Pet Mod Generation X (Region 2 - Completed, Playtesting)

No one of the Starter Movepools submissions included an exclusive move. Do we want them?

  • Make the submitters of the winning movepools suggest the exclusive moves (they won't be voted)

  • Make a slate overlapped with the next one to decide them

  • We don't need exclusive moves, not all starters had them

Name: Warruppy (warrior + puppy)
Typing: Fighting
Abilities: Vital Spirit / Justified (HA)
Stats: 45 / 75 / 30 / 30 / 30 / 70 (BST: 280)

Flavor/Design: Warruppy is a small reddish-brown dog Pokémon resembling a mastiff puppy. Contrary to its cute looks, Warruppy is actually really aggressive, attacking any unfamiliar people or Pokémon in its vicinity. It loves battles and will try to fight opponents that are more than four times its size.

Warruppy evolves into Mastaunch starting at Level 26.

Name: Mastaunch (mastiff + staunch)
Typing:
Fighting
Abilities: Guts / Justified (HA)
Stats: 65 / 115 / 80 / 60 / 80 / 100 (BST: 500)
Notable Moves: Close Combat, Play Rough, Psychic Fangs, Crunch, Stone Edge, Bulk Up, Earthquake, Fire Fang, Ice Fang, ThunderFang, Iron Head, Zen Headbutt, Facade

Flavor/Design: Mastaunch is a large reddish-brown dog Pokémon resembling a mastiff. Its body is covered in faded scars, and half of its tail is missing. Families from all ends of the class spectrum keep a Mastaunch, as they are incredibly good at guarding houses. Mastaunch still maintains its aggressive personality from when it was a Warruppy, but it has now developed a fierce loyalty towards its Trainer. If it senses that its Trainer is in any sort of trouble, it will fight ferociously to defend them, even if it means that it will lose its life in the process. Brazdian Trainers are forbidden from bringing Mastaunch to other regions, as they become so troubled if placed in unfamiliar surroundings that they become incredibly destructive.
Origin: This line is based off of the Fila Brasileiro, which is also known as the Brazilian Mastiff. This dog breed is known for both its extreme loyalty to its owner and its extreme aggressiveness, to the point where some countries forbid owning them. Pretty much speaks for itself
Competitive: Mastaunch is basically a faster, slightly weaker version of Machamp. It doesn't have any priority or method of removing items, but it makes up for it with sheer power. Still probably an RU mon at best.

Name: Grimer-Brazdo
Counterpart(s): Grimer-Kanto and Grimer-Alola
Typing: Poison/Water
Abilities: Stench / Storm Drain / Poison Touch (HA)
Stats: 80 / 50 / 80 / 40 / 50 / 25 (BST: 325)
Flavor/Design: Brazdian Grimer resembles its counterparts, but it is blue with patches of tan instead. When Grimer were introduced to Brazdian cities, they immediately took to the vast network of sewers that lay underneath them. Eventually, their bodies began to merge with the sewer water, making them able to completely dissolve when making contact with polluted water. This allows Brazdian Grimer to spread their pollutants at an alarming rate, making them a scourge to the inhabitants of the city.

Brazdian Grimer evolves into Brazdian Muk when it is exposed to a Water Stone.

Name: Muk-Brazdo
Counterpart(s): Muk-Kanto and Muk-Alola
Typing:
Poison/Water
Abilities: Merciless / Storm Drain / Poison Touch (HA)
Base Stats: 105 / 75 / 105 / 65 / 100 / 50 (BST: 500)
Notable Moves: Liquidation, Waterfall, Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Scald, Sludge Wave, Acid Armor, Toxic Spikes, Toxic, Knock Off, Recover, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Ice Punch
Removed Moves: All Fire and Electric type moves

Flavor/Design: Brazdian Muk resembles its counterparts, but it is blue with patches of tan instead. It now also has pieces of plastic stuck to it and large plastic rings around its hands, resembling bracelets. Brazdian Muk is known as "the beast of the sewers". If it touches water in any way, even if it is a tiny part of its body, the water will immediately become incredibly toxic. Brazdian Muk also has the power to draw toxins out of water, as well as pollutants such as plastic. This has lad to experiments where Brazdian Muk is used to leach plastic out of the Brazdian oceans; however, all of these experiments have failed, as Brazdian Muk is simply too toxic.
Origin: This line is based on sewage, which is a huge problem in Brazil. The sheer amount of sewage contamination in Rio de Janiero almost led to the 2016 Olympics being cancelled. Nothing more to say here really.
Competitive: Brazdian Muk is basically a weaker Toxapex. It badly wishes it had Regenerator, but it still has a solid typing and a lot of defensive/utility options. Almost certainly a UU staple.

