Tournament BLT VIII: Week 7

Not open for further replies.
After this week, I'll only have to predict for 1 or 2 sets, it's been fun.
Now, doing 30 matches for the last time, Predicts: Late Edition! (again)

Lavender Laprases (7) vs Turffield Turtwigs (3) (turts, why?)

Ubers: velvet vs Decem - Happened already, though this is what I originally predicted as Decem himself stated: "ive never played this tier in my life before".
OU: Not Miyan vs Harshal_08 - Both have had good blt performances so far, as they both have positive records. From what I've seen of their performances, I think harshal has had the more solid wins. Because of that, I'm giving harshal the edge, but I wouldn't be surprised if Not Miyan wins.
OU: henguinie vs Serene Grace - While I haven't seen whether or not Serene Grace can actually play OU gracefully, I hear he actually can play ou and has some tour experience with it. Bdlol isn't really an ou main themselves but I do feel they play more of the tier. That being said, I think I'll give this to serene because I feel serene is the better player overall.
UU: queso vs udongirl - Ah yes, food vs food girl as I like to call it. I'm going to base this on performance so far, and what I know about them as a player. Udongirl is positive, though their performance hasn't been very impressive overall, and I don't know how well they'll transition to uu after having only played pu and nu so far. Cheese on the other hand is neutral, having played dou and uu, though cheese's 2 losses can be blamed on the stacked doubles pool. Comparing the 2 players, cheese should be better and more experienced, so I believe he wins here. Besides, I've never had udon, but I do enjoy several types of cheese.
RU: Mac3 vs Wubben - Wubben is what you call a room tours regular, while mac is what you call a not so regular ru goat. Mac should be fine here.
NU: Xiri vs 100%GXE - Definitely the biggest hl match of the week. If anyone's gonna be able to put a stop to this guy's undefeated streak, its gxe, if he TRIES that is. Xiri is absolutely goated in nu, no doubt, but gxe will be their toughest oppo yet, being as ridiculously good and versatile as he is. If gxe plays his best and preps for this, I think he should win. However, I'm pretty much saying this is half and half, as Xiri is seriously goated too, and they'll likely try hard to beat gxe with playoffs on the line. GO GXE!
PU: tlenit vs mammalu - Turtwigs, seriously, what is up with your lineup? Why would you put the dou main who has played nothing but dou all blt in pu? One of them being an experienced pu main and the other being a doubles main, I think the pu main should win.
LC: Surfy vs TeamCharm - Made a predict for this, had to get rid of it cause they played. Should have known charm would bring a weird meme team.
DOU: Zoaw vs Demykunst - First I questioned if Zoaw plays dou, now I question if Demykunst plays dou. The only thing I know about demy is that they're winless across more than 1 tier, while Zoaw has actually shown they can play doubles well having beat solid doubles mains like TTT and RKD. So I think Zoaw should get another win here.
Monotype: ChessRobot vs StitChuu - Hard to really say, but I think for once I'll pick the chess playing robot. They may not be the best but they do play mono and have won 3 games, while stitch likewhores more than actually playing mons. No offense stitch, I'm rooting for you, but predict wise I'm favoring chess here.

Celestic Town Celesteelas (8) vs Anistar Articunos (2) (whoa, I initially predicted 9-1 here)

Ubers: zokua2908 vs Trade - Trade is one of the best players in the entire tour, a truly goated goat. I give zokua a 2.908% chance of winning. That being a 97.092% chance for Trade so the answer should be clear.
OU: Stareal vs crying - Very hype hl match. Both are great ou mains with mostly good performances so far and I expect this to be quite close. However, Star has the better record, and the better performances imo, so I'll give star the edge only slightly, and I wouldn't be surprised if inolife wins. If this match goes as predicted, perhaps inolife, or crying in this case, will be true to their name after losing to star.
Update: Match happened. Inolife won, star is actually the one crying. (I originally had star bolded but changed it to inolife since they won before this was posted)
OU: Pradhaaan vs Mikaav - Prad, like star, is also a great ou player who has had a good performance so far. Mikaav on the other hand is an lc player, who I'm pretty sure is decent overall outside of lc. However, this tier is Prad's domain, so he should dominate and win.
UU: avarice vs RoyalReloaded - Avarice as a player is really good. His luck however, is the bitter opposite. Based on what I've seen from both of these players, RoyalReloaded's only 2 wins were kinda haxy, and while avarice's only win was also haxy, I think avarice is the better player and should win if this is a clean game. Key word: "If".
RU: TheFranklin vs RKD - Who would win? A goat and the best ru player in the tour with the possible exception of Kyotoshi, or one doubles main? Contrary to how the meme format usually goes, RU goat arce9 should have no problem winning this.
NU: saba1111 vs Nout - Saba isn't exactly an nu player, but he's a great player overall and has plenty of versatility, while nout is nout the best. Saba has played several tiers over the course of this blt and while his current record is nout the greatest... Nout only played 1 week and lost. Due to the fact we haven't seen too much of nout, I'm nout saying they're bad, but I believe saba is the better player here and should nout have a problem winning this.
PU: Splash vs moesi - Similar to avarice, splash is a case of great player, poor record. However, splash is actually facing an opponent with a similar record to himself. I haven't seen moesi outside of room tours and blt, while I know splash is a good and very experienced player. This, combined with the fact that moesi has been playing only ru so far, while splash has stayed in pu, I think splash should finally get another win.
LC: Crow Music vs PrinceOfAllTacos - This is tough to call. Both players here have had a pretty abysmal blt so far with pretty bad records. I think poat is the better overall player here, but crow plays lc and I believe they're pretty decent at it. Since I'm pretty sure poat doesn't play lc at all, I'm gonna give this to Crow Music.
DOU: LTG vs lvl100Blaziken - Tough one. LTG has a history of playing doubles, and I think were alright. I hear talk of fragments being in 2v2 seasonal or something and thinking that skill could transfer over, but I honestly doubt it transfers over that much. Comparing 2v2 to Dou is like Comparing 1v1 to normal singles imo. Being more of a doubles main, and if he actually lets his goated teammate crunchman provide support, I think LTG should win. Although this is really a tossup because Fragments could have support from RKD as well.
Monotype: giove97 vs lkapkd1 - Giove is good when she tries her best, and she does have a history of playing mono, so I think she should win here, unless lkap either haxes or cheeses, or both.

