Hiya! Been following this Pet Mod for a while. Here's a few suggestions from Gen 8, might add more of them later:

BoltBeak/Fishious Rend should be toned down, be it by reducing the power boost by something like 50% or cutting the BP to 50 or 60. The poor Arctozolt and Arctovish could also get a Helping Hand, maybe raising their Speed to a more workable level?

I see you've been tweaking Uber mons as well. Zamazenta got blatantly shafted over Zacian and should get a rework, perhaps by making his defensive stats more prominent.

I suggest slating the starters.
:cinderace: :inteleon: :rillaboom:

at some point, you guys will need to do the starters, since every gen had the starters buffed. even op ones like serperior have been slated, and put an ability restriction. i suggest doing that with cinderace and rillaboom, making ace uu and rilla ru and libero to ubers and grassy surge to ou.

Love to see this forum activity!
Eeveelutions: Limited coverage (especially for a few like Flareon) and most are vastly overshadowed by several of the same type that do the job better. While this is not a huge problem for Glaceon in PU, even it ends up having to compete with Galarian Mr. Mime and especially Mr. Rime, which the only thing Glaceon have over them is a higher Special Attack.
The Eeveelutions all got some changes but unfortunately they are one of the things that didn't make it on the site yet. All of them have at least one new ability, while some of them got 2. For example, Glaceon now has both Slush Rush and Snow Warning. I would recommend checking them out with chat commands on the server (/cfm instead of /data). I believe there might be some moveset additions for all of them, I know Jolteon has Grass Knot and U-turn, but since they're on the website I can't check lol.
Galarian Stunfisk: Although somewhat better than normal Stunfisk, having only one Ability that was way too situational to be worthwhile make it feels limited. Maybe it should have two Abilities and one Hidden like normal Stunfisk, in addition to rework Snap Trap to reflect the Terrain's type and 1.5x power to make it more useful.
Gen 8 Pokemon are pretty much untouched right now so suggestions are definitely appreciated! I believe there have been a few talks of changing Snap Trap already.
Clefable: Definitely annoying to excessive extent as even without the Fairy-type, Clefable can be a huge annoyance in any tier it is allowed in.
I don't really see ourselves making any changes to Clefable. Most of the fat teammates that complement Clef's positives and cover for it's not outstanding bulk have been made less effective. There's definitely enough firepower in CFOU to deal with it.
Gorilla Tactics: The primary reason why Galarian Darmanitan get the boot in even National Dex is because of Gorilla Tactics, which gave it excessive prowess even as an Ice-type. Nerfing the Ability so that it won't stack with a Choice item prevent from exploiting Choice Band or Choice Scarf with an already powerful Ability and encourage the player to be a little more strategic.
Galar Darm will definitely be changed in some way, whether it's a third ability and Gorilla Tactics being just banned to Ubers or canceling out Choice Items.
Plusle and Minun: Maybe make them the fastest Pika Clones? This will allows them to use support moves with much efficiency. Slight raise of attacking stats for Plusle and defensive stats for Minun would help a wee bit.
They've actually both gotten buffed speed! Plusle also got a special attack boost which makes it a viable offensive electric in PU while Minun now has high special defense which allows it to be a fast utility pokemon
BoltBeak/Fishious Rend should be toned down, be it by reducing the power boost by something like 50% or cutting the BP to 50 or 60. The poor Arctozolt and Arctovish could also get a Helping Hand, maybe raising their Speed to a more workable level?
We've definitely already discussed those broken moves. Iirc changing the boost to 1.5x while giving them a stat adjustment was suggested.
I see you've been tweaking Uber mons as well. Zamazenta got blatantly shafted over Zacian and should get a rework, perhaps by making his defensive stats more prominent.
Zamazenta is underwhelming for sure. A potential change we can make is having Behemoth Bash calculated based on the user's defense like Body Press, but we just haven't finalized it yet.
I suggest slating the starters.

