CAP 1 Smogon's First "Create a Pokemon": Poll 9

Attempts of making a dex data that would incorporate its abilities and the "order" moves

[insert pokemon's name here] is a fairly rare pokemon found in the world's most freezing mountains, thriving in castles made from ice crystals. With its highly developed vision, blasters and hand to eye coordination, it can easily snipe prey from afar. Upon extreme conditions, this pokemon shields itself in a block of ice, effectively trapping the freezing air inside it.

[insert pokemon's name]'s protects the castle it thrives in with an army of underlings and a veil of freezing air. It does not need to move from its spot to snipe prey from afar. After it does so, the underlings are then sent to fetch the stunned prey to the castle, where a merry feast begins afterward. This pokemon only resorts to physical combat if the enemy draws too close.

i think we should have heal order, because the prevo, if we decide to use one, could come in and blah blah blah. also, KOA, when the sprite is moving left to right you should make it so it changes to the second frame a few times back and fourth.

KoA, I hate to say it but I don't like the animation. It's fine for a while and then all of a sudden it just snaps back to an unrelated pose. Looks too rough, maybe make the transition smoother?

Thats good, but you can to easily see each frame and it is quite shaky... perhaps speeding that movement up?

hm... i am limited to 15 frames and only a solid speed... ill try though...

EDIT: i guess someone else will have to try... but you are supposed to see him moving... this is another one i tried...

Shiny of Czir's sprite. I like the wings. Of course, I didn't do anything to the wings, but I still like them. The problem is with the highlights. They look fine on Czir's version and I used the same color for KoA's, but they don't fit here.

There we go, darker highlights while still looking shiny.

now it isn't bright enough IMO. the bug has a shiny shell, so it needs to be brighter.

EDIT: I can't find a way to make the highlights look right. I'm thinking they'll be much easier with a lighter color. I'm going to try it.

EDIT2: Here's a nice blue one, with the colors in the wings.

NVM. i can't do that. So instead i'll contribute a move, maybe:

De-Frost
BP: ---
PP: 5
Effect: Lowers Hp and increases Defense and Sp.Defense
Extra Effect: Hp is lowered by 1/2 and Defenses are increased by 2.

Crystaline Shatter
BP: 70
PP: 15
Effect: High Critical Hit and possible defense lowering
Extra: 50% Crit and 10% Defense lower

I think we'll need another poll to determine the shiny color(s), because there are at least four I can think of at the top of my head. Sanjay, it looks cool (lol), but using the wing colors seems like taking the cheap way out.

A couple random custom moves i came up with... sorry if they are similar to others (haven't looked that much). I voted Physical... so my attacks are physical

Effect-Can only be used per battle, Lowers Def and SDef by 1 stage

Phys- Crystal Charge (Ice)
BP 80
PP 15
Effect- [insert pokemon name] takes 10% recoil

Phys- Ice Needle (Ice)
BP 30
PP 20
Effect- Hits 2-5 Times, goes through subs.

Phys- Deep Freeze (Ice)
BP 100
PP- 10
Effect1- 50% chance to freeze opponent
Effect2- automatically freezes user for 2 turns,

Thoughts? Which one is the best? (I just realized its all ice, no bug. I don't care)

Smogon's server is worse than Serebii's now. This is the first time I've been able to get on in like 15 mins. :(

serebii's server isnt bad, more people visit their site...
but i think shiny shoul be the brownish color of a typical ant, that would be pretty nice.

To be honest it's too big. The ice crystals are pretty fat and the abdomen looks gigantic. Colors aren't that bad though...make the wings bluer

The pose is Czir's, only he knows how to fix it. I am just a recolorer. I think the green ice looks really nice with the bronze. Blue wings would throw the whole thing off.

I don't think this one is nearly as good but whatever.

Yeah, I'll fix the animation up later, I'm doing the back sprite now.

I liked the rapid flashing effect though.
