1v1 Celesteela [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

pqs

Banned deucer.
[OVERVIEW]

Celesteela's great bulk, typing, and offensive presence help it to be a beast in the 1v1 metagame. Its diverse movepool with coverage moves such as Fire Blast and Giga Drain allows it to take on many threats in the metagame such as Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, Mega Gyarados, Golem, and Donphan, while its STAB Corkscrew Crash allows it to mow down Fairy-types like Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, Mega Diancie, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Altaria, Togekiss, and non-Babiri Berry Whimsicott. With its Steel / Flying typing, Celesteela has key resistances to common Dragon-, Fairy-, Steel-, and Psychic-type Pokemon such as Dragonite, Magearna, Mega Aggron, and Meloetta. However, many common Fire- and Electric-type threats in the 1v1 metagame are able to OHKO it, such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Zeraora, and Magnezone. Also, Celesteela doesn't have a great Special Attack stat, meaning it has trouble breaking through walls such as Type: Null, even with Metal Sound. Furthermore, Celesteela's lackluster base Speed makes it susceptible to faster Pokemon like Mega Metagross, Mega Lopunny, and, in particular, sleep users like Jumpluff and Mega Gengar.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Metal Sound allows Celesteela to lower the Special Defense of bulkier threats that it wouldn't otherwise be able to KO, such as Magearna, Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, and Z-Celebrate Meloetta. It can also use Z-Metal Sound to bypass Taunt from users like Waterium Z Tapu Fini. Flash Cannon in combination with Steelium Z allows Celesteela to have an easier time with Fairy-, Rock-, and Ice-type Pokemon, such as Mega Gardevoir, Terrakion, and Kyurem. Giga Drain gives Celesteela a better matchup versus Water-types such as Mega Gyarados, Mega Swampert, and Greninja, though almost all Ground- and Rock-types are already beaten by its other moves. Fire Blast is used to beat Grass-, Steel-, and Bug-type Pokemon more easily, including Kartana, non-Thunder Punch Mega Metagross, Genesect, Durant, and Mega Scizor.

Set Details
========

188 HP and 192 Special Defense EVs allow Celesteela to take powerful hits such as a Never-Ending Nightmare follwed by Shadow Sneak from Aegislash and a Choice Specs-boosted Thunderbolt from Genesect while maximizing its physical bulk. 128 Special Attack EVs and a Modest nature allow Celesteela to have as much power as possible. Steelium Z can either boost Flash Cannon's Base Power to 160 or allow Celesteela to boost its Special Attack with Z-Metal Sound.

Usage Tips
========

Send out Celesteela against Pokemon that its coverage moves can threaten; for instance, use Metal Sound against Magearna, Meloetta, Porygon-Z, and Porygon2, Fire Blast against Kartana, Ferrothorn, Aegislash, non-Thunder Punch Mega Metagross, and Genesect, and Giga Drain against Mega Gyarados, Mega Swampert, and Greninja. Send out Celesteela against frail or Steel-weak Pokemon that can be OHKOed by Steelium Z-boosted Flash Cannon such as Tapu Bulu, Tapu Lele, Haxorus, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Diancie, Mega Altaria, Togekiss, and Whimsicott. Use Z-Metal Sound against Taunt users such as Waterium Z Tapu Fini and Kee Berry Mew, as well as against bulkier Pokemon like Magearna, Aegislash, Porygon2, and Mega Swampert, followed by the proper coverage move. However, wallbreakers such as Mega Medicham, Zeraora, and Mega Lopunny will OHKO or 2HKO Celesteela, so you should stray away from using it in matchups that have one or more wallbreakers. Also, be wary of sleep users like Jumpluff or Mega Gengar, as they'll make Celesteela unable to set up or move at all. If you know the opposing Porygon-Z is running Choice Scarf, use Giga Drain followed by Corkscrew Crash to cover for Thunderbolt. If it's running Normalium Z, use Metal Sound followed by Corkscrew Crash.