Name: Yummee (yummy)
Typing:

Abilities: Sweet Veil / Weak Armor / Aroma Veil (HA)
Base Stats: 51 / 49 / 63 / 40 / 67 / 50 (320)
Height/Weight: 0.4 m / 5 kg
Flavour/Design: Yummee looks like a square of chocolate partially wrapped in hard foil, which also forms two stubby legs. It emits a pleasant, sweet odor that often attracts bug or bird Pokemon as well as people. When under attack, it pulls more foil over its chocolatey body to protect itself while trying to roll away. If that doesn't work, Yummee can launch pieces of its foil at attackers. Evolves into Chocaolee at level 33.

Name: Chocaolee (chocolatey + cacao)
Typing:

Abilities: Sweet Veil / Iron Fist / Aroma Veil (HA)
Base Stats: 77 / 88 / 108 / 50 / 112 / 65 (500)
Notable Moves: Play Rough, Iron Head, Meteor Mash, Aromatherapy, Recover, Autotomize, Bullet Punch, Metal Burst, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Drain Punch, Encore, Bulk Up
Height/Weight: 0.8 m / 12 kg
Flavour/Design: Chocaolee is a larger square of chocolate that has grown strong foil arms, though its legs are still short and stubby. It still attracts Pokemon with its sweet smell, but it can now defend itself better with its arms, punching much harder than its size would suggest.
Competitive: Chocaolee has solid bulk with a good defensive typing with reliable recovery and support options in Aromatherapy and Encore. Its base offenses are weak but it can likely find set up opportunities to use Bulk Up, and it has strong offensive moves in STAB Play Rough and Meteor Mash with priority Bullet Punch or punching coverage moves.
Name: Pleckish (pleco + fish)
Typing:

Abilities: Suction Cups / Swift Swim / Screen Cleaner (HA)
Base Stats: 62 / 38 / 51 / 45 / 51 / 68 (315)
Height/Weight: 0.6 m / 15 kg
Flavour/Design: Pleckish is a small catfish-like Pokemon similar to Pescafin or Barboach, except that it has long winglike fins that allow it to fly. In the wild, they live in rivers and lakes eating algae while flying out of the water to eat berries from trees and avoid predators. They have a strong urge to clean hard surfaces with their mouths, which has led to people in the region having them as cleaning pets or assistants. Pleckish living among people will happily clean sidewalks, windows, and mirrors, able to fly up the sides of tall buildings. Large schools of flying Pleckish are as noisy as flocks of bird Pokemon. Evolves at level 30 during rain.

Name: Alapleco (alado, Portuguese for "winged", + pleco)
Typing:

Abilities: Suction Cups / Swift Swim / Screen Cleaner (HA)
Base Stats: 101 / 58 / 72 / 81 / 72 / 96 (480)
Notable Moves: Hydro Pump, Water Spout, Hurricane, Ice Beam, Dazzling Gleam, Flash Cannon, Flip Turn, U-turn, Defog, Haze, Tailwind, Mirror Coat, Soak, Morning Sun
Height/Weight: 1.2 m / 45 kg
Flavour/Design: Alapleco are large pleco fish with large fins that allow them to fly. Using their suction cup mouths, they attach themselves to hard surfaces and wash off dirt and dust. They clean people's windows and other belongings, though they sometimes make Grass type Pokemon nervous due to their voracious appetite for algae and grass.
Competitive: Alapleco has solid bulk and speed, with Flip Turn or U-turn to pivot and moves like Haze and Defog to support its team. Screen Cleaner can let it remove the opposing team's screens.

Name: Insanitary
Typing: Poison/Steel
Abilities: Stench/Regenerator (Corrosive)
Base Stats: 80/30/70/66/44/30 (320)
Height/Weight: 1 m / 15 kg
Notable Moves: Flash Cannon, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Sludge Wave, Disable, Dark Pulse, Focus Blast, Giga Drain, Steel Beam, Parting Shot, Yawn, Roar, Nasty Plot, Slack Off
Flavour/Design: It's almost an Oscar the grouch type creature, a manbeast in a trashcan.
Evolves into Katrashtrofy at 27.

