only a 60-BP Stored Power to use, Necrozma is unable to afflict reasonable damage, or restore health. However, Specs Necrozma gains a free turn of damage if Taunted. What uses Taunt that it has to fear?

**Steel types**: Like Dark types, Steel types also wall stall Necrozma, but to a lesser extent, since Necrozma can still boost its defenses and SpA and use a 380-BP Stored Power. However, Specs Necrozma can use coverage moves like Earth Power and Heat Wave to power through Steel-type opponents. Are these really a check or a counter, then? If so, then name some examples.

**Strong STAB Attackers**: Both sets of Necrozma are susceptible to strong all-out attackers like Charizard-Mega-Y The special defense is run specifically for zardY and Gardevoir-Mega and Porygon-Z, which outspeed and nuke with Blast Burn and Hyper Beam respectively.

**Sturdy Pokémon**: Sturdy Pokémon wall Specs Necrozma if it doesn't have Photon Geyser You presented this as a move it should always have in the set, rendering this section kind of null, unless you plan on making it into a coverage move. Even then, certain Pokémon, such as Magnezone and Aggron, can survive a Photon Geyser and proceed to knock it out with Metal Burst and Electroweb into Gigavolt Havoc, respectively. Stall Necrozma, however, is relatively unaffected by these. Stall Necrozma still loses to Taunt and Metal Sound from both

Definitely a few issues with fact-checking the reliability of wins, as well as an overall lack of examples everywhere. When you feel like you've done a sufficient job implementing these, let me know and I'll look it all over once again. After that, if it's good, I'll give you your 1/3.

Feel free to look at other analyses done here to get an idea of how to go about writing. I think my own analysis on Dragonite (which has yet to get any QCs >n>) can serve as a good example of how you should go about structuring your points (link)

I should be able to. My dad's letting me use his laptop, so it should be done by Saturday, when I get back. If there's anything left, I'll complete it on Sunday in my zone, so it should be ready.

Okay, I've completed the first two parts (Overview and Specs set). I'll do the last bit (Checks, Counters, and Other Options) after Stall is complete. Could the first two parts be QCed?

They basically already were qced. Take Osra’s old check and implement everything besides stall

I think I did. Also, Other Options uses references from all sets (for comparison), so it would probably be better if I added that after the Stall one was complete. osra, mind checking it over?

Hold on. You need to just straight up remove stall, not strikethrough it out. You also need to keep Checks and counters and other options, you can't just not include those. Just write it as if you don't know stall exists

we will handle the stall set at a seperate point. You need to finish this analysis first, publish it, and then stall necrozma will be added later

One note we talked about in qc chat was the notion of making Specs' moves into:
Prismatic Laser
Photon Geyser
Heat Wave
Psyshock / HP Ice / Signal Beam

Heat Wave being deemed much more essential than any other coverage move
Earth Power being deemed nigh useless
Psyshock hitting mons like Tapu Lele, Audino, Clefable, and Calm Mind Fini
HP Ice hitting mons like Garchomp, Zygarde, and Landorus without playing guessing games between Sub or not

You also didn't name any Steel or Dark mons that Zeraora covers in Team Options

Wouldn't Psyshock be better as an alternative to Photon Geyser? If it replaces a coverage, Necrozma'll end up with three Psychic moves.

Psyshock IS coverage. It is not an alternative to its main Psychic moves because it is only useful for Pokemon that it could not beat without Psyshock.

Still, at that point, it would have three Psychic moves and a Fire move. Sacrificing even one of it's coverage types means losing a lot of important matchups (Greninja, SubFlail Lopunny-Mega, Crunchless MGyara, certain Mew variants, almost everything it beats using type advantages) for a total of three Pokémon, one of which barely even sees usage anymore.

You're not beating all of those Pokemon with a single move, though.

You 50/50 Greninja and Gyarados with Signal Beam, as well as beat Nasty Plot Genesis Supernova Mew.
You beat Lopunny with Hyper Voice if you know the set, as well as Whimsicott and Jumpluff.
You more reliably beat Garchomp, Landorus, and Zygarde with HP Ice.
You beat Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini (questionably), and Audino with Psyshock, as well as 50/50 Clefable.

Each of these moves accomplish a small niche of different things. Just because you feel uncomfortable running 3 Psychic moves at once doesn't mean that the coverage isn't doing its job.

Sorry, been meaning to get back on this. I've had a rather hectic schedule recently, with the college stuff, but the choices are being locked at 5 PM IST on 25th June, so I should be free after then.
Hope to complete it by the end of the week.

236 EVs with a Modest nature allow Necrozma to 2HKO both common variants of Lopunny-Mega, and since Necrozma can tank a Giga Impact and Fake Out, it is almost assured a win against Giga Impact variants of Lopunny-Mega. 244 SpA EVs are not run on Hyper Voice sets, since 236 is the highest SpA that Modest Necrozma can run while being guaranteed to not bring Lopunny-Mega to 200-BP Flail range after using Substitute and being hit by a Hyper Voice. If Hyper Voice is not being run, 232/244/32 is the preferred EV distribution.
Unless the extra 8 spa makes a difference for other matchups, this can be removed.
Charizard-Mega-X is also appreciated, since it covers many of the Pokémon that wall Necrozma, such as Aggron, Dragonite, and Zygarde. Necrozma, meanwhile, can defeat Pokémon like Mega-Altaria, Donphan, Mega-Venusaur and Greninja, which usually trouble Charizard-Mega-X.
Generally, zardx beats none of these besides aggron without rock moves.
Pokémon like Dragonite and Gyarados-Mega also prove good teammates due to their wallbreaking capabilities (defeating Sableye-Mega, Slowbro-Mega (for Gyarados-Mega), Aggron, etc), while appreciating Necrozma's assistance against Pokémon like Tapu Fini and Venusaur-Mega.
Dragonite beats none of these reliably
Bulk Up Zeraora also proves a good teammate by covering Steel and Dark types like Magnezone, Incineroar
Physical Zeraora isn't very reliable vs Incineroar, if it even wins at all
**Dark types**: Dark-type Pokémon are immune to all damage from stall Necrozma, but must be careful of Signal Beam from Specs Necrozma. Pokémon like Gyarados-Mega completely wall Necrozma with Dragon Dance, while Tyranitar-Mega and Incineroar defeat non-Earth Power Specs Necrozma.
Tyranitar and Incineroar still beat you regardless of Earth Power, also Earth Power shouldn't be anywhere in the analysis.

No examples of notable Taunt users or Steel types are provided here.
**Sturdy Pokémon**: Sturdy Pokémon wall Specs Necrozma if it doesn't have Photon Geyser. Even then, certain Pokémon, such as Magnezone and Aggron, can survive a Photon Geyser and proceed to knock it out with Metal Burst and Electroweb into Gigavolt Havoc, respectively. Stall Necrozma, however, is relatively unaffected by these.
This is misleading, since Necrozma beats a vast majority of Sturdy Pokemon.
