Why is reaching for reads a good thing? The reasoning behind their reads use either incredibly complicated logic or no logic at all. How do these reads help town?

Because Eagle has provided by far the most content this game via these reaches. It’s how town moves out of RVS.

Additional sus for you using literally Tommy’s language, and the post where you voted Eagle came half an hour after someone else light sussed him. You waited to see how salient an Eagle push would be and then pushed him, which is scum motivated.

More clear language of where I’m at on Caffeine rn:

It’s probable that Caffeine has fallen into the trap of voting for the player with the most potentially scummy content in raw data, as opposed to scummy content per post ratio (which there are a couple other candidates for, including Caffeine himself). This can happen as either town or scum, but the timing of it — right after a couple other players had expressed an openness to the idea that Eagle could be scum — seems opportunistic, and that’s definitely scum motivated as opposed to town.

When I get to a PC I’ll check what I mean by there being other players more scummy per post ratio than Eagle. I know I got that vibe scanning the thread after waking up this morning, but I don’t remember anyone’s name why and I don’t wanna do this on my phone lmao

I feel slightly iffy about shub’s Clarient vote based on the timing, and also that they seem to imply suspicions on BGB and TBZ already? Idk, it feels like a lot for so early on. shub, can you explain where you stand on BGB now for me? I do have a townread on them now but its for something I know you aren’t gonna agree with.

It’s more so the opportunism and his piggybacking off others’ reads while presenting it as new information and trying to take credit for it. Though I do townread Eagle, I don’t think this plays into my case.

He was posting while Eagle and Tommy were here, and he waited until half an hour after someone else soft sussed Eagle before placing a vote on him. It’s big “I want a push on someone and get town points but if it goes wrong I can push the blame on someone else” energy, and while town or mafia can do this it’s more prolific with mafia because they know that if their target is lynched it will look badly on them since they know alignments.

A few things have pinged me about Eagle.

1. Talks a lot without saying anything (the whole flavour claiming stuff, setup speculation, claiming there's scum in a pool of 5 people then never coming back to it)
2. Jumping to conclusions for townreads
3. Pinged me for no reason (this is partly out of spite)

Please explain everything in bold.

Thought i'd leave responding to this for a bit so that i could sr anyone piggybacking on these points by pretending that they're valid (which SB has sort-of done with the quote highlighted below?) But yeah w/ all due respect if we want actual examples of 'talking a lot without saying anything' we can look at your spam on the first few pages -- the flavour claiming stuff was an avenue i thought could've been quite fruitful, and it was less about the actual flavour and more about why t-ballz (who i've forgotten is still playing this game) would say they're chansey in the first place. it's not a lot to go on but it's more than anything else we had, and at least sparked some form of discussion -- the setup speculation was again a way of getting the day moving forward. i don't want to big myself up here but i feel like i've been one of the least 'talks a lot without saying anything' peeps in this whole thread, and i agree w/ celever that this vote seems a lil opportunistic more than anything, but i had/have? a town lean on you based on pure vibes (which is why i'm more inclined to sr the person who piggybacks your points, as they can then absolve themselves of any agency).

as a side note i thought it was pretty clear i was being tongue-in-cheek w/ that 'here are my definitive thoughts' post -- they're reads based on minimal vibes so far but they're nothing deep.

Caffeine made a good response to that post. If anyone has fallen into a trap it would be Eagle, Cause How does one game solve day 1 in 24 hours. with an " incredible amount of evidence". There is bound to be some puzzlement with that post which might cause complications for himself and other players.

"game solve" might be exaggerated but it looks like it.

I'm trying to be more reserved D1 because many times in the past I exploded early D1 and leaned strongly on this or that player only to be wrong later

To have a filled stomach, there needs to be a sizeable portion of meat