Name: Insanitary
Typing: Poison/Steel
Abilities: Stench/Regenerator (Corrosive)
Base Stats: 120/50/100/91/89/35 (485)
Height/Weight: 1 m / 15 kg
Notable Moves: Flash Cannon, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Sludge Wave, Disable, Dark Pulse, Focus Blast, Giga Drain, Steel Beam, Parting Shot, Yawn, Roar, Nasty Plot, Slack Off
Flavour/Design: It's almost an Oscar the grouch type creature, a manbeast in a trashcan BIGGER than before.
Competitive: Despite the less than 500 bst, this boy is a tank. Recovery with an awesome-ish defensive typing. The ability to spread poison or Recover. Compared to Toxapex it has a 4x weakness so Quake it down and ground types are commonly used as is so...
Breeding Group: Mineral/Humanshape
Gender Ratio: 75M/25F

Name: Pollucoon (Pollution + Racoon)
Counterpart(s): :grimer: , :muk:, :trubbish:, :garbodor: This mon is the predator of trubbish and garbador, and grimer and muk live near it around factories.
Typing: Dark/Steel
Ability: Strong Jaw
Base Stats: 64/ 98/ 64/ 88 / 64 / 101
BST:479
Notable Moves: Crunch, Geard-Up Chomp, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Shift Gear, Dark Pulse, Sludge Bomb, Poison Fang, Psychic Fang, Lash Out, Work Up, Flash Cannon, Iron Head
New Features: Geard- Up Chomp deals 30+ 40x damage with 5pp(8 max). X meaning how many times this pokemin used shift gear previously on the switch-in. Boosted by strong jaw.
Flavour/Design: It looks like a metal racoon. It was made in the most urbanized city in Brazoda to clean up trash. Production of them stopped after they started eating the trubish and how they were very aggressive to humans when not eating. Only a few remain near the factory and they only have a 1/100 chance of being encountered.
Potential Competitive Role: A strong shift gear user with good coverage could definelty be a strong late game cleaner. It has really bad defensive capabilities so it would most likely be run on screens offense.

And the last I tiebroke on is Dilasc's Insanitary line... (the second of which, I forgot to mention, is also named Insanitary in the post, but the evolution section on the first implies it's named Katrashtrofy so we'll use that rather than disqualifying)

Now for some news, sharpen42 is able to post again! We're going to have a 24 hour discussion slate and then they'll post the next submission slate. See you all then!

Hi guys!
I'm sorry, this delay with next Slate's opening is my fault, I've been busy irl, but now I'll focus on this project till the end.

We want to give a twist to our games and to next Slate, so submission will be about Fossils and Starters' exclusive moves, but we need your opinion first: how would you handle the fossil mechanics introduced by Sw/Sh? Fossils have undergone a revolution last gen, so do we allow more freedom or return to ancient fossil mechanic?

As we did some slates ago, I'll add a poll to the Discussion with three options:
1) return to old gens mechanic, so fossils have to be at least partially Rock-type;
2) use Sw/Sh's mechanic, so introduce 4 new components to form 4 different fossils;
3) introduce a totally new mechanic, in this case only one sub* would win, with the new mechanic in it.

In the mean time, you can post to this thread if you have suggestions about this topic or want to discuss your ideas with other users.
Discussion will happen also on our Discord server, which I'll link again HERE.

This little hiatus will last 3 days more, so until Wednesday.

*: As usual, one sub doesn't mean one Pokemon, we'll probably allow any number of fossil Pokémon (maybe up to 5)

In my opinion, I would prefer the old gens mechanic (I don't have any ideas for a new mechanic) because SwSh's mechanic was created to be unique and representative of its region. iirc it was said to be based on the Crystal Palace dinosaurs in England, which is of course what Galar is based on, so I don't think it would be entirely appropriate to use that in Brazdo.

Ok, I guess we're going with the third option, but new mechanic doesn't exclude old mechanics, you can still submit either fossils that work like gen1-7 or like gen8, just everything else is also included lol.
I'm opening the new slate in a few days.

Fossil Pokemon
:rampardos: :aerodactyl: :aurorus:
For this slate, we'll be making this region's new fossil Pokemon. This will be a slate where you're allowed to make a new mechanic if you so please. I'd like to encourage you all to submit more than one family of Pokemon because people will be voting for users rather than individual subs, and all of one user's subs will be added if said user wins. Because of that, you'll also be able to make easy parallels with things like stats or concept if you would like. I will likely end this slate around 7 days from the time of this post with a 48 hour warning in advance. See you then!

This isn't a new gimmick per say, but you know what I think would be really interesting? Fossil Pokémon with branched evolutions.

This Pokémon is revived from a Fossilized Antler.

Name: Antifawn (antifer/antler + fawn)
Type: Rock
Ability: Rattled / Adaptability (HA)
Stats: 46 / 59 / 50 / 57 / 53 / 77 (BST: 342)
Flavor/Design: Antifawn is a small deer-like Pokémon with short, stubby antler-like structures made of rock on the top of its head. This timid Pokémon was once extremely common in the plains of Brazdo, but was believed to have been hunted to extinction by the earliest humans. Its legs are very shaky and it has a hard time walking.

