I voted for Grass because I haven't seen too many of them in competitive battle except Roserade, Breloom, and Celebi. Correct me if theres more xD
Okay, new Pokemon won out. Here are the percentages and such (bold votes only and counting people who bolded their vote changes):
51 votes - 57.30% New Pokemon
38 votes - 42.70% Evo Pokemon
Clearly, the new Pokemon option wins.
The problem with Ghost/Steel is that, defensively it's even better than Ghost/Psychic. Fighting and Bug moves hit Metagross and Bronzong neutral, while our Hypothetical Ghost/Steel is immune to the first and x4 resistant to the second. I don't think we need a better Bronzong or Metagross, personally.
Also, I voted for fighting because it's an interesting type for developing a pokemon concept around. Capoeira pokemon ftw.
I'm gonna do a ten percent floor on this. All options with 10% or less are dropped. We have the survivers poll it out in a shorter poll.
Reason for floor change: 100% / 10 = 10%, not 25%.
so as of now electric, fighting, ground, rock, poison (lol) and psychic are eliminated, correct? that leaves us with dark, fire, ghost, and grass. how is the secondary poll going to work for clarification? you can only have up to 10 options, and there are 16 possible combinations. eliminating the already used ones, what if there are more than 10? are we going to be able to vote for which ones we definatly dont want to see?
i vote electric, if it gets 2 more votes it will be in the next poll, your vote CAN make a diference.
electric is cool defencively, 1 weak 2 resists, and one of the best attacking types. it only has 3 combos so far (zapdos, magne family, lanturn family) lets vote for it.
all other types are asured a place in the next poll (bar maybe dark) or will not get one (bar maybe poison) stop voteing for ghost/fire/grass. please. electric needs your help.
Fun fact about Ghost / Fighting.
It is one of the few Pokemon who could have a chance at breaking Blissey and Cresselia, depending on its spread.
Yes, that's my point. Tyranitar, Weavile, Scizor, and Heracross are really the only ones that can reliably do it quickly. This Pokemon would join Scizor, though, as one of only durable tankish Pokemon with typing that gives it few weaknesses (Ghost / Fighting) while still taking out BlissCress.
EDIT: I did not include Tyranitar as, while it has durability, it has a crapload of weaknesses.

First time I read this I was like "What?" but now that I think of it more I can see that working.I'm gonna do a ten percent floor on this. All options with 10% or less are dropped. We have the survivers poll it out in a shorter poll.

So...if a Ghost/Steel does win out, it more likely turn into an Bulky Sweeper like Metagross?Besides that, I'm not an idiot. Levitate/HeatProof are not options for a Steel/Ghost like Magic Guard was not an option for Syclant. Although, with Ghost in the lead, we have the incredibly good options of Ghost/Normal, Ghost/Fight, and Ghost/Steel. It will be fun to see who wins. Also, I think instead of making Ghost/Steel a wall, we should make it similar to Metagross. Much less broken.