If we ever have a slate for the Galar starters it probably won't be for a while. They are all interesting and good enough competitively outside of Inteleon, but we will most likely turn Snipe Shot into a Frost Breath variant that always crits to make it much more useful alongside Sniper. Anything else would just be minor tweaks, which doesn't seem like something we should slate immediately when there's so much more we have to get to in gen 8 at the moment. Gamefreak did a great job with them competitively this time around.

Ayy, I'm happy to hear that! Yeah, those fossil mons are all definitely in need of a rework. Half of them are awful, but all of them have a move that is simply insane - especially once they release all their HA's that double their speed in weather. Nerfing them down to 60BP or the boost to 50% is a solid suggestion. Zamazenta and Zacian are woefully unbalanced... and you've reminded me that there are a few mons that could do with some work in Ubers, like Mewtwo and Necroza Dawn-Wings.

The weather abilities will make the Arctos pretty good, but the Dracos will be quite a bit weaker because they have power-boosting abilities (Strong Jaw/Hustle). Also, due to how multi-hit moves and secondary effects work, I'd suggest nerfing Double Iron Bash to not have a secondary effect at all.

I got some hopefully good suggestions for you. I might think for more later on.

While this is not a huge problem for Glaceon in PU, even it ends up having to compete with Galarian Mr. Mime and especially Mr. Rime, which the only thing Glaceon have over them is a higher Special Attack.
  • Magmortar: Nothing wrong with Magmortar right now, except the fact that it remained single-typing while it's counterpart, Electivire, gains the Fighting-type. It's not an emergency but making it a Fighting-type alongside Electivire makes Magmortar one of the rare Special Attacking Fighting-type, making it a little more interesting.
  • Galarian Stunfisk: Although somewhat better than normal Stunfisk, having only one Ability that was way too situational to be worthwhile make it feels limited. Maybe it should have two Abilities and one Hidden like normal Stunfisk, in addition to rework Snap Trap to reflect the Terrain's type and 1.5x power to make it more useful.

Also, one question; why is Delibird considered as OU according to the current CFM site? I don't exactly see it aside of being quick and the No Guard benefits.

A bunch of awesome suggestions, and I hope my good buddy LorisMasta17 's response was to your satisfaction. Let me just list the Eeveelutions that have been adjusted - all I did was select some abilities so that they'd all have three each:
Vaporeon: Water Absorb / Hydration / Rain Dish
Jolteon: Volt Absorb / Rough Skin / Quick Feet
Flareon: Flash Fire / Flame Body / Guts
Espeon: Telepathy / Anticipation / Magic Bounce
Umbreon: Synchronize / Insomnia / Unnerve
Leafeon: Natural Cure / Overgrow / Chlorophyll
Glaceon: Ice Body / Slush Rush / Snow Warning
Sylveon: Cute Charm / Friend Guard / Pixilate

(changes highlighted in bold; Hidden Abilities in italics)
Some of these were done for their competitive merit - most notably Leafeon and Glaceon - but most were simply for flavour and giving all mons three options.

Finally, Delibird is OU because of No Guard Sing. It's not particularly strong, but it's quite hard to stop it from putting something immediately to sleep. Combine that with strong never-miss Hurricanes and Blizzards, it is surprisingly effective. It was so annoying originally that I had to remove Spikes, since with them it was the best hazard lead in the game.

The time has come, and so have I!
It's sprint number 3! For the next week, please make your submissions for improvements to the following three mons.

zacian-crowned.gif

Zacian (both formes) (Uber)
Target BSTs: 660 - 680 (base) / 700 - 720 (Crowned)

So, this is a mon that seems to be rather controversial in Ubers (idk, I don't play that fustercluck of a tier) due to its awesome typing, blistering speed, and broken ability. The aim of putting it in this sprint is therefore to nerf it, not just so that it doesn't curbstomp nearly everything in the tier. While CFM Ubers does already mitigate it somewhat since Primal Groudon exists, it is still overcentralising and woefully unbalanced compared to Zamazenta.

zamazenta-crowned.gif

Zamazenta (both formes) (Uber)
Target BSTs: 660 - 680 (base) / 700 - 720 (Crowned)