Antifawn evolves into two different Pokémon depending on what Evolution Stone is used on it. If exposed to a Leaf Stone, Antifawn evolves into Cervorest.

Name: Cervorest (cervid + forest)
Counterpart(s): Cervlectric
Type: Rock/Grass
Ability: Sap Sipper / Adaptability (HA)
Stats: 86 / 107 / 81 / 43 / 81 / 97 (BST: 495)
Notable Moves: Horn Leech, Wood Hammer, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Earthquake, High Horsepower, Leaf Blade, Close Combat, Zen Headbutt, High Jump Kick, Seed Bomb, Iron Tail, Grassy Glide, Nature's Wrath
New Features: Nature's Wrath - Grass-type, physical, 120 BP, 100% accuracy, 16 PP, lasts for two to three turns, confuses the user afterwards (Also learned by Seedot and Phantump lines)
Flavor/Design: Cervorest is a large brown elk-like Pokemon with patches of green fur on its body. Its antlers somewhat resemble tree branches and they are covered in leaves. This peaceful Pokemon used to roam all over the forests of Brazdo. It is a gentle giant, but if it sees someone hurting a plant, it will fly into a murderous rage. Ancient humans took advantage of this and hurt plants to lure Cervorest to them, which was how this Pokemon went extinct.
Competitive: Cervorest is a solid physical attacker with respectable Speed and a fairly decent typing. However, its frailty, inability to outspeed common threats, and weaknesses to common moves like U-Turn and Ice Beam limit it to RU at best.

If exposed to a ThunderStone, Antifawn evolves into Cervlectric.

Name: Cervlectric (cervid + electric)
Counterpart(s): Cervorest
Type: Rock/Electric
Ability: Lightning Rod / Adaptability (HA)
Stats: 86 / 43 / 81 / 107 / 81 / 97 (BST: 495)
Notable Moves: Thunderbolt, Thunder, Power Gem, Earth Power, Dazzling Gleam, Meteor Beam, Focus Blast, Flash Cannon, Volt Switch, Meteor Beam, Rising Voltage, Overload
New Features: Overload - Electric-type, special, 130 BP, 90% accuracy, 8 PP, lowers the user's Special Attack by two stages (Also learned by Magnemite, Pichu, Tynamo, and Grubbin lines)
Flavor/Design: Cervlectric is a giant rock elk with patches of yellow fur on its body. Its antlers are pale yellow and smooth. This Pokemon roamed the plains and prairies of ancient Brazdo. Its antlers are able to absorb and conduct electricity, which powers up Cervlectric. Scientists theorized that the reason this Pokemon lived in areas with less trees was that it would increase the chance of it getting hit by lighting during a thunderstorm. However, this also led to Cervlectric's extinction, as it was found too easily by predators.
Competitive: Cervlectric has a solid Special Attack stat and respectable Speed, but it is way too frail, it suffers from a crippling 4x Ground weakness, and its coverage is lackluster. PU.

Origin: Based on antifer, an extinct genus of large deer that lived in South America during the Pleistocene era.

This Pokémon is revived from a Fossilized Paw.

Name: Roccub (rock + cub)
Type: Rock
Ability: Gluttony / Tough Claws (HA)
Stats: 58 / 79 / 45 / 45 / 45 / 67 (BST: 342)
Flavor/Design: Roccub is a small bear-like Pokémon. The tops of its ears and its claws are made of rock. Roccub is incredibly feisty and curious, and loves exploring. However, it is these personality traits that are thought to have led to its extinction, as it ended up having several ill-fated run-ins with early humans.

Roccub evolves into two different Pokémon depending on what Evolution Stone is used on it. If exposed to an Ice Stone, Roccub evolves into Ursartic.

Name: Ursartic (ursa + artic/arctotherium)
Counterpart(s): Urshadow
Type: Rock/Ice
Ability: Slush Rush / Tough Claws (HA)
Stats: 60 / 105 / 115 / 65 / 70 / 80 (BST: 495)
Notable Moves: Icicle Crash, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Close Combat, Outrage, Liquidation, Play Rough, Chilling Claw
New Features: Chilling Claw - Ice-type, physical, 80 BP, 100 accuracy, 16 PP, has a 20% chance of freezing the target (Also learned by Sneasel and Cubchoo lines)
Flavor/Design: Ursartic is a large, quadrupedal bear-like Pokemon with white fur and glowing blue eyes. Its claws are mostly made of rock, but their edges are tipped with ice. Ursartic was once the apex predator of Brazdo's snowy mountains. Its thick fur and tough-padded feet allowed it to traverse the icy landscape with ease, and its hunting prowess was second to none. However, Ursartic's fur was also what made it go extinct, as it was highly prized by ancient humans.
Competitive: Ursartic has great physical stats and coverage, but it is reliant on Slush Rush to fix its subpar Speed, and its typing is horrible defensively. NU at best.