Sunyshore Snorlaxes (4) vs Bayern Munchlaxes (6) - The laxes will beat the laxes :)

Ubers: FatFighter2 vs 7u9i2 - Hl match, and what I believe could be a close one. Both are great ubers players with the exact same record. However, I feel fat has performed a bit better, as I believe he has also beaten the better opponents while 7u9i2 did get lucky in some of his games. So for this reason, I believe DietNeedyDueler2 should win this, and due to the fact the snorlaxes are pretty much out, fat will stop being subjected to my many variations for his username from this point on... for now.
OU: Failures vs ToastedBunzzz02 - This should be really close. I believe both of them have neutral records and both of them are very good players. Failures is probably the more ou oriented player, being an actual ou main, though Toasted has played all 6 previous weeks of blt, and I feel they've had the more impressive wins compared to failures. For this reason I'll slightly favor toasted but failures might have a good chance at winning, wouldn't be surprised at all if they do.
OU: Roginald vs Yugon - Two players with pretty abysmal records and overall underwhelming performances so far. From what I've seen of both players, and comparing them, I've seen more of Rogi and I have been more impressed by him in the past. So, I believe Rogi is the better player here and should win.
UU: TheGreenRoman vs Expulso - I might be wrong but I don't believe tgr is a concrete main in any tier, and he is an alright player overall. While Expulso is very solid in lower tiers and is an overall great player, so I think the green roman will become the black and blue roman, because that's how bad Expulso will beat him. Ok, that was a little harsh sounding, point is Expulso should win.
RU: EternalSnowman vs yovan33321 - Hl match. This should be close. Both are great ru players, though I believe esm is probably the better player with his versatility. Yovan has had a relatively good blt so far, being neutral and having lost to only the 3 ru goats of the tour, while InfiniteIceguy is negative, with one of his 2 wins being pretty lucky with sleep talk. I believe yovan has had the better performance so far, so I'll favor yovan here only slightly. I can easily see esm winning here too, and wouldn't be surprised if he does win.
NU: daniYSB vs roxiee - Hl match again! These two, despite being well known nu mains, haven't had the best performances so far. Roxiee has the better record so far, but I think dani is the better player. Having played and won vs both of them, I think roxiee gave me more trouble, but I feel dani played better. Once again, because I feel dani is the better player here, I'm picking dani.
PU: Z Strats vs gum - Makes sense that laxes vs laxes has the most hl matches, cause this is yet another hl match. Both are great players, and while I feel Last letter Strategies is better overall, gum has more pu experience and knowledge, so I imagine Z strats will find themselves in a sticky situation. Gum, being the cause of said sticky situation, should win this unchewed, though I think it will be close.
LC: BigBoy038 vs p4P1//0n - This should be a good one. Both are great lc players and have had good blts so far, so I think this should be close. I've been a bit more impressed by pap's performance so far, although BigBoy will be a tough opponent with the years of experience he has. I'll slightly favor pap here based on blt performance, but upset is possible.
DOU: LightScreener vs Shadowmonstr7 - The 7th Monstr lurking among the shadows... I make that sound menacing but his blt has been pretty underwhelming tbh. Lightscreener is currently neutral but I must say I've been pretty impressed by some of their wins. Both players are known to be solid doubles mains, so I could see this going either way, but I think I'll give Lightscreener the edge based on better performance. Light can get rid of shadows, but sometimes... it can end up creating more.
Monotype: Hys vs Meta - Meta is a goat in mono and one of only 2 players who are undefeated after playing all 6 previous weeks. Talk about knowing the meta, am I right? Hys is winless, having played only twice and one of these losses was to lkap. With this, meta will go from 6-0 to 7-0, holy sh*t.

That's all folks! Thanks for reading and see you for playoff predicts next week.

Also, happy birthday lvl100Blaziken

(Apologies to anyone I may have possibly offended, please do not take these very seriously.)