On the other hand, this mon also exists. From what I can gather, this is a mon that struggles to justify its existence. While it's very fast, and its crowned form is very bulky, it doesn't have a setup move other than Howl for offensive sets and has very little for defensive sets; other than freaking Metal Burst. As an offensive Fighting(/Steel)-type, it faces heavy competition from Mega Lucario and Mega Metagross, and its defensive sets are outclassed by Arceus, since the latter has the enviable Recover (as well as Refresh, Defog, TWave, Toxic, and a million other things). Suggestions that would alleviate this thing's pointlessness and put it closer to being on par with its sibling (without being broken) would be really appreciated.

Note: for both of these mons, suggested changes to their signature "Behemoth" moves would be welcome. As there is no Dynamax in CFM, their effects are useless.

carnivine.gif

Carnivine (AG)
Target BST: 460 - 500
Target tier: anywhere between PU and RU
Suggested typing: Grass

Rounding off this divine trinity is the worst flytrap of all time; one that actually takes double damage from the Bug/Flying-types it's supposed to capture and devour. Due to its oxymoronic design, Carnivine has become something of a meme in CFM - although I tried at first just to make it a super-strong Grass/Dark Pokémon that mowed things down in Trick Room with a STAB Strong Jaw boosted Crunch, this seriously exacerbated its thematic problem. What's more, everyone thought this was a dumb change, since it's clearly not a Dark-type. Anyway, the gist is it's been four years and we can't come up with anything interesting for this mon that makes it viable without being dumb, and actually makes freaking sense as a flytrap. Any ideas?

Please submit your ideas by 10th September! Have fun!

Pokémon: Zacian-Hero
Typing: Fairy
Stats: 90 (-2) / 130 / 115 / 90 (+10) / 115 / 130 (-8) BST: 670
Abilities: Intrepid Sword: Raises attack by 1 stage on switch in, Power of steel type moves increased by 1.5x if the user is NOT a steel type.
Behemoth Blade:
Damage increases if the target has a higher base stat total than the user (multiplier could be 1.3x, just haven't come up with an end all be all decision)
The most basic change out of these legends. Regular Zacian is actually a really strong mon but just gets overshadowed by its broken crowned form, and deciding not to use crowned comes with lots of opportunity cost. Intrepid Sword draws from our version of Poison Touch to give the hero form more of an incentive to use its signature move. Stat changes are for pretty numbers and to get into that nice 130 speed tier like much of the fast attackers in CFM Ubers. Behemoth Blade idea is changeable but that's a pretty cool thing I came up with. Now instead of doing extra damage on the giant dynamax Pokemon, it does extra damage against the giant of the Ubers tiers with insane base stats, including the powerful megas which we have instead of dynamax.

Pokémon: Zacian-Crowned
Typing: Fairy / Steel
Stats: 90 (-2) / 160 (-10) / 125 (+10) / 90 (+10) / 115 / 120 (-18) BST: 700 (-20)
Abilities: Intrepid Sword: Raises attack by 1 stage on switch in, Power of steel type moves increased by 1.5x if the user is NOT a steel type.
Behemoth Blade:
Damage increases if the target has a higher base stat total than the user
The main reason this mon is too good in vanilla is because it just has waaaaaay too much speed for how powerful AND bulky it is. So I thought I would just nerf its speed instead of raising it. Essentially the Palkia treatment, just put it to 120 speed and call it a day lol. The slight attack nerf also helps. The speed makes sense if you use the same logic as Zamazenta crowned that its weighed down by its new heavy metal stuff, and it's new armament also gives it extra defense as well. Anyways, this is still one of the biggest threats in the tier but now it's not the biggest threat in the tier. Special bulk is worse now but physical is probably better? Would have to calc to find out. It's also worth noting that the extra damage for Behemoth Blade is very uncommon for a 700 BST mon.

