SPOILERS! Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Data Dumps

These level-up movepools suck.

With TMs being back to single-use and the lack of important TM options like Wild Charge, Icicle Crash, Play Rough, the Elemental Punches and Fangs, and Seed Bomb, I don't envy whoever runs this vanilla with no trades.

My boy Shinx still out there eating cereal with water!!! :psycry:

Egg moves will be helpful if inheritance between parents is included like SwSh. Then we can get a Sneasel with Ice Punch!

Looks like someone found the region origin strings, so maybe there ARE transfers, down the line.
I'll play the devil's advocate here and say that Let's Go has the same strings

300030x7533the Kanto region
300040x7534the Johto region
300050x7535the Hoenn region
300060x7536the Sinnoh region
300070x7537a distant land

300090x7539the Unova region
300100x753Athe Kalos region

300120x753CPokémon GO
300130x753Dthe Kanto region
300140x753Ethe Hoenn region
300150x753Fthe Alola region
300160x7540Poké Pelago
300170x7541the Johto region

So the presence of them doesn't necessarily mean anything one way or the other

After all, it's much easier to keep data and not use it, than go through the hassle of removing it. We will learn how this will work when it becomes compatible with HOME...

*regretfully removes Shieldon from the "to use" list* (unless I get one via Wonder Trade)

You know we've known Shieldon is a Pearl exclusive for a long, long time, right?

Still waiting for the Underground mechanics dump, if there even is one. I'm still not even sure whether you can find Platinum-exclusive mons before the postgame...

I'm not surprised at no IoA tutors but I am surprised that the Elemental Hyper Beams are gone. Maybe just overlooked those?
I sure did!

They suck anyway.
Elemental Hyper Beams are listed under Final Stage starter evos just like Draco Meteor is for Dragons. They are still there.

I've been looking through a lot of the data and it seems like there might be fair bit of chaining for certain egg moves as well. I do t think there is anything particularly relevant, but they have added back egg moves from Gen 7 or before which vanished in Gen 8.

At least we have Smeargle back for egg move shenanigans (here's hoping breeding works like SwSh and we can transfer moves that way?)

Does anyone have the data dumps for move stats from SWSH dlc2? I only have the dumps from the 1st dlc & pre-dlc, and I'm trying to compare the data against the SDBP dumps.

Yung Dramps

awesome gaming
I wonder what’s the point of Ice Stone despite no Pokémon in main game aside of Eevee in SwSh could make a use of it?

Earlier obtention for Glaceon once you got an Eevee provided you persisted in Grand Underground?
Oh yeah, do Magnezone and the Gen 4 Eeveelutions still have their retconned SWSH evo methods or are they back to being location-based?

Seems like it
The data hasn't been put into "plain text" or anything, but checking the big list magneton has 2 evolution methods
25,0,462,0,0 8,83,462,0,0
25 would be the location, 8 would be stone evolution, and 83 would be the Thunderstone

if we check eevee...

8,85,470,0,0 //Leafeon
8,849,471,0,0 //Glaceon
26,0,470,0,0 //Leafeon
27,0,471,0,0 //Glaceon
8,83,135,0,0 //jolteon
8,84,134,0,0 //Vaporeon
8,82,136,0,0 //Flareon
2,0,196,0,0 //Espeon
3,0,197,0,0 //Umbreon

Incidentally Nosepass only evolves at Mt Coronet lol

At least they have a frontier brain MIDI.
EDIT: Actually this was probably fake/just a random midi since it was posted before the leaks.
EDIT 2: Actually twitter didn't account for daylight savings time but I'm still going to check for myself.

You have some choices here.