Team Options
========

Rock-types such as Carracosta and Crustle help Celesteela have an easier time against Fire-type Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X and Y and Victini, while in return Celesteela can take down Grass- and Steel-types such as Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn with its Fire-type coverage, as well as Mold Breaker Pokemon that would OHKO Crustle or Carracosta such as Mega Gyarados and Haxorus. Ground-types like Landorus-T, Garchomp, Golem, and Donphan help versus Fire- and Electric-types that make up a good portion of the metagame and almost always win against Celesteela such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Zeraora, Magnezone, and Heatran, while in return Celesteela can take down the Grass- and Ice-types that these Pokemon usually lose to such as Ferrothorn, Mega Venusaur, and Kyurem. Water-types such as Tapu Fini and Primarina can also be viable assets to your team, as they can take down Fire-type threats that Celesteela is ever so weak to, such as Mega Charizard X and Volcarona, as well as Zygarde-C. In return, Celesteela can beat Grass-types that trouble Tapu Fini and Primarina like Mega Venusaur and Tapu Bulu. Celesteela is a very slow threat compared to others in 1v1, so a fast Pokemon like Greninja, Choice Specs Deoxys-S, or Zeraora can be a viable asset to your team to beat Pokemon like Jumpluff and Mega Gengar; in return, Celesteela can take harder hits that these faster, more glass cannon-like Pokemon aren't capable of handling such as a Supersonic Skystrike or Devastating Drake from Dragonite or a Never-Ending Nightmare from Aegislash.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========

A Leech Seed + Protect set can be utilized to stall out opposing Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny and Substitute Primarina. A Choice Specs set with Air Slash instead of Metal Sound allows all of Celesteela's moves to become more powerful to beat stronger targets such as Mega Lopunny, Kommo-o, Guardian of Alola Tapu Fini, and Serperior, although not having the ability to use Metal Sound causes Celesteela to lose out on matchups such as Porygon-Z and Meloetta.

Checks and Counters
================

**Electric-types**: Celesteela can't hit Electric-types for much damage, and most just OHKO it with a super effective move; such Pokemon include Magnezone, Zeraora, Magneton, Raikou, Zapdos, and Mega Ampharos.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types can easily OHKO Celesteela with their super effective moves. Examples include Mega Charizard X and Y, Heatran, Victini, Incineroar, Mega Blaziken, Volcarona, Volcanion, Rotom-H, Alolan Marowak, Delphox, and Darmanitan.

**Wallbreakers**: Some Taunt users can win against Celesteela if it can't win even after using Z-Metal Sound to bypass the Taunt. Examples of these Pokemon include Amnesia Mew and Deoxys-S. Mega Sableye reflects Taunt and easily stalls Celesteela, while Type: Null can use Confide against Celesteela, rendering its attacks useless.

**Sleep Users**: Jumpluff, Vivillon, and Mega Gengar can easily put Celesteela to sleep and either stall it out or KO it with powerful STAB attacks.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Celesteela's great bulk of more than 100 in HP, Defense, and Special Defense helps this beast be a great foe in the 1v1 metagame.
  • Though Celesteela may look like it can take attacks but can't hit back, access to moves like Fire Blast, Giga Drain, and much more opens up many more opportunities for what Celesteela can do. Reword this to say Celesteela has a good movepool with access to moves like Fire Blast and Giga Drain that enables it to be able to take on Fire- and Water-types such as a and b.
  • Add about Metal Sound and what enables Celesteela to beat.
  • Celesteela's Steel / Flying type combination allows it to mow down Grass- or Fairy- type threats easily.
  • Add the cons to, here is an outline :x
  • Weakness to Fire-types, Electric-types
  • Strong wallbreakers like Mega Cham and strong z-moves
  • Taunt users like Tapu Fini shuts down metal sound
  • occa berry Whimsicott and Sleep users
[SET]
name: Metal Sound + Steelium Z

move 4: Fire Blast

evs: 236 HP / 252 SpA / 20 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Metal Sound allows Celesteela to drop down the Special Defense of bulkier threats that wouldn't allow Celesteela to KO it otherwise. Add examples
  • Flash Cannon is used in combination with Steelium Z for massive damage after Metal Sound is used. This allows Celesteela to have an easier time with Fairy-types, Rock-types, and Ice-typed Pokemon. such as Mega Gardevoir, Golem, and Kyurem.
  • Giga Drain gives Celesteela a better match up versus Water-types, examples include Mega Gyarados, Mega Swampert, and Greninja if it doesn't change types with Protean before you hit it.
  • Fire Blast is used to beat Grass-types, Steel-types, and Bug-typed Pokemon easier, examples of these include Ferrothorn and Genesect.
Set Details
========

  • 20 Special Defense EVs allows opposing Genesects not to get the Special Attack Download boost when sent out versus Celesteela. Along with that 236 HP allows Celesteela to tank a non-Download boosted Choice Specs Thunderbolt and return with a OHKO Fire Blast.
  • 252+ cut the plus Special Attack EVs and a Modest nature is dumped there to allow Celesteela to have as much power as possible. I reworded this just to make the sentence flow with the changes.
Usage Tips
========