Pokémon: Zamazenta-Hero
Typing: Fighting
Stats: 90 (-2) / 135 (+5) / 110 (-5) / 90 (+10) / 110 (-5) / 135 (-3) BST: 670
Abilities: Dauntless Shield: Raises defense by 1 stage on switch in, Power of steel type moves increased by 1.5x if the user is NOT a steel type.
+Body Press,
Behemoth Bash: Damage is based off of the user's defense stat instead of attack (like Body Press). Damage increases if the target has a higher base stat total than the user
So the first change is the slightly different stats from Zacian. Not only does this serve as balancing with the slightly more formidable Zacian, but I think it's a cool parallel that it starts out more offensively focused but then gets super bulky when it goes into Crowned form. Dauntless Shield is the same secondary effect as Intrepid Sword because mono-fighting STAB in ubers is dreadful. Behemoth Bash also gets the same secondary effect as Behomoth Blade, but we'll get to the important change and Body Press later...

Pokémon: Zamazenta-Crowned
Typing: Fighting / Steel
Stats: 90 (-2) / 125 (-5) / 140 (-5) / 90 (+10) / 135(-10) / 120(-8) BST: 700 (-20)
So Zamazenta Crowned is known for being garbage, but I believe I have solved this issue. The stat changes are pretty minor. A little less speed, attack, and bulk makes it look worse but I promise it isn't lol. Spoiler alert: it also probably won't be using its attack stat much. Dauntless Shield is the same, but the moves is the important stuff. The main reason this mon sucks is because it has nothing to capitalize on its crazy bulk with. And its offensive fire power is very lackluster without an item. BUT now it not only has Body Press, but its signature move is a stronger Steel type version! So it can use a resttalk set with one or both of these moves and be hard to take down and hard hitting. Defenses and HP are a little lower than normal so its a little weaker than it would be if it got these moves in vanilla. I think this change it pretty dope for Ubers. I don't think it will be broken but it will be great.

Well that part was hard, but nothing compared to the challenge of coming up with things for Carnivine...

Pokémon: Carnivine
Typing: Grass
Stats: 80 (+6) / 116 (+16) / 76 (+4) / 75 (-15) / 87 (+15) / 46 BST: 480 (+26)
Abilities: Strong Jaw / Corrosion / Stakeout
+Hyper Fang, +Ice Fang, + Thunder Fang, +Snap Trap: 80 BP, physical, traps the target. Changes type to match the primary type of the user.
So the stats are just a little different. If Carnivine is meant to be a wallbreaker that's only 46 speed it needs better than base 100 attack. 116 is good but not overkill. -15 Special attack because nobody cares about special Carnivine (nobody cares about Carnivine anyways) and I put that into spdef because grass types usually have solid spdef and this lets it make better use of AV or a defensive set with some of its new tools. And a little Hp and defense to top it off. The abilities are really the cool part. Strong Jaw for some power and because it has a big ass mouth. Corrosion because penis venus fly traps slowly digest their prey, and it also already has moves such as Gastro Acid and Acid Spray. I don't get poison type vibes from Carnivine though so I'm sticking with mono Grass. If you wanna run defensive Carnivine to capitalize on its status movepool such as Leech Seed, a bunch of powder moves, and Defog for some reason you can run Corrosion to poison a bunch of stuff. Lastly is Stakeout. Stakeout is definitely an ability you can't give around to a bunch of things for no reason, but there isn't much else with it and it fits Carnivine thematically as it lies in wait for prey without moving. There is also a trade off in using Stakeout, you can potentially get a giant hit off but you lose consistent damage of Strong Jaw and also you are a Carnivine so you might not force the most switches. The move additions are mostly to abuse Strong Jaw. I could give it Fire Fang but I do not think that belongs on a grass type at all. Lastly, Snap Trap is a pretty cool move and a welcome addition to Carnivine with these changes, and if this gets implemented I also helped to improve Galar Stunfisk at the same time so that's pretty nice.

abilities: corrosion, sweet veil, aroma veil
Moves: +leaf storm, toxic* (keep toxic on it), +thunder fang, +lunge, +sucker punch, +grassy glide, +acrobatics, +acid
tier: pu or nu
explanation: by all accounts, carnivine is a boring no note pokemon. so i'll be brief with this explanation
  • stats: it does nothing but sit around waiting to catch something, so lower speed, better power and special bulk (to a point where it's actually bulky in special defense)

  • abilities: self explanatory, especially with dex entries (plus a grass type that can threaten anything with toxic that has actual bulk is an interesting niche)

  • moves: leaf storm because. come on. lunge, sucker punch, and acid are for flavor, the others are to give it some actually interesting options as a pure grass type

It'd be very cool to code Rusted Shield and Rusted Sword to work like Battle Bond or simply MegaEvolution.

