New Year's Resolutions

• Get a girlfriend. I'm tired of the "lol dating girls is stupid I'd rather just get drunk and hook-up" mindset, I'm maturing more these days and don't feel that kind of need anymore. I want to go steady for awhile.

• Stop drinking as much. This goes hand in hand with the 1st one. I'm hoping that getting a girl will kind of "keep me in check" if you know what I'm saying. I'm hoping that I don't feel the urge to get hammered EVERY thursday through saturday, throwing in occasional sundays and tuesdays into the mix as well.

• Stop smoking as much. Again, this goes hand in hand with my first one. I think cigarettes here and here are fine, especially if I'm drinking or doing another drug, but I really need to stop the smoking for no reason during the day or week.

• Stop smoking weed and using other drugs as much. Nobody needs to be getting high several times a day. The amount of weed I smoke is becoming borderline habitual. I'm falling into the "drug abuser" category.

• Get better grades. I did pretty good my first quarter at OSU. Being in Engineering, I had pretty tough classes, and ended up coming out with a 3.2. I'm going to get a 3.6 or better this next quarter.

• Exercise more! I already lift pretty consistently, but I'm going to start playing pickup games of Basketball at the JO or RPAC every day that I don't lift.

• Finally, I want to be a better and more open-minded person. I want to be able to try new things without letting pre-existing stereotypes influence my thoughts on an activity.

One more part to my new year's resolution...

I am only going to pursue healthy relationships.

This has plagued me for the past four or five months... and I just can't seem to shake a particularly destructive attraction that I have. I will no longer allow it!

A few.

- Consistently practice my popping. (My aim is to be one of Toronto's best in 2 or 3 years).
- Stop smoking grain in school, and cut back on tobacco smoking in general.
- Pull up my grades
- Get back into competitive gaming. I haven't decided on the game yet, though.

-Go serious with my current relationship or just end it. I can't be with doubts.
-Get a new job
-Socialize more, not like i live isolated but i'm kinda antisocial at times.

-spend more time with my girlfriend and other friends
-pass french and math
-finally finish my in-game UU team
-paint and play more warmachine
-be a better poster (Not going to happen ^_^)

first

my resolution was to not procrastinate

but i procrastinated in making it until earlier today so i blew that already

then my resolution was to not make a resolution next year

because my life will be great/i won't want to change anything/etc

humorous and functional to boot!

Stop being a douche to people unless they really deserve it.

Treat my body better. Exercise a bit, eat better than I have. I'd like to gain some muscle too but I'll settle for being physically fit.

Devote more time to studying so I can keep my scholarship and not have to drop out of school.

Finally get over my ex.

1. Take over chaos's body
2. Read more books/be productive
3. Focus on school (anyone here in the Berkeley are btw?)
4. This one is a maybe, but try to cut back on smoking.

Few additions to mine:

1. Become a better painter. Recently, I've become very bored during the day, due in part to my lack of hobbies. While playing video games is enjoyable, after awhile it gets, and has gotten, old. My mother used to be quite the local artist so I've decided to see if any of that creativity was passed on to me.

2. Like many before have said, work out more often. I used to work out regularly but I've slacked off alot these past few weeks.

3. Either finally win her over or move on. That's all I have to say about that.

1. Splits!
2. Breed something amazing
3. Eat more meat/protein (Living with veggies does nothing for muscle building)

...Ben

1. Be more sociable (I kinda started this a while back but whatever) IRL and online.
2. Learn a few things on that guitar in my room that's gathering dust.

Well, I don't really have much of a resolution in all honesty, but I suppose that if I do, it's simply to continue what I've been doing socially since late November.

Yeah, what I've been doing since November, after I made that thread about having good conversations, has been, to utilize some of the suggestions in that thread.

Y'know, I've been doing things such as hoisting my listening skills as much as I could, looking at the person's face when I talk instead of looking at the ground, not being afraid to let there be the occasional silence for observation, and basically just talking more. I've done all that, and my conversational skills are fuckin awesome to say the least.

Yeah, so basically my resolution is to just keep on having that positive outlook on life and to be confident and talk! It's been making people so much more fun to talk to.

P.S. Thanks smogon for all your help there! :]