  • Use Celesteela against threats that can't do much supplementary damage in return, more or less types that it resists, such as Grass-types or Bug-types. examples are needed here
  • Add a part about sending Celesteela against Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Mega Gardevoir.
  • Also add a part about Rock-types like Golem and Mega tyrantiar and how Celesteela can beat these.
  • Celesteela can be used versus set-up Pokemon like Magearna or Mega Slowbro with Metal Sound. I would go inro more detail about this, like Metal Sound for the first two turns then finish them off with Fire Blast and Giga Drain.
  • If you see a 4x weak to Fire- Pokemon like Genesect and Ferrothorn, use Celesteela to catch them off guard and use Fire Blast.
  • Strong z-moves
  • Add about being careful around Mega Medicham as Fake Out into High Jump Kick has a high chance of KOing it.
  • Add about Pokemon that pressure Celesteela during preview like Electric-types, Fire-types etc
  • Add the mu about Taunt users and how Celesteela can use Z-metal Sound to bypass this and gain a Special Attack boost.
  • Maybe be wary about sleep users like Mega Gengar and Jumpluff as you win if they miss, but lose if they make Celesteela fall alseep.
Team Options
========

  • Rock-types such as Carracosta and Crustle help Celesteela have an easier life versus both Mega Charizard X and Y, Porygon-Z, and other threats. What does Celesteela do for these in return?
  • Talk about Water-types like Tapu Fini as these help with Fire-types like Mega Charizards while Manaphy can help more so with Heatran and Victini.
  • Add a part about Ground-types like Landorus-T, Garchomp and Zygarde as these help with most Fire- and Electric-types
  • Celesteela is a very slow threat compared to others in 1v1, so fast Pokemon like Greninja, Deoxys-Speed, Zeraora or Mega Lopunny can be a viable asset to your team. Explan why these Pokemon are helpful to Celesteela and what Celesteela can do in return for these.
  • Physical Attackers in general help Celesteela as it is a Special Attacker and Physical Attackers could cover more Specially Defensive oriented Pokemon. I am confused, but if this goes with above combine it and give examples.
Other Options:
========
  • A Leech Seed + Protect based Celesteela set can be utilized to stall out opposing Pokemon, examples include Mega Lopunny and Primarina.
  • Choice Specs Celesteela allows all of Celesteela's moves to become more powerful to beat stronger targets. Talk about what Pokemon Celesteela can now beat because of the extra power and what mus it now loses.
  • Maybe Air Slash for Grass-types like Mega Venusaur

Checks and Counters
================

**Electric Types**: Celesteela can't really hit Electric-types and most just OHKO you with a super-effective move, such as Magnezone, Zeraora and Magneton.

**Fire Types**: Most Fire-types, with their super-effective moves can OHKO Celesteela with without any chance of fighting back. Examples of these Fire-types include Charizard-Mega-X, Charizard-Mega-Y, Victini and Mega Blaziken.

Add a section about Sleep abusers such as Jumpluff and Mega Gengar

**Taunt-Wallbreakers**: Since Celesteela needs to set up Metal Sound versus most Pokemon, most Taunt-users can win against Celesteela. Examples of this include Kee Berry Mew and Tapunium Z Tapu Fini.

Bolded is additions, strikethrough is stuff that should be removed, underline needs to be edited in some way, red is comments. All information I bring are based on 1630 Usage stats (considering anything at or above 6% as of September 2019 usage relevant) and Calcs.

This will need some work

  • Celesteela's Steel / Flying type combination allows it to mow down Grass- or Fairy- type threats easily. no, its the moves that let it do that. combine this point in the above point, add Grass and Fairy examples
  • mention metal sound and what it can do, specifically how it can either be used to soften up an opponent for Corkscrew or be used to boost Celesteela's damage output for its coverage and bypass taunt
  • Although what is above stated, many common Fire- and Electric-type threats in the 1v1 metagame are either able to OHKO it, such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Zeraora, and Magnezone.
  • Taunt users like Tapu Fini can shut down Celesteela's approach to netting OHKOs / KOs using Metal Sound. this point is really, really bad. The whole point of Celesteela is that it can beat taunt users. Tapu Fini can beat Celesteela with GoA, not taunt; in fact, if it taunts, it dies
  • mention that it is not the most offensive, and has trouble against faster Pokemon it can't OHKO immediately that also can 2HKO it
  • mention that its slow and therefore susceptible to sleep users

