Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave

Jirachi is most often seen using a bulky scarf set with 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe to check faster threats while having defensive utility against them, with the best example of it's victim being tapu lele. But what if we take half of it's role away? Thunder wave will slow down jirachi making it slower than even non scarf pokemons that it usually outruns naturally with its base speed such as landorus-therian and offensive heatran, limiting the user's counterplay against those threats when they are in the 1v1 as the now paralysed jirachi can't get the faster u-turn or healing wish. This will usually work out very well as most clefables opt for knock off instead of thunder wave, making it rare and unconsidered when switch the wish pokemon in.

Reuniclus @ Life Orb/Ghostium Z

Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Focus Blast
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball

Jirachi tends to feed on bulky/slow Psychic (and Fairy types), which tends to make it a good switch into Reuniclus because Iron head flinches just screw it over. This set (while gimmicky) stops Jirachi's Scarf set right in it's tracks bearing it can get TR off while it switches in, as it doesn't care too much about Iron Head damage. (0 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Reuniclus: 109-130 (25.7 - 30.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO)

252+ SpA Life Orb Reuniclus Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Jirachi: 242-286 (59.9 - 70.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Alternatively for a one turn nuke with less power overall afterwards you could go Ghostium Z (or even Fightium Z for other pokemon)

Kartana @ Normalium Z
Level: 100
Jolly Nature
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Sacred Sword
- Giga Impact

A Standard SD normalium z kartana. You SD on the switch, click z and there goes the opposing grass. Even if you have already used the Z, a +2 giga impact is more than enough knock the mushroom out of commision.

+2 252 Atk Kartana Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 56 Def Amoonguss: 694-817 (160.6 - 189.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 252 Atk Kartana Giga Impact vs. 252 HP / 56 Def Amoonguss: 521-613 (120.6 - 141.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

SUBSTITUTE SCIZOR
:Scizor-Mega:
Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite :Scizorite:
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Def / 244 SpD
Impish Nature
- Substitute
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Dual Wingbeat

Defensive Amoonguss sets are optimal counters against Scizor, especially since it's often run with Hidden Power Fire which can be scary against a weakened Scizor and Spore to disable Scizor for a short amount of time. Substitute and Dual Wingbeat are the key players against Amoonguss, Substitute lets Scizor escape from Spore and Dual Wingbeat allows Scizor to 2HKO Amoonguss.

:Scizor-Mega: -> :Amoonguss:

0 Atk Technician Scizor-Mega Dual Wingbeat (2 hits) vs. 252 HP / 56+ Def Amoonguss: 280-332 (64.8 - 76.8%) -- approx. 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
