Rephrasing the above, if a Vaporeon has Water as its Hidden Power, it will get STAB on it. 70 (BP) * 1.5 (STAB) = 105 Base Power.

There no real point in doing that, though, since theres always a better move a Pokemon can learn.
 
how many evs does using ONE protein,or zinc or w/e on a pokemon use??

Eg. To clarify

Quaziz used a Zinc on Magikarp!
Magikarps sp.def rose!----------------How many evs does this cont as???

And how many points would his Sp.Defense bw raised by??
 
Does everyone on smogon only use pokemon with 31 in the stats needed? I was breeding for hours and got something with 31 iv for my first important stat and a 26 for the 2nd it took me forever to get that and the others where nothing to great but does that make it crap. I know some people got dittos with almost 31 in everything but I have yet to find one.

@Jolly: Yes. A sweeper with <30 Speed is worthless. A Sweeper with 30 Speed is worth about HALF of one with 31 Speed, unless it has Hidden Power.
 
At lv 100 2, you can have up too 255 wroth of ev points in one stat but keep in mind that you get 1 point in a stat for every 4 ev points so only put 252 max into one stat. Also using drugs will only get you 100 ev points so if you max a stat the last 152 you must get on by yourself.
 
Say I have this scenario: Pokemon A, who is not holding damp rock, uses Rain Dance. I switch to Pokemon B, who is holding damp rock. Does the rain last for 5 or 8 turns?
 
Hello everyone!

I'm trying to breed a really good HP Fire Roserade, but I'm having a bit of trouble with its moveset. I want Spikes/Sleep Power/Leaf Storm/HP Fire, but I'm not sure how to get all those moves onto a Roselia. They are all egg moves, so would that mean that I need to get another pokemon who knows all three of those moves? Because only Smeagle can do that, and it's not compatible with the Roserade. What do I do now? =\
 
how come i cant get through the rest of my diamond? i just finished snow point city, and now nothing happens at acuity lakefront.. i dont know what to try now, all the walkthroughs say something happens when you go in there but nothing happens.

If my Pokemon has Pokerus + Macho Brace, and I battle a Gyrados, but switch it out, the Pokemon that got switched out would gain 8 Atk EVs, right?
 
I ask this again----which trainer gives the most experience in the game? =/ I only got an EV training guide in the resource thread, but I'm talking about cold, hard experience points for already EV trained Pokemon. I don't like the E4.
 
Is there any way to get Mesprit/Uxie/Azelf's data in the Pokedex without having to actually catch them? I want to be able to get the National Pokedex but don't feel like SRing for them right now.

Uxie and Azelf: Battle and lose to them. You get the Pokédex data, and their IVs/Nature/Shinyness will be randomized when you battle them again.

Mesprit: Just talk to her. However, her IVs/Nature/Shinyness will be set at this moment.
 
Age of Kings: On the route below Solaceon, there are two pokemon breeders, one male, one female, that gives pretty good exp.
 
Alright, sounds good Mario. I actually caught Mesprit, I could have screamed when I checked the stats.

Great nature, crap IVs. I'll SR for it on my Diamond later.