  • Metal Sound allows Celesteela to drop down the Special Defense of bulkier threats that wouldn't allow Celesteela to KO it otherwise, mainly not accurate, its used for a bunch of other stuff, not mainly these ones Magearna, Aegislash, Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, and Z-Celebrate Meloetta. Usage Tips
========

  • Use Celesteela against threats that can't do much supplementary damage in return, more or less types that it resists, such as Grass-types or Bug-types, like Ferrothorn or Mega Scizor. mmk no. Celesteela should be used against threats that its coverage moves can threaten, or frail mons KOed by steelium, or stall mons that are threatened by Z-Metal Sound. These would be Mega Gyara, tapu fini, Genesect, greninja, Haxorus, Tapu Lele, and Mega Gardevoir. Fix this point
  • Send Celesteela against common Fairy-types in the metagame like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Bulu.

**Sleep abusers** Mainly Jumpluff and Mega Gengar can easily put Celesteela to sleep then use their corresponding moves to win the matchup in their favor.

you also need to fix some of the run on sentences you've written here.

Also pls get rid of the phrase 'examples include', at least when its connected by a comma, thats a run on sentence.

Tag me when this is implemented and I'll look over

in set details, you need to include that you live a Never Ending Nightmare into a Shadow Sneak from Aegislash

In Usage Tips, mention the PZ matchup more. If you know its Scarf, use Giga Drain into Corkscrew, to cover for Tbolt. If you know its normalium, Z metal sound into flash cannon

after that, Qc 1/3

[OVERVIEW]

  • Celesteela's great bulk, typing, and offensive presence helps this beast be a great foe in the 1v1 metagame.
  • Celesteela has a good movepool with coverage moves like Fire Blast and Giga Drain to to take on many threats in the metagame such as Ferrothorn, Scizor-Mega, Golem, Donphan, and Mega Gyarados, it's STAB Corkscrew Crash allows it to mow down Fairy-types like Tapu Bulu and Mega Diancie.
  • Metal Sound allows Celesteela to whittle down threats and then hit them with a very powerful Z-Flash Cannon. Z-Metal Sound can also be used to bypass Taunt and land OHKOs on some Pokemon that you'd use a coverage move on after. While these are all correct, this is more to do with the Set and Moves. • Although what is above stated, Despite this, many common Fire- and Electric-type threats in the 1v1 metagame are either able to OHKO it, such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Zeraora, and Magnezone.
  • Celesteela doesn't have the greatest Special Attack, so it has trouble breaking through walls like Mega Sableye and Type: Null, even with Metal Sound. so it has troubles against faster Pokemon that it can't KO in one turn. Examples include Mega Metagross and Mega Lopunny. move this under the point about its lackluster speed.

  • Metal Sound allows Celesteela to drop down the Special Defense of bulkier threats that wouldn't allow Celesteela to KO it otherwise, Magearna, Z-Conversion Porygon-Z, and Z-Celebrate Meloetta are examples, it can also use Z-Metal Sound to bypass Taunt users like Waterium Tapu Fini.
  • Flash Cannon is used in combination with Steelium Z allowing Celesteela to have an easier time with Fairy- and Ice-typed Pokemon, such as Mega Gardevoir, and Kyurem.
  • Giga Drain gives Celesteela a better match up versus Water- and Ground-types. Examples include Mega Gyarados, Mega Swampert, Donphan, Golem, and Greninja.
  • Fire Blast is used to beat Grass-types, Steel-types, and Bug-typed Pokemon easier, including Ferrothorn, Magearna, Aegislash, Ferrothorn and Genesect. (order of typing)
Set Details
========