If exposed to a Moon Stone, Roccub evolves into Urshadow.

Name: Urshadow (ursa + shadow)
Counterpart(s): Ursartic
Type: Rock/Dark
Ability: Moxie / Tough Claws (HA)
Stats: 60 / 115 / 70 / 65 / 80 / 105 (BST: 495)
Notable Moves: Throat Chop, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Close Combat, Outrage, Gunk Shot, Savage Strike
New Features: Savage Strike - Dark-type, physical, 85 BP, 100 accuracy, 16 PP, has a 50% chance of lowering target's Defense (Also learned by Pancham, Litten, and Galarian Zigzagoon lines)
Flavor/Design: Urshadow is a large, quadrupedal bear-like Pokémon with black fur and glowing red eyes. Its claws are serrated and made of rock. This ill-tempered Pokémon ruled the ancient nighttimes of Brazdo with an iron paw. Those Pokémon foolish enough to accidentally stumble into an Urshadow's cave wouldn't see the light of day again. Only ancient humans had the guts to take on Urshadow, which eventually led to its extinction.
Competitive: Urshadow has some amazing stats and solid coverage. Its only weaknesses are a 4x weakness to Fighting, and in OU, being outclassed by Tyranitar. UU at least.

Origin: Based on arctotherium, an extinct genus of short-faced bear that lived in South America during the Pleistocene era.

This Pokémon is revived from a Fossilized Shell.

Name: Pebbtodon (pebble + glyptodon)
Type: Rock
Ability: Shell Armor / Thick Fat (HA)
Stats: 30 / 32 / 118 / 32 / 118 / 42 (BST: 350)
Flavor/Design: Pebbtodon is a small armadillo-like Pokémon with a giant rock shell. This Pokémon is of great curiosity to scientists, as it resembles a turtle Pokémon, but is actually more closely related to mammalian Pokémon, particularly Chesnaught. Its shell is extremely hard, which has led some scientists to theorize that it was hunted to extinction by humans who wanted to turn its shell into armor.

Pebbtodon evolves into two different Pokémon based on what Evolution Stone is used on it. If exposed to a Fire Stone, Pebbtodon evolves into Volcadillo.

Name: Volcadillo (volcano + armadillo)
Counterpart(s): Opaldillo
Type: Rock/Fire
Ability: Rock Head / Thick Fat (HA)
Stats: 74 / 128 / 133 / 43 / 65 / 52 (BST: 495)
Notable Moves: Head Smash, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Flare Blitz, Heat Crash, Heavy Slam, Earthquake, Outrage, Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Gyro Ball, Magma Shield
New Features: Magma Shield - Fire-type, Status, 16 PP, +4 priority, protects user from all moves and burns foes who make contact (Also learned by the Slugma line)
Flavor/Origin: Volcadillo is a large armadillo-like Pokémon with a giant volcano on its back. The heat that radiates from Volcadillo's volcano is rumored to be as hot as the core of the Earth. Because of the heat it produced, it had no natural predators, as anything that got close to it would get burnt. However, it also led to its extinction, as the heat scorched the plants that made up its diet.
Competitive: Volcadillo is the quintessential Trick Room mon. It has low Speed, but it hits incredibly hard, and its strongest STAB moves work perfectly with its Ability. However, Trick Room is a niche playstyle, and Volcadillo has two 4x weaknesses to two of the most common types in Water and Ground. NU at best.

If exposed to a Shiny Stone, Pebbtodon evolves into Opaldillo.

Name: Opaldillo (opal + armadillo)
Counterpart(s): Volcadillo
Type: Rock/Fairy
Ability: Regenerator / Thick Fat (HA)
Stats: 70 / 60 / 115 / 70 / 125 / 55 (BST: 495)
Notable Moves: Power Gem, Moonblast, Flash Cannon, Stealth Rock, Body Press, Moonlight, Spikes, Iron Defense, Pattern Swirl
New Features: Pattern Swirl - Fairy-type, Status, 16 PP, confuses the target (Also learned by Kecleon)
Flavor/Origin: Opaldillo is a large armadillo-like Pokémon. Its shell is covered in bright, pastel-colored swirls. Opaldillo has the ability to change the colors of the pattern on its shell. If cornered by a predator, Opaldillo will rapidly change its shell patterns, blinding and disorienting the foe and allowing it to escape. It is though that the patterns on Opaldillo's shell inspired the invention of paint, as ancient humans were mesmerized by the vivid colors and sought to recreate them. However, the desire for Opaldillo's shell also drove it to extinction.
Competitive: Opaldillo is basically Carbink, but 100 times better. It has one of the best ablities in the game, fantastic defensive stats, and an excellent supportive movepool. Its only major downside is a 4x weakness to Steel, but there aren't that many offensive Steel-types in the meta. Definetely an OU staple.