How this makes it more interesting: I gave the plant boi slightly increased defensive stats and physical Attack, along with Stall (a rare ability fitting the theme of a flytrap that stays motionless waiting for its prey) that allows it to take some hits and retaliate. The other two abilities are just here for flavor (Water Absorb for its fondness to swamps and humid places, Suction Cups for its tendency to bind itself to trees) and likely won't be used much over the more interesting Stall. To wrap it up, some miscellaneous moves to give it some semblance of coverage.

How this makes them more interesting: Zacian-C got the Mega-Garchomp treatment, losing 10 precious Speed points over its normal form, as well as some Special bulk; the two however gain a much better Special Attack stat, true to their hyper-offensive theme. Meanwhile Zamazenta, whose biggest downfall was a lack of specialized stats, gets more pronounced defenses while still having a steady offense, as well as some movepool additions. The crux of the submission however, is the new effect of Intrepid Sword/Dauntless Shield: instead of a free +1 to Attack or Defense, now allows them to adapt to their foe's attempt to set up on them. This could turn out either busted or useless, depending on how setup-centric CFM Ubers is. Also the new moves allow them to have control of the field, eliminating stuff like Palkia's Wonder Room effect, for example.

Pokemon: Carnivine (Target Tier: RU/NU)
Typing: Grass/Poison (Hey look, the bug trapping plant isn't weak to Bug anymore!)
Stats (changes highlighted in bold): 94/124/82/92/82/46 (520)
Abilities (changes highlighted in bold)
: Strong Jaw / Merciless

Tweaks to existing moves/abilities
: +Poison Fang, Hyper Fang, Thunder Fang, Snap Trap, Poison Jab
Poison Fang: 10% chance to Badly Poison, 30% if user is Poison type (Removes Flinch chance)
Snap Trap: 60 BP - Changes typing to match user's Primary type, boosted by Strong Jaw

Explanation:
Fun fact, Poison Fang and Fire Fang are the only fang moves in CFM without a Strong Jaw user that also gets a STAB boost off it, we're gonna remove one here. With Poison Fang's original rework to more closely resemble its fang brethren the move is definitely stronger, especially with how limited badly poison is now as a status. However, for Poison types the move is largely overshadowed by Toxic for consistency, and on other Strong Jaw users the poison coverage just isn't a worthwhile option over the elemental fangs. This new rework of the move changes that dynamic at least partially, as other physical Poison types are far more tempted to run this move over jab when available. Defensive poisons will likely stick with Toxic since 30% still isn't 100 but Bulky Offensive poisons like Muk-A and Drapion love to see this buff.

However, this is about Carnivine and giving it a unique dynamic, so let's combine this new Poison Fang with another move rework in Snap Trap. Vanilla Snap Trap SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS, like a lot. This signature move of Stunfisk-G is just Physical Grass Whirlpool, no really that's it. The Snap Trap rework faints two birds with one stone here, as it gives Stunfisk-G new life in combination with its Mimicry ability, and allows Carnivine to get some disgusting, high-damage synergy from trapping + badly poison. Hyper Fang actually does more up front damage than Snap Trap, 70 BP vs 60 BP, if your more of a raw damage kind of player.

Merciless as the secondary ability also suits to more of the raw damage build, as STAB Power Whip is still considerably stronger than Strong Jaw boosted Hyper Fang and with Power Whip and Poison Jab both having their 30% chances to normal poison, (Power Whip gaining this chance due to Carnivine now being a Poison type) Carnivine can start racking up critical targets very quickly, making it even harder to switch in to.