  • 188 HP and 192 Special Defense EVs allow Celesteela to take hits from powerful threats such as a Never Ending Nightmare into a Shadow Sneak from Aegislash and a Choice Specs boosted Thunderbolt from Genesect, while maximizing Celesteela's physical bulk.
  • 128 EVs and a Modest Nature are put into its Special Attack to allow Celesteela to have as much power as possible.
  • Steelium Z can both boost Flash Cannon's base power to 160 and whittle down foes while boosting your Special Attack with Z-Metal Sound.
Usage Tips
========
  • Send out Celesteela against Pokemon that its coverage moves can threaten such as Mega Gyarados, Genesect, Greninja, Melotta, and Mega Scizor.
  • Send out Celesteela against frail or Steel-weak Pokemon that can be OHKOed by Steelium-Z boosted Flash Cannon such as Tapu Bulu, Tapu Lele, Haxorus, and Mega Gardevoir.
  • Use Z-Metal Sound against bulkier Pokemon like Magearna, Aegislash, Porygon2, Mega Swampert, Mega Slowbro(a little uncertain with this matchup, i dont think you can ever win this), and Tapu Fini, (you already mention it in the next point) followed by the respective coverage move.
  • Use Z-Metal Sound against Pokemon that will use Taunt such as Waterium Tapu Fini and Kee Berry Mew on you to bypass the move, or bulkier Pokemon that your coverage is more effective against over your regular STAB.
  • Be careful of wall breakers like Mega Medicham, Zeraora, and Mega Lopunny as they can take you down in 1 or 2 hits.
  • Be weary of Sleep-based Pokemon like Jumpluff or Mega Gengar as they'll make you not able to set up or move at all.
  • If you know the opposing Porygon-Z is Choice Scarf, use Giga Drain into Corkscrew Crash to cover for Thunderbolt. If it's Normalium Z, use Metal Sound into Corkscrew Crash.
Team Options
========

  • Rock-types such as Carracosta and Crustle help Celesteela have an easier life versus both Fire-type Pokemon like Mega Charizard X and Y and Victini while in return Celesteela can take down Grass-types and Steel-types with its Fire- coverage, and Mold Breaker Pokemon that would OHKO Crustle or Carracosta. Examples include Scizor-Mega, Ferrothorn, Mega Gyarados, and Haxorus.
  • Ground-types like Landorus-T, Garchomp, Golem, and Donphan help versus Fire-types and Electric-types that make up a good portion of the metagame and almost always win against Celesteela such as Mega Charizard X and Y, Zeraora, Magnezone, and Heatran, while in return Celesteela can take down the Grass- and Ice-types that these Pokemon usually lose to such as Ferrothorn, Mega Venusaur and Kyurem.
  • Water-types such as Tapu Fini and Primarina can also be viable assets to your team as they can take down Fire- threats that Celesteela is ever so weak to, and tank hits from opposing Pokemon very well, such as Mega Charizard X and Y, and Zygarde-Complete. In return, Celesteela can beat Grass-types that Tapu Fini and Primarina are weak to like Mega Venusaur and Tapu Bulu.
  • Celesteela is a very slow threat compared to others in 1v1, so fast Pokemon like Greninja, Choice Specs Deoxys-Speed or Zeraora can be a viable asset to your team for speed control to beat Pokemon like Jumpluff and Mega Gengar, in return, Celesteela can take harder hits that these faster yet more glass-Defense (do you mean glass cannon?) type of Pokemon aren't capable of doing such as a Z-Fly or Z-Outrage from Dragonite or a Z-Shadow Ball from Aegislash.
Other Options:
========
  • A Leech Seed + Protect based Celesteela set can be utilized to stall out opposing Pokemon. Examples include Mega Lopunny and Substitute Primarina.
  • Choice Specs Celesteela with Air Slash instead of Metal Sound allows all of Celesteela's moves to become more powerful to beat stronger targets such as Mega Lopunny, Kommo-o, Guardian of Alola Tapu Fini, and Serperior, though not having the ability to Metal Sound into a very powerful hit loses on a lot of matchups such as Normalium Z Porygon-Z and Meloetta.
  • Air Slash can be used on the Steelium Z set allowing more accuracy against Grass-typed and Bug-typed Pokemon like Mega Venusaur or Serperior (i honestly don't think its worth a mention on the steelium z set, neither of these matchups are affected by air slash. if you're really desperate u can mention mega heracross), but losing the ability to beat Steel-types like Genesect.

Checks and Counters
================

**Taunt-Wallbreakers**: Some Taunt-users can win against Celesteela if it can't win even after using Z-Metal Sound to bypass the Taunt. Examples of this include Amnesia Mew and Deoxys-S. and Tapunium Z Tapu Fini (Tapu fini doesn't win through Taunt, it just outspeeds and 2hkos you). Mega Sableye cannot be Taunted and easily stalls Celesteela, while Type: Null can Confide Celesteela, rendering its attacks redundant.

**Sleep abusers** Mainly Jumpluff and Mega Gengar can easily put Celesteela to sleep then use their corresponding moves to win the matchup in their favor.