Origin: This line is based on glyptodon, a species of extinct mammal that lived in South America and was closely related to the modern-day armadillo.

Notable Moves: Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Psychic Fangs, Earthquake, Lash Out, Agility, Stealth Rock, Will-O-Wisp, Extrasensory, Meteor Beam, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Power Gem, Psychic, Psyshock, Earth Power, Shadow Ball, Work Up, Wild Charge, Shock Wave, Crunch
New Features: N/A
Flavour/Design: Based on the Irritator (a dinosaur species) and crocodiles. Scientists say that these Pokémon were extremely temperamental, especially since they often lived near and even hunted Water-type fish Pokémon. Though scientists aren't exactly sure how, they're certain that whenever even a drop of Water touched they're scales, they'd go into a frenzy. Scientists have been unable to locate skull fossils for this Pokémon, so they replaced it with some rock in order to obtain the expected head shape.
Potential Competitive Role: God, I really wanted to make this a Water/Rock Head Smasher when I initially found out about the Irritator dinosaur, but alas, Arapaitan is a starter and we probably shouldn't outclass it, so here we are. Fire/Rock is an amazing offensive typing, so even with all around pretty bad stats, good 110 Speed and 90 Attack and great coverage should give Irrigator a niche in lower tiers.

Irrigator becomes Irrigator-Completed when it holds a Missing Bone in battle. The move Extrasensory becomes Pressure Cook when it changes form. (This mechanic essentially acts like Zacian and Zamazenta's Sword/Shield)

Name: Irrigator-Completed

New Features -
Name: Hot-Headed
Effect: Every time this Pokémon is hit with a move, its critical hit ratio goes up by 1
Distribution: Irrigator-Completed

Name: Pressure Cook
Type:

Base Points: 70
Power Points: 32
Category: Special
Accuracy: 100%
Miscellaneous: N/A
Effect: Super effective on Water
Distribution - Irrigator-Completed
If a Smeargle sketches the move, the following Pokemon can get it from breeding: Spoink line, Darumaka line, Oranguru, Woobat line, Pikipek line (chain breed), Espurr line

Flavour/Design: Scientists have finally located the missing skull bone needed to complete the Irrigator fossil and it wasn't quite what they expected. The scientists found that Irrigator's skull and teeth weren't as dense as expected. Instead, Irrigator's skull is much bigger than expected, but also much less durable, which allows Irrigator to have space for its large brain. With its large brain, it's able to hone its constant anger into the ability to KO fish Pokémon from afar by pressure cooking them and the Water around them.
Potential Competitive Role: With that typing and that coverage and that 135 Special Attack stat, you can't sleep on this thing. Sure, it can't hold a boosting item like, say, Chandelure, who's stats are fairly similar, but its coverage and access to Agility should make up for it.
Name: Galapagunk (Galapagos + Gunk)
Counterpart(s): Galapagunk-Completed
Fossil: Toxic Fossil
Typing:

Ability: Solid Rock / Poison Point (HA)
Base Stats: 70 / 50 / 110 / 90 / 90 / 50 (460 BST)
Notable Moves: Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Power Gem, Earth Power, Focus Blast, Shell Smash, Body Press, Stealth Rock, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Cross Chop, Superpower, Cross Poison, Gunk Shot, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Skitter Smack, Curse, Iron Defense
New Features: N/A
Flavour/Design: Based on the extinct species of Galapagos tortoises. Scientists say that these Pokémon had poisonous shells they'd use to kill nearby plants because they could actually eat the poisoned plants while other, faster Pokémon couldn't, giving them a surprising amount of territorial control. Thus, scientists assume that, even though their actual bodies are small, these Pokémon had large, heavy shells that made them bulky but very slow, though full fossils of their shells have never been found.
Potential Competitive Role: Despite its flavor, this thing is likely best as a lower tier Shell Smasher with an interesting STAB combo, good coverage, and passable Special Attack and Speed to get the job done. There's also Body Press, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, and Stealth Rock, if you want support options.

