Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl - Release 19th Nov 2021

Yes. Freaking Sylveon so Reddit can shut up about it.
Uh oh.

I dont visit Twitter often anymore for my own reasons but sometimes I do get recommended Tweets in my notifs, some being from Centro

If I never saw his Twitter account again it'd be too soon.

A lot of his """leaks""" are flat out bullshit, stuff we already knew, or stuff a toddler could predict.

Thread so far:
"Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are made with the Unity game engine! This has resulted in a lot of structural changes with how data is stored compared to Sword & Shield's data storage.

Moves that were unavailable in Sword & Shield have partially made a return in these games; Hidden Power is back!?

As other leaks have previously indicated, a Mew and Jirachi are given in the games (both shiny-locked, 3 flawless IVs).

Data for species above 493 are not in the game. These remakes are quite faithful to the originals, so no future-gen form variants -- Platinum forms DO exist.

Special quirks from the originals also make a return, such as the increased/decreased encounter rates on certain days."

I don't know what coding in Unity means from a technical standpoint other than using a different engine is weird and it's going to cause enough differences to annoy Smogon's Research and Programing teams. Good luck guys.

I'd say RIP dreams of Struggle Unown, but you can just use Hidden Power's PP if you want one. I know it's not the same though.

I was a little worried about being locked into all 31s or something after recent event Pokemon, but people that care about 0 Atk and/or Spe IVs can get them!

Remember how much I was roasting this game about Flint? I take back Flint being the worst possible thing. Sylveon deserved to be in this!

Encounters based on time is returning, but certain days? Unless it's just the Drifloon, that's new. Wouldn't be surprised if the Underground was affected by different days.
Edit: Didn't know about that minor detail. I'm starting to feel like being faithful is almost a meme at this point.
Are held items faithful as well? This could be interesting.

They included all the cool code designs. Hopefully they're available from the start.
Of all the ways to be faithful, that's an odd way.

I didn't realize I missed Box Wallpapers.

Specifically this is referring to the discovery last year about how Gen 4 has faster egg hatching and higher/lower encounter rates on certain important dates which ILCA was apparently faithful to, you can see a quoted retweet if you go into the thread,

So does this mean there's no regionals in the game? Huge bummer if so
I doubt it considering there's no minisprites for them, unless you want to hold out hope for the day 1 patch.