Pokémon: Carnivine
Typing: Grass / Fairy
Stats
: HP: 80 (+6) | Atk: 110 (+10) | Def: 72 | SpA: 70 (-20) | SpD: 72 | Spe: 80 (+34) | BST: 484
Abilities
: Harvest | Natural Cure | HA: Analytic
Tweaks to existing moves/abilities: +Spirit Break, +Play Rough, +Earthquake
How this makes it more interesting: With the new boosts and new type, Carnivine becomes a great offensive Pokémon, it can be a "gimmick mon", you can use it with Choice Scarf or Sleep Powder + Swords dance or a Defog Pokémon. With the new type fairy, it have a lot resistances and with Earthquake it can kill the threat pokémon. Now I'll explain the new type and ability, when he attacks a Pokemon, first he attract the enemy with sweet-smelling drool. Because it's drool, he becomes a fairy type to creates a sweet aroma to catch your enemies. Natural Cure it's very simple to explain, it's because he's a plant :P all the plants can regenerate with the sun. Analytic it's because he is a "Trap Pokémon".

(Sorry my bad anglish)

Pokémon: Carnivine
Typing: Grass/Poison
Stats
: 90/106/76/42/76/82 (+16/+6/+4/-48/+4/+36) | BST: 472
Abilities: Strong Jaw / Grass Pelt / Soul-Heart (with intrinsic levitaiton of course)
Tweaks to existing moves/abilities: +Poison Fang, +Rock Slide, +Thunder Fang, +Snap Trap
Snap Trap: 70 BP, 100 Acc, 15 PP (24 max), Bite move, 10% to put a leech seed on target or flinch
How this makes it more interesting: Snap Trap is basically a grass type Elemental Fang clone now. Other than that, I tweaked Carnivine's stats a bit to be better, but at the same time it still has quirky stats that fit its quirky nature. It has a pretty middle-of-the-road bulk and speed tier, but its raw power is where it shines. STAB Strong Jaw-boosted Snap Trap and Poison Fang will put a dent into most Pokemon, and Rock Slide is used for coverage (and to deal with the aforementioned bug-types!) Overall, Carnivine has been made as a physical sweeper built to put a dent in anything.
(For the record, I put Soul-Heart on Carnivine so it could also have the option of healing when it gets kills, akin to flytraps eating)

All right, Cancer Fairy's time to shine:

zacian-crowned.gif

Pokémon: Zacian
Typing: Fairy (base); Fairy/Steel (Crowned)
Stats (changes highlighted in bold):
Base: 92 / 130 / 105 (-10) / 110 (+30) / 105 (-10) / 128 (-10) (BST: 670)
Crowned: 92 / 160 (-10) / 110 (-5) / 130 (+50) / 110 (-5) / 118 (-30) (BST: 720)
Moves: Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Thunder/Thunderbolt, Roar, Hyper Beam, U-Turn
Tweaks to existing moves/abilities:
Intrepid Sword: every time this mon boosts its Attack or Sp. Attack, it receives an additional +1 in each boosted stat
Behemoth Blade (Crowned only): Z-Move from any Steel-type attack (with Steelium Z); 180 BP; damage is calculated using the higher offensive stat; boosts the higher offensive stat by one stage
How this makes it more interesting: With a sizeable nerf to its Speed and ability, this mon is a lot less immediately broken than in vanilla, making it a less braindead option in Ubers. What's more, it is slightly Physically weaker and frailer, but has greater Sp. Atk; this makes Zacian more of a challenge to use and gives it greater options by allowing it the option of going Special, thus making it more interesting. What's more, it still has the potential to wreak havoc, it only requiring a little bit of effort to set up. With the combination of Behemoth Blade and Intrepid Sword, Zacian has the ability to set up to +2 Atk/SpA while firing off a mighty powerful attack; a technique that only Kommo-o has. Overall, this makes the mon less innately broken, while more challenging to use and varied, with still great potential for a great attacking set with a powerful signature move.