Galapagunk becomes Galapagunk-Completed when it holds a Missing Bone in battle. The move Cross Poison becomes Poison Dart when it changes form. (This mechanic essentially acts like Zacian and Zamazenta's Sword/Shield)

New Features -
Name: Venom Vision
Effect: When a Pokémon hits this Pokémon with a contact move, their Evasiveness goes down by 1 stage
Distribution: Galapagunk-Completed

Name: Poison Dart
Type:

Base Points: 40
Power Points: 48
Category: Physical
Accuracy: 100%
Miscellaneous: Contact
Effect: +1 priority and has a 10% to poison the target
Distribution - Galapagunk-Completed
If a Smeargle sketches the move, the following Pokemon can get it from breeding: Mienfoo line, Croagunk line (chain breed), Ekans line, Seviper, Trapinch line (chain breed), Skorupi line (chain breed)

Flavour/Design: Scientists have finally located the missing shell bone needed to complete the Galapagunk fossil and it wasn't quite what they expected. The scientists found that Galapagunk's shell is actually very small, close to the size of their actual body in fact. Thus, it's likely that were able to cover so much territory by riding on their poisonous shells, poisoning all the plants around them to prevent other Pokemon from eating them, before taking its time to eat them all eventually
Potential Competitive Role: Fast Toxic Spiker or the fastest Shell Smash user in the game with an ability that gives it insurance on its lower accuracy moves if you take a hit.

Name: Sabresar (saber + presa, Portuguese for fang)
Typing:
Base form

Esperta (smart) form

Forte (tough) form

Rapido (fast) form

Abilities:
Base form: Inner Focus / Moxie (HA)
Esperta form: Trace / Intimidate (HA)
Forte form: Sturdy / Stamina (HA)
Rapido form: Slush Rush / Sand Rush (HA)
Base Stats:
Base form: 74 / 111 / 70 / 62 / 70 / 88 (475)
Esperta form: 74 / 116 / 70 / 62 / 90 / 98 (510)
Forte form: 74 / 111 / 100 / 62 / 75 / 88 (510)
Rapido form: 74 / 116 / 70 / 62 / 70 / 118 (510)
Notable Moves: Crunch, Stone Edge, Earthquake, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Stealth Rock, Hone Claws, Slack Off, Superpower, Play Rough, U-turn, Shadow Claw, Wild Charge, Psychic Fangs (Esperta form only), Foul Play (Forte form only), Icicle Crash (Rapido form only)
Height/Weight:
Base form: 1 m / 60 kg
Esperta form: 1.3 m / 65 kg
Forte form: 2 m / 100 kg
Rapido form: 1 m / 50 kg
Flavour/Design: Revived from a Fang Fossil. Sabresar changes form by interacting with science lab objects in the game, similar to Deoxys or Rotom. Sabresar changes to Esperta form when interacting with an object associated with the brain/intelligence, Forte form with a tough bone or other hard object, and Rapido form with a fridge or cryo-oriented object. Sabresar forms also have a form-specific move, which follows the same mechanics as Rotom form moves. If switched back to the base form with only a form-specific move, it turns into Bite.
Each of Sabresar's forms is based on a different genus of saber-tooth cat. Sabresar's base form is a standard saber-tooth cat like the Homotherium, the Esperta form is based on the Thylacosmilus which has a unique beard-like protrusion on its lower jaw, the Forte form is based on the Smilodon which is biggest and stockiest, and the Rapido form is based on the Holophoneus which was sleek-bodied with a longer tail. All of these existed in South America.
Competitive: The Esperta form has Intimidate to assist its lower physical bulk, and a good attack stat alongside its decent speed. The Forte form has Stamina to boost its defense and Slack Off for recovery. The Rapido form has high speed and attack along with a strong offensive typing and great coverage in Stone Edge/Icicle Crash/Earthquake. All forms have access to Stealth Rock, Hone Claws which goes well with moves like Stone Edge or Icicle Crash, and U-turn for pivoting.

I based these pokemon on three giant fossils found by Charles Darwin on his trip to South America. Finding these fossils and comparing them to local animals helped him formulate the theory or evolution. I decided to make them single stage pokemon since it allows the fossils you find to be "Giant" fossils, which recalls the history of them. I see these working like the gen 1 fossils, with the player having a choice of fossil once per playthrough.
Name: Armadoe
Fossil: Giant Shell Fossil
Typing:

Ability: Sturdy / Shell Armor | Rough Skin (HA)
Base Stats: 90 / 135 / 150 / 45 / 55 / 30 | 505 BST
Weight: 752 kg
Notable Moves: Spike Tail, Earthquake, Superpower, Body Press, Heavy Slam, Gyro Ball, Dragon Tail, Explosion, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Curse, Iron Defense
New Features: Spike Tail | Rock | Physical | 110 BP | 90% Acc. | 5-8 PP | No secondary effect
Flavour/Design: Based on a giant armadillo, namely Doedicurus which has a club-like tail which may have had spikes on it. I think it's a distinctive enough animal that the design can be pretty close to the animal (with some rock-like attributes), and still make for a decent pokemon.
Potential Competitive Role: Potential Cutsap Berry lead with dual hazards and Sturdy. Unlike Skarmory it has strong offense, and Explosion to block Rapid Spin or Defog. You could also run a Rocky Helmet set and try to use it in a more balanced fashion, but I think that would be hard to pull off.
Name: Slotherium
Fossil: Giant Claw Fossil
Typing:

