I just started breeding again and some people have expressed interest in my pokes, but, since I'm breeding on D/P and not Emerald, I have no easy way to clone my guys (the Wi-Fi glitch doesn't work very well). I want to keep my game as legit as possible, so no AR on my cartridge.

However, one of my old roommates has a flash card and used it to give me some TMs a few months ago. Is there a way for me to use that to clone my guy? Or will it hack my stuff?
 
I have a question for people who use AR.
If I used a code where it automatically leveled my pokemon up to level 100, would its stats be correct, as if I had force fed 99 rare candies (for a level 1)
down its throat?

Is it nessisary for my Magnezone to have 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe?

I was wanting to have Thunder Wave and Magnet Rise, which leaves out Substitute. So does it really need all that HP?

It achieves 219 with 252 speed EVs and a neutral nature (which is what mine has).
My Tyranitar has a 25 speed IV with 252 EVs in speed, which makes it have 215 speed.

So, my Magnezone would be ideal to have at least 216 in Speed in order to outrun my own Tyranitar in Doubles (my friends are crazy about double battles.. pffth. It'd go great with TTar though), and then I'd put whatever's left in HP.

Would that be the right thing to do? I'm not sure, which is why I'm asking. :)

Are you one of those no ar clone people? If not you can get a cloner to clone for you. If you are...keep practising GTS. =P

You can use AR cheats (including the Cloning code) on a R4.

But of course, this guy could be a dick too and use Pokésav to not only copy, but edit somehow. Well, maybe he doesn't know the Pokésav cloning problems...

But probably, your friend already has the code, so he'll clone as safe as an Ar would do.

Well, I'm pretty sure he's not a dick, as I lived with him for over a year, and he has no reason to mess with my dudes. I asked him what he would do and he said he would just connect his card to the computer and make a copy of the game with my traded guys on it, and then just copy it back to the card after trading them to me (this is how he gave me my extra Grass Knot and Stealth Rock TMs). Would this show up as cheating more than an AR code? I don't think either of us want to bother learning the codes.


I don't know anything about Pokesav. Will just opening stuff up in Pokesav mark my guys as cheated or something?

For me, it's just the same as using the AR, as you are using an external device to do it, anyway.
Would this show up as cheating more than an AR code? I don't think either of us want to bother learning the codes. Does he know how to put a cheat database into the R4? I have a .dat cheat file with the cloning code, so he'd just need to put it into the _system_ folder of the R4 and activate the code before starting the game. PM if you want it.

Chronos: I don't really know. I'd just use the Rare Candies anyway. Better safe than sorry.
 
Ok, I need some help... Please, if you can help any way at all, that would be great:

How do you breed for certain Hidden Powers? I know it has something to do with the order of the IVs, but I'm not sure as to what. Specifically, I'm trying to figure out how to get HP Ice and HP Fighting.

Does anyone have any guides or have any advice or info?