Pokémon: Zamazenta
Typing: Fighting (base); Fighting/Steel (Crowned)
Stats (changes highlighted in bold):
Base: 92 / 130 / 105 (-10) / 110 (+30) / 105 (-10) / 128 (-10) (BST: 670)
Crowned: 92 / 130 / 135 (-10) / 110 (+30) / 135 (-10) / 118 (-10) (BST: 720)
Moves: Aura Sphere, Body Press, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Thunder/Thunderbolt, Roar, Hyper Beam, Parting Shot
Tweaks to existing moves/abilities:
Intrepid Shield: every time this mon boosts its Defence or Sp. Def, it receives an additional +1 in each boosted stat
Behemoth Bash (Crowned only): Z-Move from any Steel-type attack (with Steelium Z); 180 BP; damage is calculated using the higher defensive stat; boosts the higher defensive stat by one stage
How this makes it more interesting: Well, this thing was quite useless in Ubers - maybe now, it can pose both an offensive and a defensive threat? With access to the coveted Body Press (for which I nerfed its defences slightly), this thing can boost its defences and wreak havoc with not just Body Press, but a unique Z-Move that takes advantage of its defensive stats. With an ability that helps it boosts its stats earlier, this thing can tank hits and dish them out in return. To balance it out, however, it still lacks a way of boosting its SpD, and has no recovery (otherwise it would be truly ridiculous). What's more, besides its Z Move it struggles against Fighting resists, making sure it's not unkillable - however, this still makes it a potent threat, and much more appealing compared to its vanilla form.

Pokémon: Carnivine
Typing: Grass
Stats: 105 (+31) / 110 (+10) / 80 (+8) / 90 / 80 (+8) / 30 (-16) (BST: 495)
Abilities: Gluttony / Stakeout / Strong Jaw
Moves: Hyper Fang, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Psychic Fangs, Gunk Shot, Clamp, Pursuit, Sucker Punch, Strength Sap, Nasty Plot, Grassy Glide, Leech Life, Leaf Storm, Weather Ball, Solar Blade, Grassy Glide, Grassy Terrain, Toxic, Work Up, Snap Trap
Tweaks to existing moves/abilities:
Snap Trap (only if the user is Carnivine): 60BP, 95% accurate; traps the target for 2-5 turns; Carnivine restores HP from damage dealt to the target ; this mon takes resisted damage from Bug and Flying-type attacks; any mon that uses a contact move on Carnivine has a 10% chance to be *caught* in Snap Trap, which adds the Snap Trap effect without the move needing to be used
How this makes it more interesting: Well, what a ridiculous mon, a flytrap that takes double damage from Bug-type attacks. I think the best way to solve that conundrum, without giving it an extra typing which frankly I don't think fits, is to cheat, by giving Snap Trap a special unique effect that only works on Carnivine, giving it those juicy resistances. This also makes it a much more compelling mon to use as it can switch into mons more easily, and has a great array of irritating moves in Sleep Powder, Strength Sap, Toxic, Leech Seed, Clamp, and buffed Snap Trap to trap, disable and sap away at its opponents. Its move pool is greatly expanded, giving it an exciting range of options, from special attacker, to Grassy Terrain sweeper, to a utility mon with Defog and Sleep Powder. It also packs a decent punch, with better attack and great abilities in Stakeout and Strong Jaw, and has much better bulk, making it a great all rounder. But it's the unique effect of Snap Trap that makes it really stand out, as there is no move that acts as both Whirlpool and Leech Seed, giving Carnivine an interesting (and annoying niche).

NOTE: the idea of moves with unique effects for certain mons is not unprecedented in CFM, and there are a few examples:
Hypnosis: if the user is Drowzee or Hypno, this move never misses
Lick
: (normally 30BP, matches user's type, 30% chance to paralyse or confuse its target) if the user is Lickitung/Lickilicky, 100% chance to paralyse or confuse its target
Electroweb
: if the user is Joltik or Galvantula, this move becomes a 80BP/100% accurate single-target move with a 100% chance to paralyse the target
Psycho Boost:
different effects depending on the forme of Deoxys using the move