[OVERVIEW]

Celesteela's great bulk, typing, and offensive presence helps help it to be a beast in the 1v1 metagame. Its diverse movepool with coverage moves such as Fire Blast and Giga Drain allow allows it to take on many threats in the metagame such as Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, Mega Gyarados, Golem, and Donphan, while its STAB Corkscrew Crash allows it to mow down Fairy-types like Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, Mega Diancie, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Altaria, Togekiss, and non-Babiri Berry Whimsicott. Also, Celesteela doesn't have a great Special Attack stat, henceforth meaning it has trouble breaking through walls such as Type: Null, even with Metal Sound. Furthermore, Celesteela's lackluster base Speed makes it susceptible to faster Pokemon like Mega Metagross, Mega Lopunny, and, (AC) in particular, sleep users like Jumpluff and Mega Gengar.

Moves
========

Flash Cannon is used in combination with Steelium Z, allowing allows Celesteela to have an easier time with Fairy-, Rock-, and Ice-type Pokemon, such as Mega Gardevoir, Terrakion, and Kyurem. Giga Drain gives Celesteela a better matchup versus Water-types such as Mega Gyarados, Mega Swampert, and Greninja, as though almost all Ground- and Rock-types are already beaten by its other moves. Examples include Mega Gyarados, Mega Swampert, and Greninja. Fire Blast is used to beat Grass-, Steel-, and Bug-type Pokemon more easily, including Kartana, non-Thunder Punch Mega Metagross, Genesect, Durant, and Mega Scizor.

Set Details
========

188 HP and 192 Special Defense EVs allow Celesteela to take powerful hits such as a Never-Ending Nightmare into a follwed by Shadow Sneak from Aegislash and a Choice Specs-boosted Thunderbolt from Genesect while maximizing Celesteela's its physical bulk. 128 Special Attack EVs and a Modest nature allow Celesteela to have as much power as possible. Steelium Z can both either boost Flash Cannon's Base Power to 160 or boost allow Celesteela's to boost its Special Attack with Z-Metal Sound.

Usage Tips
========

Use Z-Metal Sound against Taunt users such as Waterium Z Tapu Fini and Kee Berry Mew, (AC) as well as against bulkier Pokemon like Magearna, Aegislash, Porygon2, and Mega Swampert, (AC) followed by the respective proper coverage move. However, wallbreakers such as Mega Medicham, Zeraora, and Mega Lopunny will OHKO or 2HKO Celesteela, so as a result you should stray away from using it in matchups that have one or more wallbreakers. Also, be wary of sleep users like Jumpluff or Mega Gengar, as they'll make you Celesteela unable to set up or move at all. If you know the opposing Porygon-Z is running Choice Scarf, use Giga Drain into followed by Corkscrew Crash to cover for Thunderbolt. If it's running Normalium Z, use Metal Sound into followed by Corkscrew Crash.

Team Options
========

Rock-types such as Carracosta and Crustle help Celesteela have an easier life time against Fire-type Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X and Y and Victini, while in return Celesteela can take down Grass- and Steel-types such as Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn with its Fire-type coverage, (AC) as well as Mold Breaker Pokemon that would OHKO Crustle or Carracostam such as. Examples include Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, Mega Gyarados (RC) and Haxorus. In return, Celesteela can beat Grass-types that trouble Tapu Fini and Primarina are weak to (repetitive sentence structure) like Mega Venusaur and Tapu Bulu. Celesteela is a very slow threat compared to others in 1v1, so a fast Pokemon like Greninja, Choice Specs Deoxys-S, or Zeraora can be a viable asset to your team for speed control to beat Pokemon like Jumpluff and Mega Gengar; (SC) in return, Celesteela can take harder hits that these faster, yet more glass cannon-like Pokemon aren't capable of doing handling such as a Supersonic Skystrike or Devastating Drake from Dragonite or a Never-Ending Nightmare from Aegislash.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========

A Leech Seed + Protect Celesteela set can be utilized to stall out opposing Pokemon (RC) such as Mega Lopunny and Substitute Primarina. A Choice Specs Celesteela set with Air Slash instead of Metal Sound allows all of its Celesteela's moves to become more powerful to beat stronger targets such as Mega Lopunny, Kommo-o, Guardian of Alola Tapu Fini, and Serperior, although not having the ability to use Metal Sound causes Celesteela to lose out on matchups such as Porygon-Z and Meloetta.