Ability: Sap Sipper / Filter | Tough Claws (HA)
Base Stats: 110 / 110 / 100 / 45 / 100 / 40 | 505 BST
Weight: 870 kg
Notable Moves: Tear Down, Earthquake, Superpower, Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Heavy Slam, Throat Chop, Stealth Rock, Slack Off, Swords Dance, Curse
New Features: Tear Down | Rock | Physical | 85 BP | 100% Acc. | 10-16 PP | Applies Smack Down effect (but doesn't hit pokemon that have used Fly)
Flavour/Design: Based on Megatherium, a giant sloth, which is thought to have used its huge claws to pull small trees and brances down so it could eat the leaves.
Potential Competitive Role: A bulky tank that can set up with Curse and survive a good amount of hits thanks to Filter. Alternately, you can run it more offensively with Tough Claws boosting Tear Down and many of its coverage moves.
Name: Roxodon
Fossil: Giant Rib Fossil
Typing:

Ability: Sap Sipper / Static | Serene Grace (HA)
Base Stats: 80 / 120 / 100 / 55 / 80 / 70 | 505 BST
Weight: 788 kg
Notable Moves: Static Slam, Stone Edge, Wild Charge, Zing Zap, Nuzzle, Volt Switch, Earthquake, Superpower, Heavy Slam, Crunch, Super Fang, Stealth Rock, Bulk Up, Taunt
New Features: Static Slam | Rock | Physical | 85 BP | 100% Acc. | 10-16 PP | 30% chance to Paralyze
Flavour/Design: Based on Toxodon, an ancestor of various hooved mammals native to South America. Despite not being a rodent, it had constantly growing front teeth, so I decided to give it some rodent-like flavor to differentiate it from the other two fossil pokemon.
Potential Competitive Role: A dangerous spreader of Paralysis that can pair well with other slow pokemon or Hex users. It can flinch down Paralyzed targets with Zing Zap, and paralyze Ground-types with its signature Rock-type move. Ground types are still solid answers to it, and its Speed and typing don't do it many favors.

I had intended to post the 48 hour warning yesterday but completely misremembered the day I made my first post. 48 hours remain, make sure you give your subs any final changes if needed!

Next slate will go up soon, feel free to discussthe winners until then!

:bw/thundurus: Pseudo, Minor & Mythical :bw/landorus:
:kommo-o:
Legendaries :metagross:
:swsh/manaphy:

Ok guys, we're ready for next Slate, and it might be the last one with proper categories. Then we'll proceed to decide new Items to introduce, while we add some free slots for random Pokémon. In the mean time, we are now at the conclusion of our pokedex, last numbers are set and they're gonna be filled with memorable Pokémon concepts.
This Slate we'll introduce all the last legendary and mythical Pokémon we need to complete the lore of the Brazdo region.

You can submit for 3 categories:
  1. Pseudo-Legendary: 1 line of three Pokémon, BSTs are set to 300-350, 420-450 and 600 for the stages; counterparts and branched evolutions are not allowed, just 1 line per submission, regional formes are allowed (but not suggested lol).
  2. Minor Legendaries: any number less than 6 Pokémon is allowed for this, but they all must be related; most of the subs must have a 570-600 BST, but you're allowed to introduce 1 or 2 elements with a lower number; a duo, trio or quartet is very suggested, and they'll obviously be voted as a single sub, so make them related (if you have an idea that needs more than 5 Pokémon, feel free to submit it, we'll evaluate allowing it).
  3. Mythical Legendary: 1 or 2 Pokémon, with 600 or less BST; in case one of them is related with one of your minor legendaries (see Darkrai&Cresselia), they'll be voted as a single submission; if you go for 2 Pokémon, counterparts are allowed but not necessary, and you get to choose if they have to be voted together or singularly.
Submission Phase will last for 7 days as usual.
On a side note, with the recent inactivity of kakaks, we're guessing he's not interested anymore in this Pet Mod (no problem), so we're opening a slot for a new member of the council. If you want to join us, either contact me or DuoM2.

EDIT (!!!):

I forgot another time to say, you're also allowed to submit an exclusive move for any of the starters. Check out the spreadsheet for more details on their typings, stats and abilities.

Happy Easter everybody!
