I am not that sure of the Spurs making it to the finals even though they are a good team. They have not won two years straight through all there titles in the last ten years or so. I think that if the Mavericks might be able to beat them. I hated that penalty last year against the Suns in the playoffs. The suns might have beat them out. Those two were really the only good teams left after the mavericks got knocked out. I like seeing the Cavaliers make it to the finals last year. This year the Celtics look pretty good, only losing to Detroit by two at home. They got really lucky in getting those three, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce was actually already there. My favorite team is the Kings even though they aren't very good anymore, too many injuries as well. Bibby and Kevin Martin are out, also Ron Artest.

Argh, my second most hated player (#1 Carmelo Anthony!) was the reason the Celtics won one of the biggest regular season matchups in a while. Fucking Glen Davis ahhhh!

I went to the TrailBlazers game last night, and it was an amazing one. Webster scored 24 points just in the third quarter. The Blazers were actually down at halftime, but just ruined the Jazz in the second half. With 2:00 left in the fourth the Blazers were up by 20. Good times.

I'm really disappointed in the Suns. True they are 23-10, but they didn't lose their tenth game until Feburary(or was it March?) The Blazers and the Hornet are the surprises of the West this year, and I'm really disappointe with the Rockets(Trade T-Mac!). Jeff Van Gundy is happy, I bet, he'll get a coaching job next year for sure. The Spurs, as much as I hate them, are cruising along, why can't the Suns do that? The next thing you know, Gran Hill wil break his ankles(again) and be out the rest of the season. The Clippers are sucking, but Chris Kaman should play in the All-Star Game. Have you seen him play? Without him, the Clips would be even worse then they are now.
Celtics is on pace to win 74 games, which would be even more than the Bulls in 95-96. Speaking of the Bulls,I don't think Scott Skiles deserved to be fired, the players weren't listening to him and he's a good defensive minded coach. The Knicks are getting lots of attention as well, but as usual, it's the off-court issues. Fire Isiah Thomas, does the entire league have to spell it out for you, Jim Dolan? Miami definitely wins the most disappointing team award, I mean, they're only 18 months removed from a Championship, Pat Riley better get his act together before D-Wade's had enough. They're even worse than the Knicks, for christs sake. And I really hope Atlanta makes the playoffs, they probably won't get far, but they have talented players and Joe Johnson(the Suns should've kept him, Boris Diaw is playing like he's afraid of the ball), one of the most underrated SGs in the league. That pretty much sums it up.

guys help what the fuck did lebron do to my raptors PLEASE someone answer me.

Detroit is the best team in the NBA at the moment, check the power rankings :]

power rankings mean nothing. they are just opinions by sports journalists. go to espn and check those PR's, and then check the ones at SI. i can almost guarantee you they are different.

edit: to jackal: apparently some chicks were hassling bron bron, so he dropped 24 on the raptors in the 4th quarter alone. if you see a tape of the post game interview, lebron actually says that the chicks who were giving him a hard time were what made the raptors lose. he got pissed and went crazy

MAVERICKS PISTONS game of the week!

Chris Kaman is an ANIMAL - What precedent do you have for a guy going from 10.1 to 18.1 points per game, 7.8 to 14.0 rebounds per game (the most amazing increase), 1.1 to 2.1 assists per game, and 1.5 to 2.9 blocks per game! True, he increased turnovers badly, from about 2 to about 3, but personal fouls are about the same, and his shooting percentages are both up. This is just insane.

R2-D2, how are you disappointed in a team that is 23-10? That has to do with your false expectations, and nothing more!

Lol he raped them THATS what he did xD wow it was just an impressive performance by lebron, the 4tj quarter i mean, in the 1st 3 air balls were flying around, until Bosh's girl ticked him off and he got inspired to win lol thats why i like lebron, he could play bad an entire game and then suddenly became the greatest player ever =]

I've been a Lakers fan pretty much all my life, because when I started liking basketball everyone loved Jordan and the Bulls so they wanted to be different :) (same with gridiron and my beloved Patriots, don't shoot me :D).

The Lakers always get off to a good start but this year I believe its different. It ain't the Kobe Show anymore which is great, although he's still playing well. Based on the year so far, and especially the last month, Andrew Bynum is easily one of the best 5 centres in the west (and I have his actual myspace :), thanks SLAM). Our bench is the best in the league in most peoples opinion, with guys like Jordan Farmar, Sasha Vujacic (yep he's not a complete dud), Kwame Brown (well yes he is a dud, but still plays good D) and Ronny Turiaf (who's as much fun on the bench as off it) not being a step down from the starters. Yes, Boston is the best team in the league at the moment and Detroit and San Antonio will no doubt be the teams to beat in the playoffs but I got the feeling my Lakers are capable of doing something special.

EDIT:

Haha anyone who woulda predicted Glen Davis' to be the top scorer for the Celts this game would either have to be related to him or in an insane asylum. Good job by the young fella though.

the lakers are decent this year (still hate him as a boston fan), i think they'll get 47-50 wins on the season. Bynum is becoming a legit center, and in combination with kobe, odom, and good defense they're decent. The celts still put them in their place twice this season already, but i would LOVE a celts lakers finals, how fun would that be.

I'm loving my Hawks this year.

I knew they'd bounce back after like 5 seasons of complete turmoil (uhh...)

Seriously though, Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, and Marvin Williams are a great tandem and I feel we definitely have potential this year despite being one of the younger teams in the NBA.

Also, that situation with the Heat is pretty pointless....
The Heat suck, why do they want to lose twice?

My problem is that they're underachiving. Since they're playing their starters 33-38 minutes a game, they should be doing much better. Grant Hill is a huge upgrade from James Jones, and Brian Skinner is filling in like Kurt Thomas was last year. They're not playing with a lot of heart right now, it's like the games don't mean anything to them. Also I'm a bit pissed at D'antoni because he doesn't play any of their younger players unless its a blowout, unlike the other good/elite teams, such as the Spurs and Pistons. True, they're 25-11 now, but at this pace they're on pace to win 57 games, which isn't bad, but when you consider the fact that the Suns won 5 games less in the second half of last season, that number speaks for itself.

The suns, imo, need to step up their game. A little late, but how did the Celtics lose to Charlotte?

combination of:
low energy
bs calls
J-rich making insanely difficult shots
everybody having a bad shooting night

yeah all that, but its only one game, the best of the best never sweep everybody.

But to Charlotte? That's a bit hard to believe

Seriously, Boston only has the best record because it both plays in the weakest area (East) and has 3 very good players: Ray Allen, Kevin Garnet (sp?), and Paul Pierce. Compare this to the top teams in the West, which has numerous great teams and players (Suns, Spurs, Mavericks, Lakers, etc). So yeah, Celtics are a bit overrated imo.

Oh yeah, GO SUNS!

jamario moon is going to rape the slam dunk competition. Should be exciting!

Celtics are overrated imo.

But then again I'm a bitter anti-Boston sports fan, like any other normal human being on the planet, atm.

same

I got Houston to win it all this year. The reason they didnt get past Utah last year in the finals was because they didnt get any bench production. In Game 4, I think they only got like 4 points off the bench. They probably could have beaten Golden State too with a health Tmac. This year they can only get better with all their guards helping and Luis Scola on the boards to help Yao.
