NOC Bigvivor Mafia Game Thread Day 5

Ftr I wish we got more people to comment on what happened yday btw. Like I looked over it again and the tides were turning on M2H reaaaaal fast but only like a bit under half of the game commented on it - which is kinda why I feel like there’s more scum elsewhere?

Yesterday irl time (not D1 lol)? Because yeah I honestly was a bit gutted at opening the thread when I woke up to what, 2 and a half pages?

I'm too close to everything that happened yesterday to have a valid perspective on it for a while. I need other opinions to try and find the middleground within tbh lmao

biggest thing i find wrong about cbs post is that he’s trying to flip m2h for information when imo roles solve the game later anyway - like we just hit who we think is scum imo

sadly is it par for the course for the town cb ive seen when ive played? yes lmfao

Caffeine was the first person to actually verbalise a Sam & M2H vs Texas & Me dichotomy. It's not an insane read on the situation but I think outlining it like that is odd. Especially since Sam & M2H were for all intents and purposes significantly less buddy-buddy than Texas and I became; they agreed on a couple pushes and relied on each other's reads to self-legitimise their own, but they had minimal thread interaction. Also notably, I don't recall Texas ever shading Sam to a significant extent, making the dichotomy narrative he formed more incredulous

it’s also worth noting that somebody’s throwing away their towncred af here if they’re wrong on the push

Huh this is interesting

I feel like this might be true in a 2-faction game but I also wouldn't bank on it if we put stock into people like Haruno and Texas claiming to JUST be lost masons which is a really weak role (and barely suffices as role madness tbh lmao)

But 3-faction games are much harder to solve. Ofc the Sificon revelation implies it's 2-faction and a small number of indies, but on the other hand I could still see 3-faction with that indie just being here to kill off non-committers and I still almost feel like that's likelier. In that sense, I think it's less role solvable than you seem to think I guess?

I mean once again I think yes but that's more reason why Caff + inactive scenario would want to strangle those tensions for all they're worth bc a bad vote followed by tanked towncred followed by bad vote on whoever tanked their towncred is p much ideal for that universe

Not saying it's happened but it's a possibility worth bearing in mind heavily. I suppose it's undermined by Caff's partiality on the situation where he def sided with me and Texas more than Sam and M2H tho so I might be being paranoid

Not gonna setup spec until we see a baddie but Tommy’s past games are generally 2 faction, iirc he tends to hate heavy swing and his roles have generally made sense

In any world I don’t think the team would just have Caff as exp in this case anyway just based on NKA/thread narrative

Maybe M2H was right when he said it was Texas Caff earlier lmao but I hesitate on justice hammering this. I feel like I can usually read CB but I checked and ig I was wrong a couple times in some of my last games

Does the legacy list I posted last night answer your q
#2,318? It might but more detail on the specific highlighted players could be nice in particular whether your view on Clouds changed after our brief chat about it (fine if it didn't but that's an enigmatic position atm)

Also bc I didn't properly read that before I think, I'm interested if you still think M2H and Caffeine aren't scum together

Also independently prior to this idk cbs posts have been fine. Maybe nitpicky on some things (e.g clouds readslist, vizh) but this is par for the course as either alignment. Hal talked to me about a tell he had which makes sense in context

If it's multifaction what's stopping both of em from stacking kills on eli? Also in a few other games I read there were multiple protectives in games as large as this one. Is that possible here?
If both stack kills on Eli Eli still lives and neither kill goes through in p much every game; doc is a shield from all kills (aside from something like an Arsonist ignite ig). TBQH I don't expect 3p to shoot Eli here if they exist, bc mafia doesn't know they exist and thus have to shoot Eli assuming 3p won't do it for them anyway.

The reason I grouped M2H and Sam together was because they seemed to have the same opinion. It was a case of people who think "it's M2H" and people who think "it's Texas". I get that they haven't been buddying each other throughout the game, they just have more or less the same views from what I can tell.

Idt Texas and Celever have been all buddy buddy w/ each other either, they just share the same viewpoint afair and fall into the former (not that one) camp I described earlier.
